It is a shame that I have to write this review, as my husband and I both liked dealing with Sutton…read moreHill Services and their owners, Mark and Joel, for the past two seasons. Their product worked for us, and they always did an amazing job...that is until they made a mistake, had an accidental spill of their product, and refuse to take responsibility. Back in mid-May they came to my home and did their first tick and mosquito spray of the season. While they were at my home, some of the product they use to spray our yard spilled in our driveway and left a pretty big stain that still smells, 7 weeks later. The day after this happened, I reached out to Mark and he told me that the rain should wash it away or I could hose it down. He never once came back to look at it until the next treatment 3 or 4 weeks later. When he came back in mid-June, we showed him the spot and asked how we could get it up, and he very matter of fact said. "That spot was not made from us," even though the stain was not there when they arrived back in May, but was there when they left. According to Mark, it was a delivery truck who may have spilled oil. We had no deliveries that day, except the delivery of their product. The spilled "organic" product is now starting to eat away at my driveway, creating a hole.
Secondly, to try and prove his point that it could not have been their product, Mark decided to purposefully put yet another stain on our driveway, a circle maybe the size of a baseball. He said the rain would wash it away. Almost four week later and after a ton of rain, that stain has also not gone away. He NEVER asked for permission to put this product on our driveway, and did so on purpose to prove his point. All he did was prove himself wrong, that his product does not dissolve like the thinks it should.
So here we are with a huge stain that still smells on occasion, and a smaller stain too. Our driveway is starting to disintegrate in the area is the spill, so My husband has tried to get the bigger stain out scrubbing at it with soap and water, and although it has lightened some, it has not gone away! On a very hot day you can still smell the product they use on our yard. I have several witnesses who were in my house and can attest to the fact they were the ONLY ones in my driveway on this particular day, and not to mention, the smell is pretty hard to ignore.
The most upsetting thing about this is we are so disappointed that they will not take ownership or responsibility for their mistake. It's a shame because they seemed like really nice guys. We will no longer be using them or recommending them to anyone, as they are not honest, and we have lost all respect for them.
