God give me a negative button for this review. This place is terrible, we bought a dog from here and almost immediately after we got him home, we knew something was wrong, took him to a vet outside of the once they suggest cause we couldn't wait 3 days for him to be seen. They are purposely selling sick animals in here and if u return them because of health they still wanna keep over half the money you spent on their sick dog. There has to be a class action suit against this. Contract or not, you shouldn't be allowed to sell a sick dog and then if the person decides to return the dog for health reasons u keep half their money. After coughing up nearly 700 dollars in vet bills for tests and treatments I'm still waiting to find out what's wrong I will update post later. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They need to be shut down and sued. I will be contacting the BBB on this place and looking into legal ramifications if this dog is beyond saving. read more

They claim to be trying to give the animals ( a good home) but the prices are astronomical and they don't spay, neuter, vaccinate, or chip the dogs. They allow tons of people to hold all of the animals. ( not smart with flu season and a bunch of sick kids running around) when you ask if the dogs have papers the tell you no but claim that they are AKC registered?! They get these dogs from "breeders" aka puppy mills. I would never buy a dog from here. I actually would love to go steal them all and set them free. I visited Pet Fair on 2/19/18 & had to search for a staff member to help me. Once I did, she was very rude. Yet again, there was a puppy with yellow snot dripping from its nose. When I ask about it, I was told this is "normal", but I know better. I am saddened that I have to write this review. ALL animals deserve good homes, but this store is employing filthy, awful & inhumane puppy mills to provide them with dogs. I've gone into this store 17 times in the past 6 weeks, every time I have seen a sick dog. Kennel cough, dehydration, snotty, incoherent, unable to stand more than a few seconds, stomachs sucked in like they're emaciated. A reputable breeder wouldn't allow their dogs to be kept or sold in this manner. You can get a full blood dog from a REAL breeder for less than the $2,000 they sell them for here. These dogs are brought in in vans stacked floor to ceiling with cages - I've seen it myself. They don't have the proper shots to keep them from getting sick. The people at the store are rude & don't care about the welfare of the animals. Please contact a rescue like Operation Pets Alive, or find a REAL breeder if you're looking to spend $2,000. Me and my fiancé have been scoping this place out for a while. I have been through a lot with sick animals from shelters and even adoption agencies. Coming to this place we thought would get a good healthy puppy from a breeder; we were sadly wrong! We picked this sweet little girl below and named her rose. Not know that rose had so many health problems. It was then the lies started to come out when we took her to our vet. We found out that she had Coccidiosis (parasites)!!! If we didn't take her sooner she would have died! The vet tried to reassures that she would be okay but she was not eating, drinking, using her back legs etc. Something was really wrong with this dog. We have another dog at home that we had to keep away from her. She barley ate, nose was running (don't know if she had PARVO, kennel cough or other diseases. Kept her for 2 nights she could barely breath, no was running , coughing and something was neurologically concerning about her. Yea they will say they refunded us for the vet bill, but they sold us a SICK PUPPY!. We do not know if she got all of her shots, and they never told us about her medical problems. She was 2 months and basically dying! Took her back and talk to the manager no one apologize and no one looked me in my face. Told them she was not eating the no name brand food they gave us, and one of the managers went in the back and gave her wet food and had the nerve to show me on his phone that she was eating. THEY NEVER TOLD US WHAT SHE WAS EATING DRY OR WET! I promise I really don't understand how these type of places are still open. Selling dogs on lies, scams, and false advertisement, to families and children! This place is the worst. The dogs are overheating, lying lethargic in the cages panting. There's not enough air to the cages. I saw a husky today that looked extremely unwell. I pointed it out to a member of staff and at least she went to check on him. All these poor animals come from puppy mills. This is no life. And what happens to them overnight? Just bought a hedgehog from here. Kinda wish we'd gotten him elsewhere, but we ended up falling in love with a particular one while "window shopping" and so we decided to go back in and buy him the next day. Most of the staff were pretty friendly and helpful and answered all our questions well enough. But if you're gonna buy a hedgehog, I suggest you get one from a breeder (for probably about the same price or cheaper) As soon as we got our new hedgie home and he calmed down he started itching like crazy and hasn't stopped yet. I suspect that the store has a mite problem, and I've seen a few other reviews saying the same thing. Taking him in to the vet soon, but I really wish they treated their animals for common problems like this so that new owners didn't have to pay even more than they already do on the pet and all their necessities. I know how easy it is to fall in love with a particular animal while at a pet store, but if you wanna avoid a bunch of vet bills right after getting a new pet; don't go here. I came in looking to add another member to my family. I already have a 10 year golden retriever I adopted at 6 weeks and she's my everything. But I know I have more love to give. I was playing with 3 adorable puppies and one really grew a liking to me. Whether it was bc I had chewable fingers or because he just really was taking a liking to me idk. I went here this weekend to check it out and asked to hold one of the frenchies, I checked to make sure his ears were clean and that nothing was physically wrong with him, however; he had really bad ear mites. Also there were so many kids and there wasn't even room to walk through the place. I felt so bad for the puppies they seemed really stressed with the amount of people and noisiness. Update: I went back a few more times and literally every dog had ear mites and some were sleeping in their own feces. Yeah, just don't do it. I was super irresponsible and got a dog from Pet Fair 2.5 years ago. I did zero research. My wife talked me into it and I relented. It was a teacup Yorkie for my wife. (Also, don't get a teacup dog. You can't responsibly breed a 4 lb dog. It just can't be done. Spend 3 minutes on google and there are a million articles on how and why this is a bad idea.) He is a great little dog. A great little dog that is being euthanized in about 2 hours b/c his kidneys never developed. Needless to say, it's been bad times at our house for the last couple days. I'm not saying that a health problems don't arise from even the most well-bred animals. I'm telling you the odds are much greater that you run into issues if you don't find a responsible breeder (which is a whole different story). It's not fair to the dog. It's not fair to the kids. If you don't read any reviews please read this one. The staff here is beyond nice and extremely helpful. I just bought a Pomeranian and picked her up on Tuesday (3/8/16). I had originally came in the Friday before and they had just received her from the breeder and told me I couldn't see her. Saturday I came back to play with her and she was extremely playful and looked healthy, I put down a deposit and they said I couldn't pick her up until Tuesday. Tuesday came I went and picked her up and brought her home she wasn't as active as she was on Saturday and I just thought maybe it was because she's new to our home and figuring everything out. The next day she was still very lethargic, not as much energy as a puppy should have. Friday I took her to my vet she was sleeping all day and would not eat or drink and continuously vomiting (parvo symptoms). My vet was epically concerned for her well being as she wouldn't open her eyes or even stand up. I took her to the Spring VCA (their vet) to have them give me medicine and another exam. She failed a parvo exam (which would be likely to happen seeing she hasn't had any diarrhea). They still had no answer to what exactly was wrong with her. It is now Sunday and my puppy has made no progress. I've tried force feeding her pedialyte from a bottle to make sure she stays hydrated because she's still not eating, and she throws up the medicine we give her. The living conditions inside of the store aren't the best. And I only hope that other puppies don't get as sick as she is, but we know that will probably happen anyways. I would hate for other new puppy owners to have to go through what I am. It's extremely depressing to look at my puppy in this condition. I am taking all routes and options to get her healthy and I hope that she will be alright. And I'm not saying don't buy here, these puppies need happy homes too. But just be prepared, I honestly was not expecting this. I've had three other dogs (from breeders, not this store) and I've never had a problem with any of them. If you don't read any other reviews, read this one just on the quality of how they treat their animals (especially one of the more commonly purchased pets from there: birds). THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE TO ANIMALS! A lot of people mention the dogs, but oh my god the BIRDS. They cohabitate finches, budgies, and cockatiels all in the same enclosure, often putting them (the budgies and cockatiels) out in the "touch tanks" for display! I went there the other day and was incredibly saddened to see a cockatiel that had been beaten up by the other birds with feathers missing from it's head and body from stress plucking, and a bunch of teens harassing the poor cockatiel trying to get it to step up and touching it and then getting pissed when it bit them. OF COURSE! YOU'RE HARASSING THE POOR BABY! The poor bird was SHIVERING in the "touch tank" with fear! How do you not notice something like that!???? Not to mention they know NOTHING about avian nutrition, leaving out nothing but SEED for the birds. Seed only makes up part of a bird's diet, and should be supplemented with vegetables and fruit, with a PELLETED diet as the main part! How do they not know this? Seed makes birds obese, it's like feeding them nothing but candy! Nobody should ever buy an animal from this store!!!!!! Stressed out animals and people who don't know jack shit about animals, especially avians!!! EDIT 4/29/16: I went back a few days ago and saw that they had separated the hookbills from the finches, but came back two days later and they were cohabitating them again in the big outside display! As other reviews have stated, most pups and kittens are sick, at an unhealthy weight, and very inbred. The reptiles are in even worse conditions that the cats and dogs. With repliles, if the humidity level or lighting isn't correct, certain reptiles will die. (Think of it like taking a water animal out of the water and expecting it to be completely healthy on land, it just won't happen.) Animals that should never be house together (for safety reasons) are all just thrown in a too small tank. Most have no source of water. When I tried to bring this to staff's attention I was brushed off and ignored. How has this place not been shut down yet?! read more

I told an employee that a little hamster had passed away, and she scooped it up and dumped it in a trash can out in the open... in front of children.. in front of families.. in front of people trying to pick out a family pet... When I alerted someone that a puppy was having a seizure, the employees downplay the situation or completely ignore it... As a got older, I began to realize that all of the puppies and kittens in these types of places are from PUPPY MILLS. These are not shelter babies, these are not rescue pups and kitties... These are dogs over bred for money, crammed in small cages, only to be shipped to this hell hole and crammed into even more tiny cages with far too many other dogs... Recently I was hearing that a boxer was still being sold here after having a leg broken.. Many people asked employees what happened, and I was told (as well as others) that the dog was 'dropped' by a child... WHY wasn't someone watching the child while they were playing with the puppy? WHY were they allowed to stand/walk around with the dog? (This must be one huge child to be able to drop a rather large puppy and break their leg...) Someone else ended up calling the manager, and was told that the dog was actually STEPPED ON.. Not dropped. The person repeatedly asked if they were positive that's what happened, and they continued to tell them "yes" they were sure.... If you're going to manage a horrible place like this.. at least KNOW what is happening to these poor animals when employees/managers are not properly paying attention and monitoring people around the dogs and cats! There was also a black pig laying limp on her side, breathing very very heavily.. I sent a video to someone who works with live stock, and they confirmed this was NOT normal.. An employee tried to tell me that the pig had been 'playing with puppies' so she was 'just tired'..... The pig was still unresponsive, and the employee showed 0 concern.. I was told that a 'vet' looks at these animals to ensure they're healthy enough to be sent to their forever home... Obviously you're in need of a different vet, or a vet with an actual license and some common sense. This place is absolutely horrible. Not only selling puppy mill dogs, but trying to sell people sick animals for hundreds of dollars that could potentially KILL their other house hold pets if what the animal in the pet store has is contagious (parvo, coccidia, URI, etc.) Shopping malls need to stop allowing these kinds of places to sell animals... We just bought out beloved Frenchie there just last Saturday, claiming she is lilac/cho. No possible why she can be... Got her tested she came back blue Frenchie, which is fine, I over looked that.. however what I can't over look is you can ONLY go to their chosen vet to be covered, I now know why... With a little hand shake, money, and a wink the vet will say you sick puppy is healthy...We went Wednesday for a check up, the vet Dr. Kasper said she was healthy and good to go, the next day she is shitting blood with runny diarrhea... Took her to our primary vet took them 5 seconds to see she had Giardia!!!! And no we don't live near a river or pond, and we didn't go to any State Park, so don't even start with that...also to learn the shots they give them Frontal, Albion, Metronidazole, and Panacur were really all unnecessary, the breeders only give them those shots to make your puppy look healthy when you purchase them.. once you purchase your stuck with the puppy, I am paying out the ass to get my sick puppy healthy my choice, there is not possible way I could give her back to her killers... read more

A lot of people criticize anyone who doesn't adopt a shelter dog, but the fact is I prefer purebred registered dogs and don't feel guilty about that. I've never abondanded any of my animals and take good care of them for life. Of course they come from "puppy mills" they're breeding facilities, many of which strive to create healthy quality animals. It's a business it makes the world go round. Some customers believe that they're saving these pets from this horrible place when they buy them. But the thought is not honestly thought out properly. When customers buy these pets, it creates a demand that the store then supplies, and business prospers. The disturbing owners make more money and customers are conned into buying a maladjusted pet. More sweet innocent animals are subjected to this horrible treatment and the cycle repeats. Please do not buy from this establishment. Please rescue or find a genuine breeder that allows their puppies to run and play. The one dog we looked at was shaking when anyone pet him. Absolutely terrified of humans. These types of dogs are deprived genuine connections to people and become defensive. When constantly harassed by dogs in a 2x1 foot fish tank, they must learn how to defend themselves at a young age. This may lead to aggression towards other dogs in the future. It is so important to socialize a dog when they are puppies so they can have positive relationships with other animals and humans, not petrify the animal towards all living things. This place treats animals in the most inhumane way. Puppies are literally stacked inside the glass display windows, eating from each other's filth and ready for sale for any exorbitant amount this place plans to ask for. We bought our English bulldog puppy on Dec 24th, by Dec 26th the dog was rushed with 102 deg fever, diarrhea and vomit to the emergency clinic. The vets diagnosed a severe case of parvovirus infection and treated her with plasma and antibiotics; so far, she appears to have improved but not out of the woods yet. Pet Fair makes you sign paperwork that secures them from almost all liability after the very pricey "adoption" concludes. Any disease that a puppy may develop afterward and is considered pre-existing needs to be treated by their partners VCA otherwise the therapy does not qualify for reimbursement. Personnel avoid answering any question related to health and hygiene of the pet and direct you to a miserable dog handbook that sits around the place if you are looking for details. Their inexperienced salespeople are more keen on pushing the sale of these poor babies together with overpriced merchandise. We keep wondering what happens to animals in this place that are unfortunate to show symptoms of severe sickness before they are sold to unaware buyers like ourselves.... My daughter visited this pet store this past weekend and she texted me almost in tears. She was so upset at the way the animals were crammed in their dirty enclosures together and they looked unhealthy and sad. Puppy mill puppies are not the way to go. The supply is to much for a demand that is not there. There are too many dogs in shelters that need to be adopted to loving homes. The price for these puppies are so outrageous that they have a payment plan! They don't have bowls for the puppies to drink water but bottles like for small animals. This is not natural for the puppies. Another thing is they have these adorable rabbits. I called this pet store and asked what kind of information do they offer the people that are buying these rabbits. They don't offer any. I have a house trained rabbit and i am here to tell you they are high maintenance. I had to educate myself in order to know i was giving the best care for her. There is diet, they need certain veggies and pellets as well as hay on a daily bases for their digestive system, their teeth need to be filed down by a vet every 4 to 6 weeks, if not the teeth can grow back into the gums which very painful for the rabbit. This would also cause them not to eat which would be harmful to their health. Rabbits need to be able to exercise so they need a small pen to run around or they can be house trained. If they don't get the chance to do this they can develop small blisters on their hind feet. I don't recommend cages. Pens are better and are easy to set up. Rabbit can use a litter box with paper pellets only. The clay litter is harmful to them. Most rabbits don't like to be picked up. You have to handle them with care if you do. They could kick their hind legs a certain way and break their backs. Their skin is very thin so be careful how bush them. They are considered exotic so you need a special vet. And PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT RELEASE THEM INTO THE WILD! They are domestic not wild rabbits. They will surely die if you do. There are shelters for rabbits if you can't take care of them. Rabbits are social creatures and are loving and fun. They also like quiet. You have to know what it takes to care for them. Please educate yourself before buying one. There are plenty of You Tube channels that will give you a lot of info as well as Google and your vet. Thank you. read more

This pet store is horrible! My daughter and her boyfriend purchased a kitten there and were told it needed another round of vaccinations and they would cover the vet office visit cost. This cost was still $107 even with the office visit covered by Pet Fair and they were informed that the kitten still had to return for a third set of vaccinations. At that point the office visit will not even be covered. The kitten is also not neutered which will be another costly fee. Sadly as I told them, a shelter will provide a kitten with all of it's vaccinations and neutering for free or at an extremely low cost. But the worst issue we have with this pet store is that they had the kitten on Metronidazole and Albon for 17 days. When I asked why, I was told it was a preventative. Those drugs are used to treat coccidia and giardia so I find it strange the kitten spent 17 days on such strong antibiotics that could potentially ruin it's immune system. When I asked about that, I was told that the veterinarian recommended it. However, when I contacted the veterinarian in Huntsville, they denied that they gave the kitten these medications and claimed the pet shop must have done it. I have been calling for over a week trying to speak to the manager and have still not spoken to one. I asked for the owner's name and was told I couldn't have that information. I have since read horrible things about Pet Fair including an article in the Houston Chronicle whereby someone is hoping to shut them down because of the poor health of the animals. I was vacationing in the Woodlands and my 10 year old and I saw protesters protesting pet fair while we were on our way to the mall. We we're perplexed what this meant. We are animal lovers and owners of two rescue dogs, we entered the mall and to our horror we realized this was a puppy mill masking as a pet store. This place has many dogs in small glass cases that are very archaic. They are obviously underfed and the workers have no idea what they are doing. Kids are yanking puppies and parents don't even care. It is absolutely heartbreaking that these sort of places still exist. Adopt don't shop!!! DO NOT support these places. There are lots of animals in shelters waiting to be rescued! Sign the petition on change.org to close this place down. We all want the best for these pets. read more

We had a great experience at this pet store. Julie helped us and made the process of getting our new pup easy and exciting. We're going to come home with our new shiba next week. I would've given 5 stars, but it is quite pricey for the shiba. Nonetheless, excited to add a new little one to our family! read more

I had a good experience at Petfair. I do agree that the customer service isn't that great, but my puppy is healthy and was well taken care of. I always love going in to see the puppies and other animals. I think they have a good selection, and they take good care of them. My sales lady, Madison was awesome. Stop going here!! Stop giving this place foot traction and stop giving them your service!! One visit in this place and it's clear these pets are not properly cared for. They are stuck in fish tanks with fluorescent lights and they sleep all day! How is this place even legal? Allowing random people to hold puppies in crowded areas. It needs to be closed. The prices are way to high and cannot be justified when there are so many pets in animal shelters waiting to be adopted read more
