Not impressed. Food was stale, service was severely lacking, no ambiance to speak about.

I fell in love with this place years and years ago when I was in town for a few weeks. My favorite is the fish bowl-- the fish has a ton of flavor. It seemed to go a little downhill last year during COVID but when I ate there today it was as delicious as ever. I do miss when they had the salsa in the cooler and you could just take it to your table. Love the salsa. Look forward to visiting every summer. read more

Pescado's is located unassumingly in a strip mall across from Brevard College, but they are putting out some great food. It's not cheap Mexican food- two small quesadillas, two sodas and a chips and dip cost us just over $30. They don't have a huge menu, but they are really good at the things they make. As previously mentioned we both had quesadillas. 1 chicken, 1 ground beef. They were really good! I know people think it is hard to mess up a quesadilla, but for people who think that, you have never had a bad one, so consider yourself lucky. The cheese dip was SO THICK with cheese, it was thicker than the one I make at home, so you are definitely getting bang for your buck on that item. Staff was efficient and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor dining, though remember they are in a strip mall so ambiance outside isn't what you are coming for. We saw some of the large burritos being made, and they would feed a hungry college boy for two meals, I swear. Pescado's also participates in the Brevard Blue Zone project, so there are menu items clearly posted that meet those guidelines. read more

I found this in my Tempeh taco with rice, corn, cilantro, spinach, tomatoe, onion. It was very hard and appears to be some sort of nut??? Might want to find out how that got in the food so no one else finds one of these little surprises. Other than this weird find, the taco was good. .....I emailed the above along with a picture. It's cafeteria-line style; you pick what you want & pay at the end of the line. Service was good, but the food didn't taste as fresh as I had anticipated. The $8 taco combo comes with a side of tortilla chips, queso & a drink. Plenty of free parking in the lot. Tip: ask for fresh jalapeños and add it to the queso! read more

Went to Pescados on a friend's recommendation that they have "the best quesadilla." Certainly nothing fancy about the inside but I was pleased to see so many fresh veggies being cut on the back table. I got the chicken quesadilla with the citrus chicken and a side of guac. The quesadilla itself was good but I think I would have preferred the chipotle chicken. The citrus chicken had a taste that was a big too sweet for me. Nonetheless, the tortilla was crispy and the cheese melty. The two signs of a high quality quesadilla. The guac was really really good too. Salty with good flavor and a nice consistency. Perfect with their chips. The salsa available were hit and miss. The "medium" wasn't hot at all but the "hot" was plenty hot. The medium did have good flavor though. I enjoyed the corn and black bean salsa the most. It's always nice to have a salsa bar and lots of choices. Sat outside on one of the long wooden tables and was able to watch the coming and going from Brevard College. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely go back and explore some of the other menu items. read more

Never have I been disappointed with Pescado's but today was different. I could not even eat my taco salad and the water even tasted bad. When I told them that I could not eat the food they had nothing to say. I bought a lunch that tasted like cardboard and they did not care. My husband ordered a burrito for his birthday and it had no taste. Seems they have new owners who aren't interested in customer service just charging extra for everything!!! A quick convenient choice to indulge in burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas and taco salads. Choose the mode of how you want to eat your carne or beans and they will build it right in front of you as you customize your creation. The food is fresh and often good, sometimes the chicken is a little dried out but generally a satisfying meal. Prices a bit high but maybe because Brevard is so removed from it all. Service could use improvement. Often no smiles or welcome just straight faces. Hopefully there will be a shift someday with a more welcoming and thankful spirit. Found this in a small strip mall across from. Bervard College. Some outside seating and inside too. Ordered a large burrito with beef pinto cheese lettuce and it was good! It's like Moe's but more local feel and taste. I couldn't get close enough to the counter to see the ingredients but they were listed on the board. Fair price. read more

I was able to easily order a custom dish. I had A steak burrito bowl with steamed veggies and all the fixins hold the rice. It was delicious. The salsa bar had a nice range of salsas. It was quick, priced fairly, and the service was friendly. I will be going back. read more

Being a well travelled burrito connoisseur, I have to say that a 3 star rating is pretty good from me.. 1) The food is obviously fresh.. That's something you can't find in a lot of places.. They were out of steak, so I got the chicken.. Pretty bland, but some may see that as not over seasoned.. I don't understand the brown rice.. Also no added flavor there.. I loaded up with pretty much everything on the veggie side, with the exception of fresh jalapeños.. I opted for the pickled jalapeños instead.. That brought the flavor profile up considerably, but I would have liked it to be a bit spicier without having to add a bunch of sauce.. But, then again, in a mountain town in Brevard, I can understand why they keep things pretty mild.. 2) The service was great.. Friendly staff were very helpful and knowledgable about the product.. I wouldn't have minded if they had been more engaging.. We weren't there during a peak time, so they weren't too busy, but not much outside of asking what I want on my burrito.. 3) The atmosphere was pretty cool.. I liked the crazy colors everywhere, and having an open kitchen makes for an interesting environment.. Couldn't really comment on the music, as there either was none, or it was so low that it didn't even qualify as background music.. If it's too loud, you're too old right? All in all, I'll definitely return.. If for no other reason than I'm curious as to how their steak tastes.. I wouldn't make this a weekly spot just yet.. read more

This place was horrible. I ordered a veggie burrito and the man behind the counter threw the raw veggies on the grill for maybe 30 seconds and they weren't cooked at all. Then he gives me maybe 1/4 a scoop of beans, says there's no rice left and basically that's the whole burrito. Server was so rude and looked like he hated being there. Yum yum in my tum tum! 3 wrap types, refried and black beans, a multitude of proteins (including mixed grilled veggies for those who are sick of the lone tofu veggie protein option of most places!), and an excellent assortment of goodies/toppings. I was impressed by their spicy red cabbage slaw and they also had a corn salsa option and a few other unique offerings. The table salsas were legit too: super delicious and flavorful. Burritos are quite large and come with chips, $6.50-$8.50 depending on your "protein." And they have several burrito tortilla options: regular (white), wheat, spinach, cheddar-jalapeño. I ordered a steak burrito based on previous Yelp reviews, but would *not* get that again- I found the steak a bit gristly and picked several pieces out :( I was enviously eyeing my friend's vegetarian burrito. I really liked the pineapple-jalapeño salsa! Just a little heat, super delish. The fish (offered in burritos, quesadillas & tacos) is blackened tilapia. Keeps the price low, but I sure wish they offered local mountain trout when available... Several fresh mild & hot sauces also available from the cooler to help yourself. read more

Stay away, this place is no bueno! The staff was rude from the Hispanic guy behind the counter to girl who rang us out. The guy started making me the wrong thing and when I corrected him he started yelling at me claiming that's what I ordered. Then made my burrito correctly and threw it in a basket. After all that, it wasn't even that good anyways. On a brighter note, my gf said her veggie burrito was good and really liked the mango/pineapple salsa. Other than that I Taco Bell has better food, better prices, and much friendlier staff. So next time someone asks you to go to Pescado's place, just say no gracias. read more

I think the fish was Tilapia, which is a bummer. We thought it was Mahi. Talapia tastes like dirt. All restaurants that serve Tilapia should have a posted disclaimer letting people know they are about to order Tilapia. This place is okay. The prices are compared to places in Asheville like Moes or Neo. I had the steak burrito. The meat was more f a boiled roast cut than a grilled steak. I don't recommend the steak. The chips were stale and the salsa was bland. You'd be better off getting your burrito fix in Brevard by leaving the area or hitting one of the many Mexican restaurants. The workers weren't rude but weren't friendly. I paid $12 for a burrito, chips, and a drink. There are a lot of places in town that are really good and this is not one of them. Sorry, but not great. After doing a nice bike ride, I was looking for a burrito and found this place nearby. The place was clean and the server was great, but the steak burrito was just bland. My wife had chicken tacos and thought the same thing - bland. I don't think the meat was seasoned well, and the other stuff added to the burrito didn't add much. I have been going to Pescados for years. I have seen the establishment change management and ownership countless times. Each time the new owner brings something new to the table. Recently under new ownership, Pescados has been thriving! They now offer DELIVERY! Who doesn't want a scrumptious burrito delivered to their door?! I have tried just about everything at this restaurant and I have a few of my favorites. Before I became vegetarian, I always ordered either a steak quesadilla or burrito. You can never go wrong with their streak. And of course, their fish is great. I recommend trying the fish tacos or a fish burrito if you're feeling up to it. Also, I love their guacamole and queso. Every burrito joint has their twist on guac and queso, but Pescados always knocks my socks off. DELICIOUS! Sometimes they offer super creative and tasty specials so I definitely recommend checking those out before looking at the main menu. Overall, you can never go wrong with a trip to Pescados. You can get a burrito packed with goodness, warmed tortilla chips, guac and salsa, and a drink all for around $10; and that is a great price!! Did I say they offer Mexican sodas and beer too? Excellent food and service! I had the steak taco and my husband had the steak burrito. All ingredients were very fresh and we liked the create your own style of serving. We also had a side of their homemade guacamole which is delicious! We would definitely recommend Pescado's for a nice relaxed dining experience after a day of hiking! Good eats! read more
