I never in a hundred years thought I would pay a service to pick up our dog's poop! However, I cannot tell you how much we have come to rely on this service and how much easier it makes our life. I will totally admit that I hire someone to pick up my dog's poop. First of all, time is money, and my time is worth more than poop. Secondly, my dog has defied all known physics on Earth - he can turn 1 lb of food in to approximately 15 tons of poop. If that wasn't fun enough, he is apparently part Easter Bunny, as he thinks it's terribly fun to find new, exciting and inventive places in my yard to hide his poop. Enter Pet Butler. My poop angels. They scoop everything up, regardless of where the dog has hidden it. In the rocks, next to trees. If Dr. Suess wrote about poop instead of Green Eggs and Ham, my dog would have pooped on the book. Thankfully, he only does it outside...which is why we keep the books in the house. But I digress....Each time Pet Butler comes out, I come home to a wonderful, poop free yard. For 15 minutes. Then the dog ruins it by manging to get one poop in 18 places. But I can relax knowing Pet Butler will soon arrive like knights, not with armor, but plastic gloves, and scoopers instead of swords. For $35 bucks a month, this service is worth every penny. When I lost my credit cards they were totally cool when the billing failed, no harassment, just a nice email, and when I explained that I lost my wallet, it was, when you get the new card update us, no threats or bad attitude. We have used Pet Butler for nearly a year now to clean our dog run and I've got to say the service is impeccable. I will readily admit we don't clean our own dog's poop. Having someone else come without fail to do that for us is well worth the price. And frankly they do a much better job of it than we ever did. I would highly recommend outsourcing this not-so-fun chore and, if you do, would also highly recommend Pet Butler. We used to be with Poopy Do (another company) and can without question say that Pet Butler does a much better job keeping its commitment to schedule. Well... I choose this company because of the reviews. But I'm very disapointed. Service was planned for tuesday, technician was sick, that happens, no big deal, but I had to call to be informed. The day after I call the customer service to know what was the plan... priority was given to the wednesday and the technician, would do the tuesday if he has time enough. Obviously he didn't. It is now thursday and I called again and asked the technician to come before 3pm because our gardener will be here just after. Once again no flexibility in their schedule. I just cancelled my account and ask for a refund for the service I will never have. read more

Leland, the technician that services our home couldn't be nicer and really cares about our fur babies. These guys have done absolutely everything they can to help me with my awful situation. I have a neighbor who feeds more than 20 cats and takes ZERO responsibility for the waste that food produces. My front yard area was FILLED with cat waste and stinks to high heaven from cat urine. They came out and removed three buckets worth of cat waste and sprayed to try to eliminate some of the smell. But they went way beyond that with many other suggestions on what I can do to try to keep the cats out, plus one employee even quoted a Maricopa County Environmental Health law to me regarding animal waste, which I promptly sent to my HOA (not that my HOA cares, because its done next to nothing about this problem). The local owner may be incredibly great to work with but I will never know that. When I called to get set up service after buying the yelp deal over the weekend, I dealt with some sort of service. They were not pleasant to deal with from the start. It sounded like I interrupted them doing something else and they were not prepared to help me at all. Once she started asking questions she wouldn't let me finish talking before she asked the next one. Also, DO NOT buy the yelp deal. The person answering the phone didn't know anything about it. They asked me to email it to them which I did. They did get back quickly to let me know that I couldn't use it with their new customer program (huge discount which was a great deal for being a new customer). This would have been fine except the yelp deal you can ONLY use if you're a new customer (see the issue here)? Luckily I got a refund from yelp since their deal states no restrictions. Again, the local owner may be great but when you have answering service/HQ that is not, it didn't instill any type of confidence from me. I went with another locally owned service and had a great experience start to finish. read more

As a customer for over a year, I can say I'm honestly thrilled with the service provided! I have service three days a week because I have a lot of dogs, and really my only (minor) concern is that the service is only roughly scheduled as to the time of day. I want to first start by saying we have been using this company for between two and three years. We've had four issues with this company which led us to make a decision to use somebody else. In my opinion they had one good employee and he ended up quitting so he could get a better job no-fault to him. We had one incident where the owner came to clean our yard because the original employee couldn't make it. The owner said he cleaned the entire yard but there was still poop everywhere in the cameras we have only showed him cleaning a small portion of the yard. He insisted he did but the cameras don't lie. You do the math. The latest incident was they hired a gentleman who looked like he was fresh out of jail. He went into the backyard to clean and raised his poop scoop in a threatening manner which made the dog angry. I complained and received a callback stating if I could just give him one more chance that would be great. We did that and the dog still had issues with him. They sent another guy out one time and I get an email saying that our dog is vicious. He is not a vicious dog all he wants to do is play with his ball and jump in the pool. We've never had problems with him. We quit this company and went to another company for six dollars more a month and on the days that we want it picked up. I just received a picture of my dog kissing and playing with the person that's doing the work. This tells me that they have an employee problem and don't want to deal with things that need to be dealt with. I will never recommend this company to anybody. read more

Pet Butler was called literally in a last ditch effort to make our party a great one. With three dogs ranging in Size to a Great Dane, Mastiff and down to a Dane Mix we were in big crap! The one thing we forgot was to pick up the yard as we did every 2nd or 3rd day. But, we didn't and the party was that night on a Saturday. We changed dog food which made the crap higher. Knowing I was crap up to my heels, I called to find some help. We got it, last minute on a Saturday and on top of that, she gave me a good price and for a few more dollars I said, "Why not I will try it for a month." I thought crap, why not! What's that saying you go in smelling like crap and you come out smelling like roses. That's was me! They are so nice, courteous and they get the job done quick. Constant on the day and very friendly. Even though we told them one day we picked up the crap already and totally forgot they were coming. They credited our account and came back the next week. Must be family owned to be this friendly and care about their image. Good people, really. I haven't seen service like this. People who care about their company and their people like this franchise does. It's almost like... how your grandparents would talk about how well a company treated you back in the day. UPDATE: 6/4/2014 - This place is horrible. They started super, then totally fell off. I am a busy mom of two and didn't monitor as closely as I should have as far as their timing with visits. I paid for bi-weekly service. It was moving to every two weeks and I would forget to call them to find out what was going on with my busy days. I finally added up how many times this was happening and they totally owe me at least 1 month refund. I called and left them a message about the missed service, and wanting to stop the service. They NEVER called back, never refunded my money AND took out yet another payment for the service they are not performing. ORIGINAL POST: Sandy at Pet Butler is A-MAZE-ING! I submitted a request late one evening and she called me FIRST thing the next morning. We discussed services and then she told me about the deal that was online with Yelp for a discount. I signed up and we arranged my first service. The service date was less than a week from the time I purchased. They did a fantastic job cleaning up the yard and were are very customer service oriented. The value is super! You HAVE to give them a try. You too will be pleased. We had our first poop scoop service two weeks ago and Brent did an excellent job. We could not be happier with our sparkling clean backyard! We have also added the cat box swap service. They drop off 2 cat boxes to start, then whenever they are there to service our yard, I leave a dirty one out which they take and leave me a clean one. I never have to scrub the litter box again! I have been a client of Pet Butlers for over three years and I can tell you they are the most reliable dog friendly service imaginable....Sandy and her team are absolutely fabulous...
