I've been using Pet Sit Pros for over a year now. Finding them was the key to my freedom. I absolutely love and adore my dog, but lacked the ability to take the occasional weekend getaway trip, because I had no one to care for him. I searched local kennels and was unhappy with what I found. When I came across Pet Sit Pros, I was hesitant at first, not being very trusting, but Jay and his team put me at ease immediately. We've been using Pet Sit Pros for almost two years now and we love it!! We truly love our pets as if they are our children and we completely trust the staff at Pet Sit Pros to take care of them. We have two Saint Bernards (130 pounds each) and a sassy fluff ball cat and the staff are able to handle them with no issues. We have very specific feeding and walking instructions for our beastlike dogs and the staff follow them to the T. We love getting detailed text updates, along with photos, while we're away and a cute report card for each pet upon our return. They also send thoughtful birthday cards with treats for the pets which is a super cute bonus. We have used PSP about 2-3 times now and have been pleased every single time. Their rates are reasonable, their sitters are friendly, and when we moved and needed a sitter last minute they totally played it cool when we had to reschedule about three times to have them pick up the new keys. So when I lived in the gay ghetto (Alamitos Beach) the pet sitter there sent us pictures like they were Instagram posts. My new sitter is pretty straight forward and doesn't do as much, but it's all good. To each their own and at least the fur babies are being taken care of. I have recently been promoted which means more time spent at the office. I will update on their dog walking services after I start using them! Everyone I have encountered at PSP have been professional and easy to talk to. So why four stars? I've never used anyone else and don't plan to. I believe that there is always something better out there (like my sister, who I would pay in food), but why stray when I have the best at the moment? UPDATE 4/12/14 Their walking services are great! Updates and pictures; Francisco went above and beyond what I wanted him to do. COMMUNICATION is great with PSP. They're extremely receptive. I also have to give kudos to their earthquake plan -- they have it covered and are running a great business. My English Mastiff loves his dog walkers. Jen and Calvin leave the best notes and sometimes send pictures to show how happy Roc is. I have been using Pet Sit Pros for awhile now and have had no complaints. Once Jen even caught a gas smell in the house and it turned out to be the range was left on. PSP came highly recommended by other pet owners in my condo community, so i decided to give them a call. This was my first time using PSP and it will not be my last. Very reasonable standard daily rates with a small additional fee for holiday coverage. I have two cats with high energy needs and my primary sitter Franciso exceeded mine and their expectations. My dudes generally take a few hours or days to warm up to a new face, Francisco connected with them immediatly during the mandated 'met and greet.' That won me over so i committed to booking services with PSP for the time i was away. Professional and pet confident, Francisco provided daily reports, photos and a video to me ensuring me that my dudes were alive and well. I could tell the continous growth and connection that my dudes made with him based on the extensive test mesagges he would send on a daily basis. I have been using Pet Sit Pros for a month. I moved to the area for a job and didn't know anyone. I did some research and found that Pet Sit Pros had great reviews, so I set up a "meet and greet" with them and one other business. When Tyler, Taryn and Fernando came to meet him, they actually sat down and played with him. Moose was loving it. I liked that they actually played with him and gave him the attention rather than trying to sell their service to me. The other people I that came to meet Moose did the opposite, that is why I went with Pet Sit Pros (even if they cost a little more). My schedule when I started my job was day to day, and Jay (the owner) and Tyler were able to accommodate visits to help me (and Moose) out. Tyler is my primary walker, he is great- I get pictures, texts and written "report cards" about how Moose was. He is very flexible with times and I really feel like he cares about Moose. Just today I had to add on a appointment because Moose was sick so I texted Jay and he was able to set it up for me. Tyler was able to work it into his schedule even though it was only 2 hours notice (on a sunday)! I can't imagine anywhere else would be as trustworthy, caring and accommodating as they have been. We had never left our toy poodle with anyone but our parents before our recent trip to San Diego and Temecula. I wasn't too into the idea of boarding, so when we came across Pet Sit Pros I was excited to meet them and see how everything worked. After meeting Jay and his team I felt confident that they could take care of our little fur baby. The scheduling process is easy using their on line system where you can also create a profile for your pet detailing any special needs, location of pertinent pet items, etc. Their prices are competitive and well worth it for the peace of mind they provide. My husband and I were not happy about finding a new sitter for our cat Stella, I came upon Pet Sit Pros on Yelp and after reading the reviews decided to reach out to them. They responded right away and setup a home visit, I was impressed with the fact they sent 3 people, one would be our sitter, they asked all the right questions and took the time to get to know Stella's habits. Gina ended up sitting for Stella and she was fantastic! Stella is very shy and has never come out from under the couch with any other sitter, she did the first day with Gina. I got daily pictures and overview of how Stella was doing. Through the pictures I could tell Stella was happy and loved spending time with her. When I got home the place was clean, mail neatly organized and a report card of Stella's daily activities. Wanted to update my last review after having just come back from a week long trip to Mexico. Francisco was our overnight sitter and I can't praise him enough for the service he provided. It can be stressful leaving your house and two puppies behind when going out of the country and from that first day we didn't think twice about it. From the moment we stepped on the plane, Francisco had already checked in. We received texts and pics a couple times a day, and the pups were having so much fun. We even left Francisco with one puppy who was on special food and meds and he didn't miss a beat. When we returned home, everything was perfect. Probably better than we left it. We have now been using PSP for the last 6 months, and have been very happy with the service! Jay and his sitters make sure that my dogs and my home are well taken care of while I'm away so that when I return, it's like I never left at all. I've been having a difficult time finding someone to care for my new puppy because I work night shifts and need someone to sleep at my place to watch him. He's not ready to be alone yet plus he chews on everything so he needs close supervision. I've asked family and friends, but when I would come home I'd see something damaged by my puppy so I really needed someone who was willing to watch him even if they lose sleep overnight. I can't believe I found PSP! I was hesitant to have a stranger stay over, but they met my expectations plus more! My Petsitter stayed overnight for two nights and cleaned up after my puppy, played with him, and made sure nothing was damaged. He even took out the trash! Was super anxious about leaving my kittens alone while I travelled and even more anxious about giving a stranger my keys. Scoured Yelp and PSP was: A) one of the closest services to me and B) the highest rated! Had a 'meet and greet' session which eased me up a bit. I also liked being able to write everything in an online profile instead of writing stuff down or hoping the sitters remember. The sitters are super professional and friendly - most are local college kids, it seems like. They even wear t-shirts, so you know who they are. During my holiday, I got a text every few days which quelled some of my anxiety, and when I returned home, I had a "report card" of what my furry babies got up to waiting for me. It was definitely clean when I came back - the litter boxes were probably the cleanest in months! My kitties seemed purrrfectly happy when I came home. Tips for the future: 1) if you book in advance for the holidays, the holiday surcharge MAY be waived (need to follow up on how far advance, if this deal still applies, etc.) 2) Remember the combinations to any locks, etc. that you leave and 3) be sure to thank your sitter! read more

I began using Pet Sit Pros a couple of years ago for overnight pet sitting for our dog and cat. The peace of mind they provide that our "babies" are safe, well cared for, and receiving lots of attention is priceless. The initial response from my query was great - Jay responded very quickly and also gave me references (something none of the others had provided). The meet and greet was great, and you could tell both Jay and Rebecca (one of the sitters) really loves animals. We receive updates while we are away - not that we need to because after the first pet sit we know they're going to be well looked after. I lost my regular walker this Spring & was having a hard time find a new one. Jake has some socialization issues with other dogs & wasn't sure who I could trust with him & my home. Luckily my son saw a young lady walking 2 dogs & she had a Pet-Sit-Pros shirt in my neighborhood. So I looked their website but was a little put off when I saw it was a franchise but decided to give them a try. Jay answered with a text almost immediately & we set up a "Meet & Greet" with 4 of his group. Jake is very nervous in new situations & around new people but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he adjusted to the group. He does better with women & so I decided to try Jennifer with Tyler as my backup. It has been a great decision & when Jennifer was unavailable, Tyler was just as great with Jake. This was wonderful because when my other walker couldn't make it, Jake was out of luck. I was so happy that Jake adjusted to Jenniffer so quickly & I could use the " anytime" discount available. I've been impressed by how responsible she is & when she smelled gas on day, she called to let me know. I knew it was the pilot light on my grill & no problem but was so glad to hear from her. They brochure & daily visit check off shows how responsible this team is trained for both your dog & property. I will probably use this team when I travel in the future. When I moved here from NJ, I interviewed four dog-walking companies. Pet Sit Pros sent a team of four walkers out for a meet n greet so that if my primary walker was ill or on vacation, I would feel comfortable with someone else in my home. They spent time answering questions and running through scenarios with my two dogs that made me feel incredibly comfortable.
