I've been looking for a pet groomer for a while and made an appointment with Jen at Jen's Nose to Tail Grooming based on the great reviews. We were pretty disappointed, however, and I wanted to share in hopes of saving someone else from the same bad experience. The haircut that our English Cream Golden, Zoie, got was uneven, and her belly was shaved in huge splotches. Also, Jen told me herself when we dropped off Zoie that they would never cut a golden's hair less than an inch due to the undercoat and inability for the hair to grow back correctly, yet her hair in many places is now much less than an inch. Zoie's 2 back nails were also trimmed down to the quick and this was never mentioned when we picked her up and unfortunately not discovered until we were well into a walk afterwards and realized she was bleeding all over the place. Our appointment was CONFIRMED in an email to be with JEN however, we learned afterwards that someone else actually groomed our dog. When I called Jen and spoke with her about the situation, as well as sent photos, she indicated she was sorry for the issues and miscommunication but would only be able to offer a discount on our next appointment. Which obviously is useless, as we will not be returning. Since you clearly don't know who your dog will be groomed by when you make the appointment, and given the issues that we encountered & their lack taking any responsibility for them, I would advise you to be cautious about doing business with this company.

They've cut my dogs hair twice and neither time they've listened to what I want. It's too short and very uneven. I will not be coming back.

First time here - VERY professional, perfect cut. Extremely impressed. Got a show cut for an English Cocker that was spot on.

I recently stopped shopping here…read more My vacation was disrupted for over an hour overlapping two days over the need to cancel / reschedule an appointment that was to occur over my vacation time... an appointment that I had canceled / rescheduled before leaving town but had not been fully addressed by Mutts & Co Grooming. I was told that even though I had grooming appointments booked for the remainder of the year that my July appointment could not be booked because I did not have a method of payment stored within their new online booking portal. Storing a form of payment on an online booking portal is not something I would ever do and did not appreciate the effort that Mutts & Co put into trying to convince me otherwise during my vacation. I was away for five days. I was interrupted during two days of my vacation over this matter. The unfortunate part of this story is that Savanah is amazing at grooming my fur babies; however, I will not place a method of payment within their online portal. I now need to make alternative arrangements for grooming which is not at all appreciated. Life is busy enough without arbitrary and unplanned side quests. Mutts & Co does offer a variety of healthy products for cats and dogs. They are good about assisting you to the car with large orders or even assisting with curbside pick up. However, all of the products that they carry can be gotten through online retailers. My only other complaint is that they continually store the shopping carts on one side of the store and shopping baskets on the other side of the store. Their shopping carts require the use of a shopping basket too as items fall through the shopping cart when used alone. Disabled persons have a hard time traveling to each side of the store to collect a shopping basket and shopping cart. I would point this out each time and would return to the same set up the next trip.

Inu Bathhouse Luxury Dog Salon - Grooming Area

We brought our Coton for a grooming and told them please leave him long, just trim and clean him…read moreup. We figured a "luxury" dog spa with a three hour appointment would do a good and gentle job. When we picked him up his backside had been shaved almost to the skin. This area is now extremely irritated and on the verge of bleeding. The dog is rubbing and licking himself incessantly. We called and explained we were very unhappy. The groomer told us that there was nothing she could or would do, that she "had to" shave him because she said he was matted. He had just been brushed the night before and was not matted, but even if so, there was no reason to shave him to the skin and cause this level of irritation. Either take the time to de-mat (the appointment was three hours long) or inform the client that you could not. We did not authorize her to shave him like this. In the dogs 10 years of life, this has never happened once. When I asked why she would not refund the money, she said that well her regular clients know that sometimes the dog will come home with "an itchy butt." From her response, I have a feeling this is not the first time she has been confronted about this. She also suggested we call the vet and that if things got worse we might have to take him to the vet. We did call the vet and even with the Benadryl and Cortisone, he is still miserable. Here is a picture of the area. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to deal with a total unprofessional person who will not take responsibility for a terrible job. Feel free to make up your own opinion. Update 1: Second picture is third day post-grooming, the area is now getting worse and starting to scab. Unfortunately the vet is not open tomorrow to go get antibiotics. We spoke with one of our old groomers who said likely this was due to a dull or hot clipper and that in any case the groomer should not only provide a full refund but also pay for the vet visit. As described above, the groomer is taking ZERO responsibility, not refunding a single cent. Feel free to Youtube "clipper burn" to see what happens to a dog after this happens. Its not fun and the dog is miserable, aggressive, irritable, and requires constant monitoring so as to scoot on the floor to further inflame.
