We credit her KSR dog walker, Stefania, with bringing her out of her shell and teaching her to love walks. Stefania got Minnie to enjoy the outdoors and walks when we hadn't been able to. Stefania is amazing, a true dog--whisperer--and our pups love her dearly. We get a report after every walk, with pictures. I have an odd schedule so don't need walks every day and I was worried that would be a problem, but it hasn't been at all. Scheduling is very easy with KSR's website, and I can log in at any time and check it. Communicating with KSR is also extremely easy on their website -- I can message my dog walker or the KSR office. Payment is automatic every two weeks or so. Very convenient. We have also had KSR do petting sitting for us in our home, and that worked out great. This really is the perfect pet care company. They were great except they would not board longer than overnight. When I moved to Virginia, I found the Great Falls Boarding Kennels. They were wonderful and my dog did not mind going there. The first time I checked in they asked if my dog was up-to-date on his shots? They arranged for the vet who visits there to give my dog his shots. They also washed and poodle clipped him. Woofie's had rave reviews, so we decided to take a chance and we haven't looked back. It is incredibly convenient to have Woofie's come to our house. No more waiting around in shopping centers or in the car between 1-3 hours wondering if his grooming is complete. No more anxious thoughts about whether he is doing well with his grooming. We are always pleased with our dog's haircuts too. Our favorite groomer is Christina, but frankly all the groomers we've interacted with are fantastic. Aside from pet grooming, Woofie's of McLean also offers dog walking and pet sitting. A few months ago, we had an urgent need to go out of town and our usual pet sitters were not available. I reached out to Woofie's to inquire about their petsitting services, and Ana recommended their Bed & Biscuit Overnight Care. Their Bed & Biscuit program is where your pet stays in a professional pet sitter's home vetted by Woofie's. This was ideal for us because we weren't comfortable having someone stay in our house. Ana came to sit down with me and go over our dog's daily schedule and needs. She noted that we preferred a sitter who didn't have other dogs (our dog likes being the "only child"), and she found the perfect pet sitter that day. We were over the moon with the sitter she recommended, and he did an amazing job keeping us apprised of our dog's daily activities and sent us photos over text in addition to updating the daily journals on Woofie's website. Kelly leaves a little note every day with the time she arrived and what they did during her 15 minute visit. She is also very understanding and accommodating when I need him walked longer (30 minutes) or at a different time of day. In order to not be charged for a cancelled visit, you need to provide at least 24 hours notice, which is sometimes impossible because, hey, life happens. I understand they have a schedule to work around, but I wish there were 1 or 2 "freebies" for cancelling with less than 24 hours notice (or at least only charge half for 12 hours notice). That being said, I know my dog is in great hands while I am at work, which is extremely comforting. I would recommend Wagabout to anyone who is looking for a dog walker in Bethesda or surrounding areas!
