I like shopping at this store. It's a smaller store with a good selection of pretty much everything: animals/pets, supplies, food, treats, toys etc. My only complaint is when I tried to return an item that I had just purchased days earlier. I paid cash, but had misplaced/lost my receipt at home. The employees refused to refund or give store credit for the unused, unopened (non food) item, even though their website clearly states they accept returns without a receipt for an in-store credit. I even called another of their stores far from me to verify their policy, which I was told I was correct. My store still refused to accept the return. Unacceptable. read more

I happen to go by this location today, and I stopped to see what they had. I was disappointed just by walking in. It felt dirty, the employees did not acknowledge me, and I am very concerned for the way they handled the care of the beta fish. Some were in mason jars, somewhere in little tiny containers. Some of them had dirty water. Some of them looked sick and some locked dead. I called her corporate office, and I don't think I was speaking to someone in the USA. I don't know if my complaint, not really a complaint it's a concern for the welfare of the animals. When I passed the ferret area, it was doing all it could to get my attention. In the corner, there was a pile of poop about halfway up the glass. There was no way that was all in one day. In comparison, to where I usually shop, Pet Supplies Plus, the prices here with higher. I drove by this Pet Supermarket multiple times before I finally decided to stop in and I'm so glad I did. I love this place. It's not anything super phenomenal or extravagant... the size is somewhere between a PetCo and a PetSmart, but I think the prices are better, and you can find so many coupons on their website! There was plenty of staff available if I'd needed help. I feel like typically at pet stores, there are only one or two people working and they get easily overwhelmed. If you're picking out a cat tower, a giant dog bed, an actual animal, or a really heavy container of kitty-litter, you're gonna need assistance for more than just the check-out process. The folks here were all young and friendly. One employee was taking turns petting all of the cats up for adoption, which made me super happy. I hate seeing any animals in cages, even though I know that stores like Pet Supermarket are trying hard to find them homes. Please, please ADOPT your next pet, people. This location is really organized, clean, and definitely easy to navigate. I headed to the cat section for litter and a few toys. I love to pick out anything that contains catnip since my cats go nuts for it. They've been enjoying their gifts! You'll find all the variety of food you need here, whether you stick with the basic Purina or you feed your animals something gluten-free and organic. They don't have a ton of animals in here up for adoption, only a few at a time. I saw 3 cats, two rabbits, a few ferrets, and birds. I wish I could take them all home with me :( read more

I had visited a restaurant nearby and just saw this store while sitting at the light. Decided to stop in and just see what they had. I was in and out pretty quick. Stopped and looked at the animals in the front then went straight to the Hermit Crab section. Was looking for a bigger shell for my daughters Crab and they had an ok selection. She settled on one and we paid and split. The girl @ the front was very helpful in finding the section for me when we first entered and was very friendly. Other then that she wasn't knowledgeable about Hermit Crabs. They did have couple colors of sand and some peat moss to mix with it which I hadn't seen before but I am new to Hermit Crabs. Sounds like they have a Vet come every Sunday to give shots and stuff there was a line for it, so must be a pretty popular thing. read more

My favorite Arlington pet store. It is a convenient location for me and they have a great selection of food and treats. I have the most impossibly high maintenance mutt (yes it is my fault) so finding a place with great dog food selection is important. They have a bigger selection than most small pet stores especially bag size. They have everything from basic Iams to gluten free/limited ingredient choices. Even better, they always have coupons and deals for the more expensive bags. The treats/bone section is also one of the best I have seen. They have all types of rawhides, antlers, pigs ears, etc. The treats also have gluten free and american made available. My picky pup can always find something for himself. I also like that the employees always make sure I am not dragging the huge 30 pound bags and are willing to take it out to my car for me. The service is so nice when I decide to stock up. read more

I have seen Pet Supermarkets around in other places so when I got a coupon sheet in the mail I decided to check out the Fielder location after it first opened. Before then, I had been buying my cat food at Petco (which is, frankly, closer) or Petsmart but I like Pet Supermarket better. Unlike Petsmart, their store is small enough so I can just pop in and grab what I need instead of walking all the way to the back of the store to get the cat food. They are also the only store I have been able to find that sells the Evo 95% meat canned food that I am currently feeding my cats. They have a wide variety of cat items for such a smaller store and I like how they offer to carry heavy things to the car for you. The staff is friendly and I can always find someone to help if I have any questions. Pet Supermarket is also very good about sending coupons in both the mail and email. I get several a month and it helps a lot. If you buy food by the bag or case, you get the 10th free as well. I just wish they sold my cats' food by the case! They do their cat adoptions through the city shelter and that process was quick and easy. I had wanted to get a younger cat that would be friendly toward my young son and ended up getting two because they were running a special on black cats since they're harder to adopt out. They're brothers and my son absolutely loves them. I like how Pet Supermarket helps give the shelter cats a chance. read more

I use to go here to get my cat food but lately its always out of stock. Unfortunately this store is right down the street but i have to go out of my way to shop at Petsmart to get the food. I don't visit anymore. I went in there to look for bigger travel crates for my 3 cats. All the crates were on the top row and I couldn't see the prices or the sizes. I really wanted to see the one on wheels because of my back. I asked the clerk and she was so disinterested in helping. She didn't offer to get any if them down so i could inspect them. I'm sorry i put her out (talk about lazy)! I again got in my car and bought three crates from Petsmart. Someone at Petsmart actually came up and asked me if i needed help. This store would have been great since it is so close to home. Customer service gets my vote and it doesn't happen here. The staff doesn't know the product or care to take the initiative to learn. I don't who does your ordering but they could do a better job keeping certain pet food in stock. read more

This was my second time visiting this location. The first time was about a month ago. I am very loyal shopper to Petsmart but they were out of my cat food so I decided to try this place, and like I said today was my second visit. The first visit was wonderful. The employees and manager was very helpful. Can't remember their names but it was all male employees there. I was very pleased so I decided to come back there this evening. Well that was a huge mistake. It was about 6 pm when I arrived and when I walked in no one was around to Greet me. I did remember where I was guided last time to get my brand of cat food so not a big deal there. After grabbing my food I decided to do a little browsing in the store. And while doing so a couple of the employees began to appear yet still not greeting me or asking me anything. They all just seemed more concerned with gossiping and talking amongst each other. I then proceeded to the checkout and the two girls still were just interested one another and acted like my business was a burden when I asked about the VIP program. That was my breaking point and then asked to speak with the manager and they said they were both the managers I just couldn't believe it. I really hope some one of importance reads this and grasps that this store has some very incompetent " girls " as managers. They care more about talking bad about others, cussing, wanting to go smoke when already smelling like smoke and complaining from what I saw. I'm not very big on this whole yelp thing, and only write a review if it's a really good one, but this was so unprofessional I had to let it be seen. To say the least I won't be coming back to this store. I don't feel comforabe giving my money to a business that puts their reputation in the hands of the " girls " I saw today. I purchased two congo tetras (fish) on Monday. One of the fish was dead the next day. I took the fish back with a sample of my water. The staff/manager said the nitrate level was high. Several tanks were marked indicating they had ick. The tank my fish came out of was not marked on Monday, but it was marked on Tuesday. No refund or exchange per policy. Several months ago I took a fish back to Petco and they said nitrate level was high. They refunded my money. I continue to go to Petco. Tuesday will be my last day going to Pet Supermarket. Their fish are more expensive. Their test says my nitrate levels are high and the assumption is this is the reason the fish is dead. There were dead fish floating in their tank when I took the ick infected fish back for exchange. Dead fish in the exact tank that my fish came out of on Monday. The second congo tetra you sold me is full of ick and has died! read more

I've been coming here for at least 2 years to get my dog food, they've always been great and always price match with Grand Prairie feed store for me since the feed store sells taste of the wild for $10 cheaper. I came today and the manager was a total jerk. He wouldn't do the price match since Grand Prairie feed store didn't answer the phone. This happened once before and they price matched anyways. He didn't offer to help carry the food, ask me if I needed anything, or thank me for coming. That has NEVER happened before. Usually everyone is extremely friendly and always offers their help and does the price match. I'm not gonna lie it made me angry. Guess I'll take my business to Grand Prairie feed store instead. Where is the old staff that used to be here? They were way more friendly and helpful. Don't like this manager at all. read more

This store is smaller than a Petsmart so they don't have a huge variety, but it is a very clean, well stocked store with friendly, helpful staff. Definitely worth the visit! They also have a small selection of pets: fish, birds, hamsters, adorable kittens and cats, and ferrets waiting for someone to love them and take them home. read more
