I am 68 years old, I have been in a mass shooting and fell 30 feet in the military, overall the nightmare I experienced with Perspire Carmel was the biggest nightmare of my life. I came to Perspire to rest my back from Hot Yoga. I soon experience two medical mysteries that put me in the ICU. Testing revealed nothing, although I still canceled my contract on September 18, 2025 and received a confirmation email saying my contract was cancelled and I had four sessions I had paid for that I could still use. I foolishly refuse to believe the sauna could be a trigger for my mysterious illnesses, so after several weeks I called to see if I could still use my residual sessions, which I was told yes, after a couple of sessions I was back in the ICU again. I was then forced to believe that the sauna was triggering some anomaly in me. I do not blame the sauna, although I do believe that I would have avoided the three hospitalizations had I not gone to Perspire, because every sauna I have used before and after did not cause any health concerns at all. The Perspire sauna was what all three of my ICU stays had in common. The last day I got sick, was the last day I went to Perspire. I told the studio about my first two hospitalizations, after the third I just never went back, thinking all ties with Perspire were severed. Because I used a debit card and had my contract canceled it was never on my radar that Perspire would start a new contract
For me without telling me, so they could fleece me out of approximately a $1,000. They paid themselves $139.00 on October 15, 2025, then $89.00 for the next ten months. On September 13, 2026 they texted me after draining my account saying my preferred payment method had been declined. I told them I had not authorized that b.s and wanted my money back. First they said they could not return my money because I was not on film requesting the bogus contract that I did not know existed be canceled. Then they said their computer would only allow them to return two months of money that they treated themselves to. I was my moms 24/7 caregiver from the ages of 83 to 98 (she died at home) The money that Perspire scammed me out of, then refuse to return was part of my inheritance money. It sickens me after dedicating 15 years of my life, Perspire thinks they are more entitled to that money than I am, because they found a way to cheat me out of it. I do not have any respect at all for people who scam senior citizens whether I am the one on the receiving end of the scam or not. Perspire was a horrific waste of time, money and health for me., and I certainly was not counting on Perspire giving themselves a $1,00 dollars worth of bogus tips, to add insult to injury. I took a trip around the world, then was bitten by something that made me very sick when returned. I am not saying I think their sauna would be dangerous for other people, although I would not use their sauna again for a million dollars. I won two national awards during a five year career as a health food store manager, I am appalled by Perspires lack of customer service and ethics and morals. read more
