We brought our baby girl to get microchiped for $15 and have a custom dog tag made for $7

We have been here several times to get our dogs microchiped and have custom dog tags made. The staff is always helpful, courteous and professional. They are a non profit rescue organization that really cares and it shows!

The easiest and most caring place to adopt a pet. I got my loving pitbull Flash who received a bed, treats, and food when I adopted him. They are so caring and want these animals to go to a safe home. They always check up and see how the adjustment is going, they have so many amazing pets still there to adopt that I wish I could adopt them all. Definitely recommend them, it was an easy process and ADOPT DONT SHOP!!

He is still Billy for now, we will eventually agree upon a name. We can not express how much joy he has brought into our home. Thank you.

I can not say enough about Pet Rescue Solutions. They are some of the most caring people I have come across in a long time. Their hearts are in the right place and you need that to care for pets. The passion that goes into their care is remarkable. Pet RESCUE Solutions, yes RESCUE, that is what they do. I'd like to thank all of you for your devotion to the pets you keep and find homes for, you're making a difference in the lives of people and pets.

They helped me get a cute kitten. Now he has become a great addition to our home and my older cat loves him!

Pet Rescue Solutions helped me get a new fried for my older cat. She couldnt be any happier and neither could the new kitty.

2025 left me devastated after my two fur babies passed away. I took my time grieving as loosing any…read morepet is difficult. Which is even harder to do when Instagram algorithms keep showing you all the urgent dogs who are at risk for euthanasia. Well it finally worked because I finally decided to drive down to the shelter just to "look." It was so heartbreaking to see so many pets begging for affection and love. What made it even worse was only being able to save one. So how does one choose? Personally, I look for the ones who have been there the longest, the ones who have been returned, and the ones who haven't been networked. Basically the ones that are first to be euthanized. While the shelter provides me their assessment, I have found that it is not always accurate. Which is why doing a meet and greet in the play area is critical in making your own assessment of the dog. The meet and greet is key in planning for what kind of training and schedule the dog will need. I never assume that the dog will be perfect in every way as soon as I bring him or her home. Which is why I plan meticulously on how to successfully integrate this new family member into our lives. Being a veteran with PTSD helps me understand how difficult it is to go from chaos to being home safe again. Which is why patience is important to give the dog as much time as they need to decompress. Then I bring over the dog trainer to give me their behavioral assessment so we can get to work. So who's the lucky dog? None other than a dog I affectionately call Harry because when I first saw him he was behind bars and was underweight. It made me think of that scene from Harry Potter where Ron was telling his mom that Harry was being starved and had bars on his windows. Officially, we named him Dodger formerly known as Zeus! He was returned for not getting along with another dog. That may be true for that previous owner, but so far that has not been my experience. Especially because I did slow introductions and continue to separate as well as supervise any and all interactions. One thing to understand about the adoption process is that they are surrendered for numerous reasons. Owner died, having a baby, no time, bad behavior, homeless, can't afford them, etc. That's okay it happens. If you are new to adopting pets consider fostering first so you can be fully supported before making it official. Or even volunteer if you simply are not ready. Now that I'm an empty nester and after loosing my fur baby I was ready to open my heart to a dog who needed a home. I have all the time in the world to help him thrive and he truly is the best. If you have the space and need a companion, please consider fostering or adopting. So many wonderful animals are euthanized because there's no space. Take the drive down to the shelter and "look." I'm so glad I did. The thought of my dog being euthanized because he had zero interest breaks my heart. My mornings went from depressing starts to so much love from a dog affectionately staring at me from his dog bed. My lonely days are filled with laughter and joy from all the silly goofy antics. Teaching him how to trust again after what he has been through has been healing for the both of us. We make each other feel safe and I am incredibly thankful for him. We saved each other. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff who do their best. This job is certainly not easy, but I'm grateful for you all.

There are so many dogs here -- and honestly, it's the same situation at almost every shelter right…read morenow. They're all over capacity and doing their best with what they have. This shelter recently extended their hours, which makes it a little easier for people to visit, donate, and hopefully adopt. When I was there, I watched the front desk staff handle a very tough situation. A woman wanted to adopt, but the staff recognized her and knew her past adoptions ended badly -- dogs had gone missing, died, gotten stolen. She didn't allow the adoption, and I respect her for that. These staff members have a hard job. They spend all day surrounded by scared, stressed dogs barking nonstop. They clean, they deal with emergencies, and they watch animals struggle because people failed them. Truly, mad respect for the people who show up to do this work every day. There's a donation box outside, so you don't even have to go in to drop off items. There's also a small play area, which is nice, even though many of the dogs are still so scared. None of them are here because of anything they did -- they're here because someone else let them down. Some kennels had fresh poop, and it's simply because there aren't enough staff, enough funding, or enough volunteers. If you can volunteer, please consider it. The easiest way is to talk to someone who already volunteers -- they'll help guide you. The staff and volunteers I saw were working nonstop and doing everything they could. They deserve so much appreciation. And I really have to highlight Tom Kiesche, a volunteer. He is an absolute powerhouse. I've followed him on Instagram for a while, and he goes above and beyond for these animals. He posts photos and videos of the dogs, writes about them, and helps them get seen so they have a better chance at finding homes. He even attends city meetings and speaks up for animals who don't have a voice. He's truly an angel on earth, and this shelter is so lucky to have him. I didn't get to meet him because he was busy, but I saw him hard at work, and it was inspiring.

I'll include the data from their records that shows that he had a pot belly (which their staff denied when I spoke with them). The manager was very nice but the owner said I was lying and that my vet was just tricking me. I asked them to just test the other cats at the shelter because everything my cat had was very contagious. I have been to three vets in the months afterwards and all three had a consensus about what he had Here is a list of diagnoses and treatments as a timeline: October (Toby) cat medical history timeline * January 4, 2026 - Adopt Toby (formerly named Rudolph) * January 5, 2026 - Bring to the vet with a fecal sample. Unfortunately, I have never experienced the pleasure of owning some type of an animal. Thanks to mama Flora. She had always injected the fear in me. Not to get close, it will bite, attack, harass.. I have few friends that do own dogs and cats. One of my friends wanted to go check out this place and see if she could adopt a cat and replace the cat that she had that passed away 6 months ago. She couldn't wrap her head around the devastation of losing her cat Katy. With that being said, she asked me to go with her to this animal shelter and see if she could adopt a new cat. I agreed and went there like 2 weeks ago. There was this one cat that she instantly fell in love with, did all the paperwork with their staff, got all the information pertaining to the vaccines, immunizations, medications, & vet information. All the employees were caring, nice professional and helpful. The shelter was nice and clean. Established in 1903. They also do dog training, have pet supply store, animal control, workshops & kids programs. She had tears of joy in her eyes after adopting her new cat and named her after her late cat. For me, all this was new. Who knows, maybe one day I will adopt a cat and give it to my mama and she will get used to the animal.. hours of operation are 9:30am-5:30pm. Seven days a week. We parked outside and don't know if they have parking or not. The entire process was quick, fast, effortless, and seamless. Good luck to my friend & to her new cat!! The only assistance provided was a microchip scan, and I was not given any meaningful direction or help afterward. I left feeling dismissed during a situation where I was actively trying to do the right thing for an animal in need. As someone who has previously supported this organization, I was genuinely disappointed by the lack of communication and care in that moment. I understand shelters can be busy and overwhelmed, but clearer guidance and a more supportive approach would make a big difference for people trying to help lost animals. I hope this feedback helps improve how situations like this are handled in the future.
