They came in a timely fashion and took care of it for a very reasonable price. But here's the thing: a few days later the wasps had relocated to a nearby bush, and I was getting stung again (doing yard work). I called Colonial, and guess what? As spring came by in our new house, we saw a few carpenter ants and wanted to address it before this turned into a bigger problem; we didn't want an army of them eating at the house! We shopped around, and in our first quote, they insisted the only option was a full package, with all the bells and whistles, and the price was astronomical, both the initial service fee and the *monthly* maintenance fee! When I called Colonial pest Control, it was not only reasonable, but appropriately measured. The technician who came out, Derrick, knew exactly what to look for, listened to our specific problems, asked appropriate questions, and recommended a much more targeted solution for what we specifically were dealing with. He sprayed the outside and put some liquid bait inside, and said in a few weeks, we shouldn't see any more ants. And he was right! Plus, the initial service fee was *half* of our other quote, and our maintenance is not only cheaper, but billed biannually, not monthly! Also, they send out a technician to check the Sentricon Termite units when the ground is frozen? Not impressed with their management, but the technicians have been great when I have met them. I was so happy with the services I got this week around a quote and inspection for what I thought were termites. Turns out, they weren't and the tech identified that there had been carpenter aunts at work based on the damage in the wood and description I gave him. I live in Millbury and had a roof rat (yes, a roof rat!) storing food under my porch. Being an animal lover, I did not want poison around my house (I have rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.) nor did I want the rat killed. The service people are prompt, easy to work with, no sales pressure, and I have not seen any mouse activity since 30 days after our first mouse bait treatment. Today was our first ant treatment so cannot review that service yet, but we expect it will work just fine. In the process of renovating a barn we had a bat issue which, even after replacing the roof, the bats remained. I called Colonial who set up an appt and followed up with two reminders. When Justin L. showed up to inspect, the bats had disappeared (probably due to further renovation work). I apologized for dragging him out and he couldn't have been more gracious and told me not to worry. He spent a little time with me and gave me some good advice. Don't expect any customer service...We were a customer of Colonial for close to 20 years. We had new brick walk installed and after a visit from Colonial there was chemical etching that happened all over the new walk. Instead of offering to comp us a visit or find some sort of middle ground, he denied that it could be them and refused to do anything. To preface this story, my apartment has had mice or rats (we don't know which) for a few weeks now. We tried dealing with it ourselves with traps but it wasn't successful. We reached out to our landlord to hire an exterminator, which he did, but we had to wait over a week for an available appointment. Within that week, we did discover a mouse that had gotten stuck in a box and died but there were still one or more others still alive in the building. Today was finally the day of our appointment, between 4:30-6, which my roommate was home for. Long story short, they were at our apartment building (3 floors, we are the third floor) for under 30 minutes and our apartment did not even get treated. According to our landlord, they claim to have been there for an hour, treated outside, the basement, and the first floor and then left because "no one on the second or third floor answered the door". When in reality, when they rang our doorbell, my roommate went straight downstairs and no one was around, waited a few minutes but then went back upstairs only to find out that they left shortly after. After my landlord contacted them after being told that they had left, they told him that he would need to make another appointment in order to get the second and third floors treated (keep in mind we, in the third floor apartment, are the ones that requested an exterminator, so wouldn't you expect they would start there??????). And the next available appointment? June 19. Two weeks from today. I'm just so incredibly frustrated and annoyed over this situation. Especially considering the fact that mice carry so many diseases and I'm concerned for me, my roommate, and my pet bunny's health. So moral of the story, I'm fucking mad and Colonial Pest Control in Worcester fucking sucks. 0/10 do not recommend read more

Colonial sent a tech out to remove some flying insects. The tech told me that they billed me for the wrong service (the actual service was 25% less) but he refused to adjust the bill. The tech told us that what you pay depends on who you talk to at Colonial. Be careful of any business who charges you based on their moods. read more
