I brought in my two English labs, Amber and Honey Bee, for nail trim and dremel. They are 4yo and 9yo, respectively. I have taken them multiple places for nail trims and there has never been any issue with them. Monday I was concerned when the person only took Amber back alone, then when it took nearly 10 minutes and the person working the desk went back "to help her." I could hear her yelping. I probably should have left with Honey Bee when Amber came back to me, but I had already paid, and quite frankly, was shocked when they said she didn't like the dremel. Honey Bee also took awhile, apparently she was also "quicked" at least 2 times. When she came out she was very gimpy on her back paw and continued to lick it when she got home. To make all of this worse, when she brought Honey Bee out she apologized and then said that she "wasn't a professional." I expect that when I am paying $50 (and I always tip well, even that day) for my dogs to have their nails taken care of (typically a 10 minute total experience that does not involve them getting injured) I am paying for professional services. I had called ahead to see if a groomer were still there and I was told that "they could do their nails." I specifically asked for a groomer! Now I'm worried that my dogs will have issues getting their nails trimmed because someone injured them who should not have even been working on them. I had to wait to address this issue because I was so upset. My husband was livid! He had bought a dremel for me to learn to do their nails, but I was afraid of hurting them so I continued to pay for their nails. I'm concerned to see how they do the next time they need their nails trimmed, but it won't be at your location. For the sake of all dogs, don't let people trim nails who aren't professionals.

GROOMING - Horrifying Experience…read more Took my dog in to get groomed today, she was badly matted but Petco has always been able to groom her with her matted fur. I got a call half way through the appointment saying they couldnt finish her because her matting was so bad. I was understanding and felt horrible. When I picked her up she was crying and had cuts all over her legs. There was fur coming off her and huge chunks of hair hanging off her body. I understand that you cant do a job because of the matting, but the condition I received her in left me sobbing in the car when I saw her and the pain and suffering she went through. Please please please dont come here if your dog has any matting, they do not know hot to handle matting or when to say no or stop before it gets too bad. She has gotten lots of treats and pets while I figure out what to do with her since the vet is booked.

I I found Cats Only here on Yelp and decided to take our 19 year old beautiful black cat Jetta here. She has kidney disease and we needed to establish a new vet relationship quickly. I cannot say enough great things about the team at Cats Only. The service and attention was amazing. They were extremely responsive via email which was my first real communication. The wait time when we arrived was next to nothing and they had towels treated with a kitty relaxer that you put over the carrier to help relax your kitty. They put us in a private room quickly and our first contact was with Hayley. Hayley asked the standard questions to understand our girl and weighed her too. Hayley was awesome. Very nice and kitty oriented for sure. Then came the best part of our experience, Dr Justin K. He was so kind and gentle with our girl and gave us a number of tips on how to continue giving her a good quality of life. He patiently answered all questions and provided some much needed advice. He also explained how accessible he would be if we ever needed anything. The checkout process was smooth too. I also must mention that their prices are extremely reasonable for a vet practice. I was pleasantly surprised at the lower than expected cost. Finally, I requested a follow up discussion with Shannon to talk through what to expect in this next phase of Jetta's life. Shannon was simply wonderful and answered all my questions while providing her own experience and assuring me that everything I was thinking and feeling was perfectly normal. Please take your kitty here if you need a vet clinic. We won't go anywhere else.

Our trainer, Lisa, was AMAZING and so kind and helpful. Despite having multiple people in the class, she took time to observe each dog and give positive feedback and guidance. She was very open to questions about training and gave very clear and genuine advice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who prefers to train their dog using positive reinforcement! It definitely requires you to put in the majority work at home with your dog but they do an amazing job of showing u how to do it!

...you had me saying goodbye at "your dog is medicated right?" No. "Maybe you should look into…read morethat." My response here isn't going to be any different really than the other low marked reviews, other than we were in the aggressive dog training and not puppy dog training. I had high hopes after pre- screening other facilities. I didn't know too much or was well versed on positive dog training coming into that first meeting and wish i did before we committed. I will say this, that before going into any sort of training for your dog. Research. Research. Research. I clearly did not and ended up spending an extra $150 on treats. I would have been good on going to just the 3hr orientation. She taught a lot of good info, but it's a lot. Bring a snack. ;) If you know and come to understand the breed (or breeds if mixed) you and your dog can work to correct the behaviors. Positive dog training is adding something positive to increase the behavior (reinforce) you want or stop a behavior (punishment) although we're taught it's not really punishing. The class felt like I was constantly just giving him treats all the time for no reason but to distract him from other dogs barking but to me it felt like i was rewarding him FOR barking when other dogs bark, not distracting him from doing it. One key thing I will say that affected me negatively was the attitude from the trainers to us dog owners. Some days he seemed to have a good attitude and most times not. (read other reviews for more info on that) There was lack of organization after orientation; no follow-ups ever and no one during class came to check on us hardly. Even if i asked, it was moved like a few inches so i didn't really feel like we made progress. The last class we took was great. The trainer wasn't there but 4 others were and they all came around to check and ask us questions, move our barriers. They should just do that all the time. We came to class once with our barrier set in the middle of two other dogs - there was a gap in the barrier and the dogs saw each other and went bazurk. AND both dogs on either side had loud dog tags on. the trainers didn't do much to take care of it... in orientation they explicitly told us no tags being an aggressive dog class we needed as little distraction as possible. Anyways, since the classes a year ago, I've dived head first into dog training books in order to train myself and I'm happy to report I understand my dog and the energy I bring into the space with my dog. All things associated if you want to cohabitate with an animal in your house. Here are some things I looked into and what i can recommend; - do your research about your dog. know them. - Follow Pack Leader dogs on Instagram. Found it randomly and I have learned SO MUCH from him! - Read the book 'Be the pack leader'. Great stuff! - YouTube Cesar Millan on Ed Mylett's show titled "you can do whatever you want!" - I read books on what dogs hear and how they interpret sound - very interesting. There's music out there to help block noises outside if you have a barker (YouTube) - Like anything you're trying to learn, it takes patience and time. Research. Get educated. Find what works for you and your dog. Save your money on these guys. Enjoy life with your furry friend!!

During the pandemic, no one was allowed in with their dog so I would call to say we were here, and a vet tech would come get her. The vet would talk to me in the parking lot afterwards. The park and call signs are still up (they tell me to bring her in) which I appreciate because as a stressed dog she tends to bark at other dogs that might be too close to her or me. We can slip in and go to the exam room quickly. Right now there is a respiratory disease going around making dogs ill and deteriorating rapidly. From the moment I walked in, no one even took me seriously. They asked me why I brought him in and I told them gastrointestinal issues. They asked if he was urinating and I was like "ummmm maybe?" The person at the front desk called for a tech "stat because the cat isn't urinating." We get into a room and they come in a few minutes later after examining him wanting to ask some questions. I told them another cat in my house had just had gastrointestinal issues and been sick (brought it home from the vet's office the week prior we think). That wasn't even a question in their mind. The doctor who came to talk to me wanted to focus on "stress at home" and asked about his litter box and food. Then brought out an estimate for $1200 to have an x Ray and bloodwork done even though he had JUST had his wellness check at the vet within the last month and he was given a clean bill of health. They said "well things can change in a day." Ok fine - you're the professionals so I trust you. Nearly two hours later they come back and inform me that the bloodwork was normal and his x Ray was negative for blockage or abnormalities in his abdomen (thank goodness!) but said they could keep him and hospitalize him and send him for additional testing with an internal medicine doctor if I "really wanted to get to the bottom of things." They gave me NO answers and guidance about what was likely the problem and the doctor actually said "it could be cancer. We don't really know," and urged me to hospitalize him for what I'm sure would have been thousands more. I opted to get them to give him subcutaneous fluids and an anti nausea medication so I could take him home and pursue care with his primary vet. Turns out: virus. Thanks for the nice scare throwing out cancer for a 5-year old healthy cat with normal bloodwork and exams. Way to live those core values of caring about your patients and customers. I will NEVER use MedVet ever again. It is the biggest ripoff and runaround.
