Called for pricing for a installation of a basic factory radio in my car because i cracked the screen. Was quoted 1200 to 1800 dollars smh. Finally decided to take the plunge and spring for a custom stereo, parking sensors and front and rear cameras for my SL550. I called all of the custom shops in the area and they were all eager to do the job. When I asked them to tell me about the other SL projects they had done, all were silent but Perzan. Eric and David talked me through several complex SL design and installs they had completed then they asked me what my goals were. They worked with me to set a budget and pick out all of the best components. I ended up with a far better sounding and functioning system than I expected and there were no surprises along the way. When i was selling car stereos for audiovox & blaupunkt Henry Perzan & his son had quite an impressive operation in upper darby. One day will smith had his new lambo there ( contach ) to try & get a radio in there ( they did & was banging ). In the years since the industry has changed drastically and Perzan's personal are up to date to interphase anything to get it to work together. Perzan is the kind of business that knows how to take care of a customer! David went above and beyond to help me out even though I had never stepped foot in their store. I called up right at closing time on Friday night with some technical issues I was having with my AL Priority system. David not only took the time to talk with me but insisted I come in on Saturday so they could have a look. Saturday morning I showed up right around 10am, David asked me to pull around and asked Gary to help me out. I couldn't believe it! I wasn't here 5 minutes and already we are diagnosing the problem. After a short few minutes with Gary we were able to determine the bad part and up front to David I went. He wasn't going to let me leave without the part I needed even though it may have been a warranty item with the manufacture. That couldn't be determined until Monday morning so basically on a handshake we parted ways, I with the part and David with my phone number. We settled up first thing Monday morning as it wasn't going to be covered under warranty with the manufacture. What can I say other than these guys are tops in my book. It doesn't get any better than Perzan. Places like this just are not all that common anymore. They do excellent work in an amazingly short period of time at very reasonable prices, and they go out of their way to be sure that everything is as promised, even with an unpredictable car like ours. We brought in a 1980s car with a radio that had a lot of problems, but Dave promised not to replace anything that was still working. When something they didn't replace went south soon after, they got us in immediately and fixed us right up, at no extra charge. I asked on Bimmerpost The BMW experts if the BMW 2015 435 ix conv ( F32 series) can be remotely started and the experts said to me that it Cannot be done. IT is forbidden. Well the Perzan team did it- They got my car to start and shut down remotely and they also enabled an iphone App to allow me to do it from wherever I am in the country. Those guys are geniuses and should franchise their know-how for all those poor BMW users that in hot and cold days have to be content with car ventilation function. read more

These guys really rock! I just bought a new BMW that did not have heated seats. That's where Perzan came in. They are one of the few places that will even attempt a heated seat retrofit, much less execute it. Initially my car gave them fits as the heating element in the passenger seat was triggering the seat belt warning. The owner, Larry Perzan, got personally involved, analyzed the situation, spoke with seat heater manufacturers and synthesized a solution. They could have given up but they persisted and got it right. This was a job well done. Thanks! read more

I have a 2005 Saab 9-3, and NEED to have a functioning stereo and CD player. My built-in stereo was having output signal continuity problems after the car had been jump-started. The stereo would also shutoff for a few seconds, then come back on. While I used to do a lot of my own work on cars, I had neither the time nor the will to troubleshoot what was likely to be a difficult problem to find.The local Saab dealer had recommended Perzan. I had to wait a couple of days after calling them (was not an urgent problem) for their part-time tech to take a look at it. After a couple of hours, they found that my malfunctioning built-in NAV system was causing the control module to restart. Since I could never update my 2005 NAV disc (change of formats in 2007), I have been using my phone as my NAV system anyway. The folks at Perzan were able to bypass the NAV system, and all is well. Their motto is something like "The impossible takes us a little bit longer", and they were certainly able to work through my hard-to-find issue. Their labor was not inexpensive, but it was well worth it for me to keep an otherwise well-running convertible. read more

The reason I give it 1 star because of its dishonesty. I brought my car for them to fix my remote starters. I dropped them in snow and stopped working. I opened up remote remote starter and cleaned it up. The remote now lit up but not blinking to send out signals to communicate with the car. I hope them to be able to reprogram the remote starters. Eric worked on them for 25 minutes and said he found nothing wrong. I confirmed that the problem is with the remote starters, not the car. Eric said he went to the car to find out what's wrong. 40 minutes later, Eric came back and concluded that both remote starters are bad and cannot be reprogrammed. He recommended replacing 2 new remote starters for $130.00. Since the remote starters have bad design (its fob button torn for less than 2 years of normal use), I refused to buy new ones. Eric offered $355.00 for installing new remote starter system. I said no because I can get it at ASAP for only $300.00 with life time warranty. Finally David told me I get no charge even though they spent more than an hour to diagnose the problem (!!!!!!!!!!!). I took the car and drove home and found out on the way home: My HX plus antenna behind my mirror disappeared, even the wire hooked to it through connector. It looks like it was cut off. Why did this happen??? My remote starters are actually not bad? They only need reprogramming? If so, they cannot charge me $130 for reprogramming. It's unreasonably expensive. That's why they lied to me in order to sell new remote starters for $130.00. Why did they cut off HX plus antenna? Because, firstly they felt unhappy when I said no to their recommendation and secondly they're afraid I eventually find out they lied to me when I took the car to other shop. If the HX plus antennae were still there, the car system will work properly and other shop will find out the only thing I need is to reprogram the remote starters. So please stay away from Perzan Auto Radio if you don't want to get cheated. There's misunderstanding here. Eric's technician put the antenna under headliner instead of behind the mirror as supposed to be. That's the reason I could not find it. Eric, after reading the review, contacted me and explained what's happening and apologize for that. I'm highly appreciated his customer care and would like to withdraw my comments and give them 4 stars for good customer service read more

If you love a truly AWESOME (crystal clear) sounding car stereo system, PERZAN is the beginning and the end. OMG, they will have any car sounding better than most peoples home systems. I just purchased a 2014 BMW 435i with the upgaraded Harman Kardon system. Well let me tell you, Perzan replaced the subwoofer as well as the side & rear in the car with Morell speakers in addition to replacing the factory amp. The music now emitting from my new system is so clean amd tight I feel like the artist is in the car with me I have been doing business with them for over 15 years and they get better everytime. THEY ARE THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!! Ohh, by the way, when they finish with your car there is no visible evidence that they were even in the car. If you've ever struggled to find a reputable auto garage to enhance your car, read on! It's strange. When it comes to a car, you do all the homework, search the Earth to find it and when you finally bring it home, extreme panic strikes. How do I protect this shiny target from vandals and thieves??? "I mean, it's almost begging to be keyed or stolen! What the hell was I thinking." These are the deep rooted anxieties I struggled with in the days following the purchase of my very first car. My Goal * Install a 2CH surveillance device with the capability to monitor my car in parking mode but not destroy my car battery. * Install a backup camera for use with my factory LCD head unit. (A generally impossible or perhaps undesirable task for many garages.) Skip ahead to #3 for how my dilemma turned out! With the purchased components in hand I hit another road block: finding an affordable and reputable garage for installation. I called dozens of car stereo installation garages which ranged from ones that catered exclusively to higher end cars for expensive modifications to those shifty garages that seemed like if I left my car, I would never see it again! And not a happy medium in the bunch. And then, near tears, I called Perzan Auto Radio. Observations of Perzan Auto Radio: 1. Patient. With the first call, I knew I was dealing with a group that values customers. David listened to my modification ideas and questions about cameras and DID NOT RUSH ME OFF THE PHONE. This was a turning point in my search because oftentimes the volume of work you will potentially bring a garage and even a person's gender can sway a garage's willingness to speak to you. I was treated with respect, not merely handled or brushed off. 2. A professional garage. With a street and garage peppered with expensive luxury cars, I was all at once impressed but apprehensive with the quote I would receive for the modifications to my modest Mazda. Thankfully I didn't receive the "dealer's [mis]treatment." I presented David and Eric with the cameras I purchased beforehand and wanted installed and they gave me their honest assessment. Incidentally, they have a comprehensive lot of auto components and accessories on site so if you stopped by for a consultation they could grab something off the shelves and steer you on the right track. And as I learned later, order a part-no problem. At first sight, I was scared I'd have to sell blood and take out a small loan to afford their services but thankfully that wasn't the case. In short, modifications that suit your needs and more importantly your budget. 3. Dedicated to making the seemingly impossible...well, possible! For anyone who has a car with a LCD monitor but didn't fork over money to the dealership for a factory backup camera, read on! I walked into Perzan Auto Radio with little hope to use my car's LCD monitor. All the dealerships I approached for quotes either gave criminally exorbitant prices or said aftermarket backup camera installation couldn't be done. With so many professionals telling me 'no' I settled for a rear-view mirror backup camera [meh]. David and Eric took one look at that camera and then my Mazda and assured me, despite all the naysayers, a backup camera could be hardwired to my car's LCD after all. To be sure, the modification was not simple. In fact, days after I left my car, Eric and David called to regularly update me about their progress. So the surveillance cameras were seamlessly installed in my car without issue. Turns out there may have been a reason why the other guys said 'nay' to the backup camera integration. Still, I wasn't pressured to see the installation through and they even offered to install the original backup camera if only to reunite me with my car sooner--I declined, duh. So many said it couldn't be done. But to my surprise, Perzan Auto Radio never did. Their process was thorough (even consulting with Mazda to expedite my service completion). They said they could install it. And you know what? They did! Best of all, they kept me informed every step of the way. More importantly, with the changes that were needed to ensure the job was done, Perzan Auto Radio didn't add strange fees to the quote I was given days before. I left the garage with a car I can be proud of and feel safe to leave on the street. And if I ever need more modifications to my car, I know I have a garage to go to that I can trust. It's ridiculously hard to find trustworthy businesses--especially for auto enhancements. I'm so glad I didn't give up, took a chance and everything worked out! read more

I live in Woolwich township, NJ. I have been in contact with Perzan Auto Radio since 1998. The service I have received has been excellent.Larry, Eric, David, Joe and the whole team has made my trips from New Jersey, worth While. My latest satisfaction of this good service happened this year when I took my car in for a sirrus xm and blue tooth installation. After the free servicel ran out, Sirrus could not get a signal into the receiver. This went on for four months. I took the car back to Perzan and Eric worked until he found someone in the Sirrus technical department with the knowledge to get this job done. He worked all day to resolve this problem. Also, Perzan did not charge me anything for the time spent o rectify this situation. I have found the service to be excellent and I plan to use Larry and his team for future after market installations. read more

I live in NYC and bought a 2004 Cayenne last year. I had looked extensively in the NY area for someone to upgrade the original nav system, which was sorely out of date. After extensive searching, I found Larry, Eric, and the team at Perzan in Philly. After a few phone calls in which they were more than happy to spend a lot of time educating me on what to look for in a nav upgrade, I decided it would be worth it to take the drive to Philly for a weekend. Long story short, Larry and his team did an amazing job. Not only was the work flawless but the customer service was exceptional.
