Refresh, Renew & Relax While looking for a new spa to try, I came across The Aroma Room and decided to stop by to learn more about their services. I'm glad I did. Nasya took the time to explain each treatment and the benefits behind them, and her knowledge and friendliness immediately made me feel comfortable. After chatting with her, I ended up booking all four services. First impression: very clean, organized, and welcoming space. Compared to other spas I've visited, the pricing here was also very reasonable. I started with the steam room and chose the eucalyptus and mint combination, which felt incredibly refreshing. The funny thing is, 30 minutes on a treadmill feels like eternity, but 30 minutes in a relaxing steam room feels like 30 seconds. Time flew by. Robes and slippers were provided since you move between rooms for different treatments. If you plan to do multiple services, I recommend bringing a small tote bag to keep your belongings together as you go from room to room. Next was the salt sauna with infrared (an additional upgrade), and it was absolutely worth it, especially for my aching back. The hydromassage bed was a really interesting experience. You can adjust the pressure, choose specific parts of your body to target, and even adjust the temperature to your liking. The zero-gravity massage chair was another highlight, offering different massage programs, heat options, and positions that really help you relax. By the time I finished all the treatments, my skin felt soft, my back felt amazing, and I walked out feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. If you're looking for a clean, relaxing, and friendly spa to relieve stress, body aches, or even sinus pressure, this is definitely a place worth checking out. If only this spot was closer to my house! It's located in Carmel, which is a bit of a drive for me, but it's absolutely worth it. Aroma Room offers such a wonderful range of services that make it a perfect place for self-care. The owner is incredibly sweet and welcoming, which makes every visit feel personal and relaxing. I also love that they sell candles, and they truly smell amazing. I picked up a lavender mint candle, and it's become one of my favorites. It's all-natural, has a long-lasting scent, and fills the room beautifully. The space itself is cozy and calming, which makes it an Ideal place to take a break, unwind, and treat yourself. I always leave feeling refreshed and happy. Even though it's a bit of a drive, it is a spot I'll keep in mind to come back to. Went here and had such a pleasant time. It was easy to find and super cute on the inside. I was about 10 minutes early to my appointment. While I had knew quite a bit from roaming, exploring the site and having convo with a friend I did wish the informational piece was a little more detailed. I went for relaxation and to detox and that's EXACTLY what I received. The infrared tower was a tad noisy but all in all a 10/10. While here I had decided to buy a candle because in the room I was at for my hydro message the candle in that room smelt really good. I had asked the owner Shayla about the candle which she explained to me that her brother makes the candles and sells them right there in the shop. The candle doesn't even have to be lit and it has a nice smell to it. It will make a whole room smell good just by you taking the lid off. I couldn't pass up this candle and the price was great so of course I had to buy the candle. The AromaRoom is a great place especially if you want to get your relaxation in while there or if you want get a candle to help you relax at home. Either way you will not be disappointed. read more

Don't you love leanring about little gems of self care? I do! The lobby area is crisp and clean with a little coffee bar and a table full of essential oils and little cards that explain the oils and benefits. There were so many and, being unfamiliar with most of them, it was a bit overwhelming. THe owneer, Shayla, offered to pick for me, and I agreed. I told her I tend to like florals, and wanted to feel destressed and relaxed (as opposed to feeling something invigorating). I ended up with bergamot, chamomile, rose, and lavendar. In the steam area, I chose to lie down on the tile bench. There was a timer and everything is automated. It took me a little to figure out what was going on. I can't imagine just sitting on the bench, that seems like it would be uncomfortable. The room got warmer and warmer with the intermittant steam, up to 113*. It was quite relaxing. The bergamost scent really over powered everyhting, so next time I would choose just to go rose and lavendar. I had read you could play music on your phone and I did not do that. I think the sound of the steam whoosing in would over power it. It would be great if they had house music piped in. After, I took a nice cool shower to rinse off, then headed to the room next door for my hydro bed massage that I had added on to my appointment. Here, you lie down and it is also automated. You can indicate of the screen harder or softer and different body zones. It's a little noisy near your head! But it did feel nice. The one thing that was weird to me is, I wonder if you are a larger frame or heavier set person, if you'd actually fit in it, the way the bed was. I am an athletic build and could stand to lose 20 lbs, but I'm not considered obese. I am not sure this would work for people much bigger than me (?) -- see the pic I took of how I fit in the bed. I couldn't see a way to adjust that part of the bed. Also, when the water massages up at your head (because it operates like it's scanning your body up and down), well at your head, it is quite noisy! It was a nice evening of self care. I'm very sensitive to fragrances and, Shayla, the owner, took time to inquire about what scents we wanted and what effect we were going for (i.e. relaxation, decongesting, etc.) She is super kind, professional, personable and took extremely good care of us. We decided to try out all three services, the Halotherapy, Steam Suite and Hydromassage, and you can't go wrong by choosing any of them (but do all three, if you can)! I think my favorite was the steam suite. My husband and I were sweatin' it out to to the oldies... or at least that's what it felt like! (Pro tip: don't wear make-up and don't be surprised when you sweat out your edges!) Omg, so refreshing, invigorating and detoxifying. Love, love, loved it! In a close second was the Halotherapy with the red light tower. That tower is intense, but in the best way possible. The warmth and the salt felt very healing. We'll be back. I went again yesterday, and it was amazing. I started with the aromatherapy sauna, which really opened up my senses and felt incredibly refreshing. Then, I moved to the salt sauna with infrared, which not only helped clear my sinuses but also boosted collagen production--perfect for a rejuvenating skin boost. To top it all off, the hydrotherapy massage was just what I needed to work out some stubborn knots. This place has quickly become a favorite, and I'm excited to keep going back. Shayla is great at creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. I had already been in previously to try the sauna room with salt and infrared light. This time I decided to try out the steam room for 45 minutes. I am OBSESSED! I was not sure what essential oil blend I wanted, so I asked Shayla to pick for me. Shayla asked me what problems I am having. I told her stress, exhaustion, and hormones. When I was in the room the smell of the essential oils were divine. I later found out it was a blend of lavender, bergamot, patchouli, and lime. I went out with some friends that night who couldn't stop commenting about how I had a glow! She has an amazing story and I loved hearing the different benefits the aromatherapy offers. We love the complementary beverages that were offered. We had "the pinch of salt" experience. I felt super relaxed when I left the room. It was set at 88 degrees, not to hot but perfect for relaxation. We also had unwind (a blend of scents/aromas that help you relax). We walked in and the owner was so helpful, knowledgeable, and sweet. I really appreciate how informative she was about the Aroma Room and what it entails. Yayyy! I made it back to this amazing BLACK OWNED/WOMAN OWNED business based on knowledge I gained from a Yelp Elite event last year. This time instead of a bestie, I brought my daughter for an early valentines surprise. My daughter runs HS track and had been complaining of her foot and body pain from working out & it dawned on me..... THE AROMAROOM is going to be perfect! Shayla(sp) is such an amazing vibe creator. You walk in and instantly feel uplifted and relaxed. We were about 10min late so we unfortunately didn't get to slowly select our essential oil blend but luckily Shayla helped speed up our process based on likes we were already privy to. Ultimately we went with "floral" : ylang ylang, rose hip, & eucalyptus. LOVE! my daughter had no idea what to expect in the steam room but she immediately said "best day ever mom" which translates to instant cool points for me. This was my first time visiting this new establishment in Carmel. Free street parking is available. I chose to try the hydromassage. Someone described it as being massaged by a water bed and I totally agree. There is a screen attached that allows you to adjust pressures, choose direction, and select location of body being massaged. I initially tried the full body. It was a little ticklish on the back of my legs/knees, but the warm nodules felt great as it worked from my ankles to my neck. I enjoyed it the most on my back and decided to increase the pressure and leave it on the back for about five minutes. To describe the experience, I would say it felt like you're laying on a waterbed and the water jets are massaging you as they run up and down your body. I happened to be at The AromaRoom for an event and decided to buy a hydromassage while I was there. The thing about The AromaRoom is that you get an aromatherapy experience, whether you're there for that or not. It's fantastic. I was greeted warmly and shown to the hydromassage room. I wasn't sure what hydromassage was. All I knew was that I had read on the website that you don't get wet, so I really couldn't quite picture what it would be like. The hydromassage is done through this cool bed where you're protected from the water that's massaging you. How can I explain what it feels like? When I was a kid, a neighbor had a recliner that had a vibrating massage feature. Well, this feels like that, but better. You can control the speed, pressure, and where it's massaging, and when I was in it, I wasn't sure if it was really working or what it was doing. Then, after 20 minutes, I got up and wow! I was so relaxed! It's a great experience and I really liked it. I have to say, this place is fantastic. Very reasonably priced - especially with their memberships, which I highly recommend - and it's a lovely, clean, pleasant place to be. I took my sister here for her birthday and we really enjoyed it. The space was clean and airy and we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. The owner helped us through the process of picking the right oil blend and I loved that there was plenty of information out on the table for us to read about the benefits of each oil. I also appreciated that many details were carefully thought out from offering a phone protector to shower caps. Overall we enjoyed the experience and I'd recommend. I loved The AromaRoom! The concept is super cool & I haven't ever done anything this like this so I'm happy I got to try it during the Yelp elite event:-). My boyfriend & I tried "a grain of salt" in one of the halotherapy salt suits and they let us use the infrared light as well! We enjoyed it and thought it was relaxing. I noticed that the rest of the day I was breathing clearer than ever! Besides relaxing alone, I think this would be something fun and different to do with a significant other or a sibling, maybe even a close friend. The whole place smelled so good as well, I look forward to returning to try the aromatherapy steam suites! When I walked out Shayla was at the desk reading and as I was thinking to myself when my next visit could happen she notified me of the special. I immediately signed up. The special gives me unlimited appointments for the month for a fee. As I was signing up for the special I found out Shayla is the owner. This place is located in downtown Carmel right off Rangeline. Upon first walking in, I was immediately greeted and the place smells amazing (no surprise there). It was an easy Check-In process, just signing a waiver and then welcomed to have a seat while you choose your Aroma for the Steam Suite. I opted for the "Take a Deep Breath" which is a 45-minute Steam Room session. They took me back to my room, and told me what to expect and then let me get ready to relax. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I wasn't sure of the cleanliness, but this place was IMMACULATE! The experience itself was relaxing, I will say, if you are NOT a "smells" person, then you may want to ask for a few less drops, because it is very pungent. I opted for the I-Renew which smelled great and was very relaxing. After the Steam session, I was able to take a cool shower in the Steam Room and then get dressed and ready to leave. They do seem to be running a few specials right now on memberships, so be sure to ask about that! read more

I was invited to experience TheAromaRoom courtesy of Yelp Events. This was my first time. It is part of the Carmel City Center and was a little difficult to find because the sign is a little faded, but it is in the front. I couldn't find any street parking so I had to park in the parking garage. I was greeted upon entering and was tended to quickly even though I was a few minutes early. I chose the 30 minute steam room. Choosing oils was a little intimidating and was just asked "what oils do you want?" not really understanding how it worked. I had to ask some questions to be guided to what might be best for me and get a suggestion. I was taken to the room where I got a very brief explanation. I undressed and started my experience. At one point the steam stops and I did not know this would happen and was a little confused the first time since this wasn't part of the explanation, but it started up again in intervals. I also noticed that when it stopped you can hear all the surrounding noise, which somewhat effected the relaxation. The steam and scents did feel great though, it felt refreshing to sweat and breath in the chamomile and peppermint. I did exit a few times as a break from the heat. I also really liked the double shower heads. They were a great way to cool off at the end of the session. I also liked that they had lotion and robes and towels on hand to use. The towels were small so I'd ask for extra next time. Overall, it was a neat experience, but I'm not sure it's something I would do regularly. It would be something I'd be more likely to do if I had congestion or a cold. read more

100 stars for the AromaRoom!! Even though it was a busy weekend, we showed up for our noon appointment early in the off chance they may have an opening available. We felt absolutely treated like royalty by the warm and kind staff, the ambience is beautiful from the moment we walked in the door, and our treatment was lovely! I had run a 10k just prior to entering this salt chamber with sore legs, and I swear they felt good as new afterward. Loved sharing this experience with my partner, the red light room was not too warm at all, it was perfectly cozy. There was free and easy parking available nearby. I can't wait to return!! read more
