Sarah Young, a groomer for a while now of Leo, our Havanese fur baby (who just turned six), after a friend who takes Nina, Leo's best buddy there, referred her to us. Sarah is intuitive with dogs and is aware of Leo's sensitivity to razor burns, so the entire grooming experience is much less traumatic for him than with previous groomers. I'm not here often because I usually have my cat food and litter delivered, but still find myself here from time to time. This is for the Grooming Dept at this location. I made an online appt for grooming. In the notes, I mentioned that my pup had been treated for an ulcer in his eye but was treated and cleared. They called and said they weren't comfortable grooming him and canceled my appt. Even though the vet at that location cleared him for grooming. I understand their hesitancy but only if it were an active issue. And it isn't. They could consult with the vet but didn't. It makes me less confident in their ability to groom and be careful around his eye, if that is their issue. It is convincing me to not be upfront about things like this. read more

I placed an online order for pickup from this location January 3rd. Upon picking up my order I noticed that the dry food I selected was sent to be fulfilled at a different location due to not having it in stock. I never went to that location, being that it's at least 30 minutes on the other side of town. After 3 days of not picking up an order, it says that it will be canceled and you will be refunded so I didn't really think much of it. While placing an order today, I realized that I was never refunded, but the item that was sent to the other store had been changed to "picked up". I spoke to customer service and we apparently had a miscommunication, as she did not speak to the correct location. Again, no big deal, as Rebecca, who worked at the Lincoln Square location called me to let me know that she repacked the entire order and I could come pick it up the same day. I let her know that her store actually fulfilled my order and I had already picked it up. There was just one out of stock item that was sent somewhere else and that's the one item I needed, considering I paid for it and never received it or a refund. She ensured me that she'd reach out to that particular location about my item, and that she would have the item for me once I got there. Upon arrival, I needed a few more things so I grabbed them and headed to checkout. A nice gentleman came to assist me. Once he finished my transaction, I let him know that I had spoken to Rebecca earlier in the day and that she set aside something that I didn't receive. He called for someone else, an older lady with a grey bob, who brought the bag from the exact spot that pickup orders that have ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR SIT, and just slapped it on the counter says it's on hold and walked away... He then asks me am I ready to pay for it. I tell him that I already paid for it. He then calls the same lady back up who rudely says "so what's the problem"... I'm not sure why she was so upset but I explained to her that I had already spoken to customer service AND Rebecca, who I would assume was the manager, and that this was set aside because I ALREADY PAID FOR IT, I NEVER RECEIVED IT, AND I NEVER GOT A REFUND. She then snatches the paper that was taped to it and says "just take it", rolls her eyes and again, just walks away from me. I'm not sure what her name is but she was a rude, older lady. If she can't be polite then she doesn't need to be addressing paying customers. I really don't appreciate her tone or attitude towards me. I gave two stars considering that the gentleman at the register and Rebecca were both extremely polite to me and helpful, however, that old lady needs to check her attitude. read more

My husband and I brought our three month old husky puppy Gunther in, this was only his 3rd outing and so he was a bit nervous but Blake, who was working at the front register greeted us and gave Gunther some treats intentionally so my puppy would make a positive association with the store! He even gave us advice on slow feeders. Such a sweet gesture that made my day and made Gunther happy and that much less afraid of people and of going into pet shops! read more

We are very disappointed with the recent grooming of our dog . We brought in pictures of what we desired. Immediately, Kory stated " that's not what you want and that she didn't want to use that blade" She was loud and did not even want to have a discussion. She should have just volunteered that she couldn't do the classic cut we wanted. We would asked told her to leave the face alone. Instead, she did what she wanted to do and did awful job with framing the face and cutting the beard of our dog. It's downright embarrassing . It will take months to grow out. I came in to buy food for my pets and the elderly woman at the cash register was extremely rude for no reason. It was 9:13 AM on August/11/2024. My boyfriend and I got to the register and no one was there so we had to wait a while. Finally this grey haired women walks up stands in front of us (still not behind the register) and makes a weird comment about my shoes(plain black tennis shoes). Anyways this woman sees that I'm holding our puppy and then she grabs my puppy out of my hands (without asking) and then starts insulting her appearance saying her eyes were a "weird" colour and her colouring was "strange." She asked me what breed she was and I told her and then she went on and on about how I should've rescued a dog. I tried to explain to her that we were looking into getting a rescue because my previous rescue dog passed away and then this puppy was gifted to me, but she just kept berating me for not getting a rescue. She asked me multiple times how much money I spent on my dog and I kept trying to change the subject, so she could ring me up and I could pay for my stuff. After the 4th time asking I told her how much she was. Then the woman went on about how I could've gotten a better dog at a shelter and how people that get dogs from breeders are bad people. She kept saying how ridiculous the price was and that it was a bad decision getting my dog. All of this was going on while she's holding my dog and inspecting her like an absolute freak. Like dude it's 9 in the morning on a Saturday and I'm just trying to get food for my pets I don't need you to hold my dog hostage and talking to me condescendingly. read more

My family and I have been leaving our dog at petsmart Petshotel for year now. We dropped off our dog there for Thanksgiving day because we had family who was allergic to dogs coming to visit. He was there the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to the following Friday and I was told he was going to get lots of play time and be well taken care of. When I picked him up he was wheezing for air. I went back and asked the staff what was going on and if he got hurt. They replied "yes that is weird" so I made an appointment with banfield to get him checked the next morning. He had cried and screamed so much inside of the kennel he was put in, he lost his voice. I understand pets getting upset when they are left by their owner but this wasn't our first time putting him in the care of Petsmart pets hotel. He came home and just slept for a full day, drank water and ate food as if he was starved and after that day of rest his voice slowly came back. To think you spend over $140 for your dog to be somewhere safe but in return get a dog who is traumatized. Never again... read more

Very unprofessional! i would never recommend this location and would advise that you check your receipt because they will add charges just because they are not professional, they will charge you for grooming services not performed. No apologies will ever be given. Your groomer will leave before you pick up your dog and depending upon your ethnicity they may be rude. Please cautious of this toxic grooming facility. I advised someone in headquarters but all they did was block me from making any future appointments at any location. Never rendered an apology for my experience. This was my first time taking my dog to get groomed here and they seemed nice at first. We discussed how my dog would be cut and to my surprise when I got there my dog didn't even look like herself. But anyways her hair was more maintained so fine. But, I added the service for my dogs nails to get clipped I get there and they told me she was too difficult so they only cut two. Again I was fine with that because that may have been the case but then I get home and one of her nails is completely side ways and hanging out of her paw. I called this morning to ask if they could just cut that nail considering it's now hanging and the lady asked who cut my dog and then said "it probably got stuck on something, once we refuse a dog we can't take them back." (After making a few other excuses) Sounded like she completely just made up a few scenarios of WHAT MAY HAVE happened instead of actually talking to the person who did this to my dog. AND, I would've been fine if that were truly the case and they mentioned it at the time of pick up so I could've gotten it taken care of elsewhere. Don't even get me started on the hair cut. Stay away from this place. I am visiting this area before going on vacation . I took my dog to get a haircut with a groomer named Crystal because I read a positive review . I got there at 8am Crystal was very aggressive with me when asking how I wanted my dog cut . After picking my dog up at 10am I knew something was wrong . He was way too excited to see me. My dog has been completely lethargic since I have picked him up. He will not eat or drink and won't use the bathroom . He is completely traumatized. I spoke to the salon manager and they said they can pay for me to see a vet on Thursday . It is Tuesday what are we supposed to do until then. If you love your pet avoid this place at all costs . I have also contacted corporate I will keep everyone posted on how they handle this traumatizing situation . read more

Only because there are no zero stars. Worst experience I've had at a groomer ever. People who have seen her basically said she looked like a 3-year-old took some scissors to her. Bad enough when your dog LOOKS awful - but when they are so traumatized they come home and sit in your lap for hours, and haven't completely recovered weeks later? After I calmed down, I reached out to customer service TWICE and have yet to receive anything other than a call from the groomer who left a voicemail message while i was at work - two WEEKS after it happened wanting to make sure "HE" was okay ... despite the fact that I had said many times it was a "SHE." The name/gender issue is not important, except that it is a great example of the total lack of concern exhibited by everyone from corporate customer service who sent "canned" emails down to the local management, as far as I can tell. I was promised a return call - never got another one. I WAS offered a $10 coupon if I came in and spent $40. HA HA HA I will NEVER step foot in a PetSmart for ANY purpose ever again! As a follow up - we took our poor baby to John Paul's in Grand Prairie after this fiasco. they were WONDERFUL, our dog was HAPPY and looked as beautiful as a poor shaved Bichon Frise can, and it was LESS expensive!!! read more

I always need fish supplies and dog treats and this is one of my go to places. This PetSmart is a very nice clean store easy location to get into. Nice size you can find all you need for your pets. The customer service is good. I have never had an issue with bad service. The fish department is good the tanks are pretty clean not the best but usual for a PetSmart. But watch out for snails in the tanks. You do not want snails in your tank they will take over and it gets real nasty. The prices on fish are good. But look for sales you can get some good deals on fish. Same thing on the dog treats the prices are about the same as everybody else which is too high. But they have buy one get one free sales at different times. So wait and buy the dog treats then. read more

I use this pet smart exclusively for grooming appointments because the convenient scheduling on the app makes it super easy to plan ahead and keep things documented and organized. I've used the grooming service as a relatively new dog owner 3 times now and my experience has been.. mixed. The first time I went I was prepared with rabies vaccination records and somewhat over prepared as far as questions for the groomers because it was my first time. They didn't ask for any vaccine records and answered my questions to the best of their ability. I'm not going to name drop for the negatives, but I will say that Sarah Y was VERY helpful and kind, and made me feel like my dog was in good hands. So the first puppy trim was over all a good experience outside of some passive aggressive demeanor from some of the other staff that I talked to as well. The second time I went in I did not bring the rabies vaccination document because believe it or not my puppy got a hold of it and shredded it. However since they didn't ask for it last time I figured it would be fine and they would see him anyway since he was already in their system. I should have known better because they turned me away for not having it (Unfortunately the clinic that I got the rabies vaccine from was already closed so I couldn't get an email copy that day). This time was with a different groomer as well and most of the people I talked to were very passive aggressive with me despite my best ability to just gather all the information I needed from them and trying to explain where I was coming from and why I was confused about the whole situation. Also, this appointment in particular was rescheduled 2 times putting the appointment back 2 weeks in total. This last visit I had being just yesterday went off pretty well however we still have a passive aggressive issue with some staff. The appointment was at 9:30 and we showed up a little early. But we're in a line of about 4 people. 9:30 hits and we make our way to the counter seemingly right on time. We were asked to let the people behind us go first because they were waiting outside the building before us (honestly I wasn't too sure who was there first or whatever and frankly it didn't matter much to me). However the tone used to express this was again, passive aggressive and snarky. Like I work service industry as well, and I get it that some people are just awful, but I have never been rude by any means towards any of the staff even if they were being condescending towards me and I've just taken a stance of understanding and patience for my dog's sake. Enter the hero of the story Sarah Y. Our dog's groomer of the morning (and the very first groomer we had) showing up at 9:36. Sees us and remembers us from months ago. Brings us in and gets everything set up for us. Inspects our dog and asks us how things have been health wise. Noticed some tangling in the leg area (poodle mix) and gave us helpful information to help deal with it. The important thing about this is that she was just real about it, and constructive with how she talked to us. Also she's amazing with results. Our dog was happy when it was done and looked/felt amazing. I would like to note that in NONE of our visits was our dog ever scared or injured. Our dog was actually excited to be groomed on our last visit and seemed to remember Sarah as well. So I'de like to separate a 5 star experience for results. Conclusion: it's a good and convenient place to get your pet groomed, but just be ready to be on the receiving end of some patronizing or hostile services. Sarah is you read this review. I have come here multiple times on different occasions to get my dog groomed. Each time being forgiving thinking the next time would be better. Boy was I wrong. This place is ridiculous, not even sure how they are still open. The staff in the grooming department is extremely rude, they all have an attitude, and they don't complete all tasks you pay for, they have no desire to satisfy your dogs needs. She wasn't in but I had Amy's nails trimmed by a young lady who did a wonderful job. And they didn't overcharge me at all. I love PetsMart. They have lots of great deals and you can go there for a 1-stop shop. Get your dog groomed, take him to the vet, take him to obedience classes, and find some special treats for him. However, I was able To shop for the best treat of all. It was here through PetsMart's partnership with House of Meows that I was able to adopt my kitty Pierre. I had just lost my cat of 13 years to diabetes. I had spent all weekend looking for a new companion, and when I called, the lady at House of Meows sold me on Pierre. When I got there, I saw this long haired white kitty with vivid green eyes. He was sweet, cuddly, and playful. I instantly bonded with him. Even his foster mom had a hard time letting him go. This PetsMart is also where my mom adopted her white kitty and orange tabby, who happened to be a brother/sister pair. This PetsMart has the best selection of adoptive pets and a really friendly staff. read more

I have only been to this location once before. The associates were sweet and friendly. They pulled my records from the Arizona PetSmart I have been using for the past 3 years. They did a good job. Wasn't as great as it was in AZ BUT they went there a lot..and got used to them. So I'm sure it was because it was their first time. Getting familiar with them and what not. This is where we go to get our kitty food, treats, and the like. I like it because it's always clean and is the closest pet store to us. We normally don't do box stores. This is our only exception. They generally have what we want and a lot of times it's on sale, especially the litter. We always bought "crappy" cat food (with by-products and the like- typically one of the cheapest) but they have great healthy options and we are now doing that. The cats are loving it, eating less, their coats are shinier (a sign of health) and they are cheerier! The store is also willing to do bulk orders. So if we let them know we want something, they will order it, normally something they already buy but in larger quantities. I love their random coupons. Every now and then we get the $3 off your purchase coupon. I also love that they adopt out kitties, and don't sell them. I hate that they sell other animals and hate seeing them caged (guinea pigs, rats, birds, reptiles, fish). Overall, it is a place that we get what we need, is super close by, and often has great deals. :) read more

She also cut my dog's hair and it looks wonderful. She knew exactly what kind of cut that I want for my dog. We had an 10:30 appointment for them to groom our dog. We were told it would be 5 hours when we got there and that we should just leave our dog. They call us to come get our dog but she wasn't even groomed yet when we got there so we had to wAit another hour. The lady grooming our dog looked like she was mad. Service here is hit or miss, usually miss. What should have been a quick transaction was not so. I'm not sure why employers like to have new representatives working during peak times.I understand that we are all new to a job at some point & we have to learn. Having said that if you are new and need help then ask, Also if you realize that you have 5 customers in line and you are stuck with an issue please call for backup. Was there to pick up an online order and some treats and the experience was underwhelming. Cashier had an issue with almost each customer. The manager who went to retrieve the online order had the personality of a russet potato. He brought the items from the back & they weren't in a bag, box, nothing. Just basically handed me the items & I signed to agree I'd picked them up. The stupid groomers wouldn't take my dog because he had kennel cough 3 MONTHS ago. They even called his vet and the vet cleared it but they wouldn't take him. Which means we had to cancel the appointment we had made for the time our puppy would getting groomed. My business has gone elsewhere and every other groomer I have talked to has said it was fine for him to come. The people that work there are trashy too. read more
