Owner contracted via Progressive Ins. for this all-in-one company to handle the mitigation to repair finish. The comp. started mitigation. They completed approx. 80 % demo of ceiling and 75% of the flooring. Then conducted final moisture tests and left the rest for the next company. Interesting they say once drywall is wet it can be dried with no further damage expected, like mold or mildew. Learned alot so far. Had to call back for hidden wet to be dried. read more

at first i really enjoyed this company's service. they responded quickly and showed up on time. However after we inquired about things we did not believe were up to standard, the attitude of the manager seemed to have flipped. after that, it was nearly impossible to get ahold of the manager, and the workers show up almost 20 minutes past the time they said they would. At one point they showed up 2 hours late. The re-painting of the ceiling is subpar. You can see where they quickly painted over and they left a lot of corners untouched. They struggled to get my ceiling lights and fan working again, claiming it was something with the wires, however when originally installed with those same wires the job was done quickly and seamlessly. Now, we have switches that don't even work anymore because his unqualified workers cut wires they weren't suppose to. A few months later, the paint in the bathroom starts peeling. We contact them again and they send a manager out to confirm, they did in fact use the wrong type of paint for a bathroom. it was nearly impossible to get ahold of someone to schedule the repainting and every time i did, we got told "we're looking for the project manager in charge". After being told multiple times that I would get a call by a certain time, and I didn't, I decided to ask on builder trend for someone to call me to confirm a new date, since they had decided to not show up on the previous date scheduled. This company was recommended by USAA as a preferred contractor. I trusted them to repair water damage after my AC leaked through my ceiling, walls, and floor. They were able to respond quickly and begin remediation almost immediately. The initial repairs had some problems. Floorboards were installed in a sloppy manner, leaving gaps between boards and appliances. A toilet lid was cracked during removal and was glued back together. Ceiling plaster around a damaged air vent had gaps or cracks. The water pipe connection to an outdoor hose bib was disconnected and not reconnected. The contractors and project manager dismissed the complaints and recommended I accept the quality of work as is. When I contacted the company's owner to notify him of the deficiencies he stepped in personally to correct the situation. The flooring contractor and project manager were released and a new team was brought in to complete the repairs. An answering service was recruited to ensure messages were received. A new customer web portal was launched to better communicate project records and details. They honored their warranty and made sure all the work was completed to my full satisfaction. read more

The only reason I'm giving this company 2 stars is because I thought they were kind people. Otherwise, I find them incompetent. USAA suggested them to repair my ceiling and wall after a quest pipe burst in my home. They took longer than planned, instead of putting my furniture back where it belonged they left it in boxes piled up. They didn't even move it out of the room, they covered it with a tarp and half of it was splattered with plaster. These are kids toys! They broke some of my sons trains. And whatever hole the project manager wasn't satisfied with that got repaired is glaringly obvious when you walk in. I'd hate to see what it looked like beforehand. I would not recommend this company unless I was recommending USAA take it off their preferred vendor list. read more

Rhett is a good project manager .. all the work was done in a timely and professional Manner . I really enjoyed how you can follow the work done each day with an app that was used which also provided downloaded pictures each time of all the work and progress for each scheduled work day,because I was always at work and couldn't see it at the time each phase was done .There were some minors things that were noticed but was corrected quickly and was even compensated for some minor things and Rhett was very fair about it. If I needed some more work to be done to my home ,I would definitely give them a call. read more

This appears to be a franchised contractor-broker type company. USAA required me to use this company, and I am NOT happy. The repairs took 3 months instead of 2 weeks; the repairs were shoddy at best, and often had to be redone two or three times; the demo team caused more damage than the original mishap; often no one showed up, as scheduled; and while several of the individual trades were ok, in general, it seemed like the company was simply charging USAA to shuttle in the cheapest possible options. In the future, I will stick with my tried and true contractor, understanding now that there's a reason he costs more. The ONLY positive is the administrative assistants responsible for scheduling were polite and always returned phone calls. Do NOT use this company under any circumstances. read more

Personal Touch Service was recommended by USAA to repair a collapsed 8x8' section of ceiling due to a leaking AC in the attic. My experience with the company was much different than the other USAA customer that left a review here. Nick was my project manager, he communicated well and kept tight timelines throughout the process. The gentlemen that did the work arrived when Nick said they would, they had the correct material, barricaded the living room front the rest of the house (to mitigate the migration of dust) and cleaned up when they were done. Everyone of the craftsman that worked in my home were polite and courteous. One minor error was made, I told Nick and the gentleman fixed it the following day. This was a large project over several days. It started on time everyday and they were finished 2 days ahead of schedule. I'm skilled at several trades and I do all the remodeling and home maintenance at two separate properties. This mostly because I don't trust people to take care of my things like I do. The only reason why they even worked on my house is because the insurance was paying for it. I was nothing but impressed across the board with their work and I trust them enough to use them again. read more

I would honestly give them last then a star if yelp would let me. USAA recommended them to us after our AC unit flooded our attic causing significant damage to a large portion of our house. The workers that showed up were largely good at what they were doing. However, their management team and owner have been terrible to work with. We allowed them to put a lockbox on our front door in the event that we were not home and we could give them permission to go in and do work. This quickly turned into them just walking in whenever they wanted to. We brought it up to the workers and they said that their project manager told them we were okay with this. We then brought this up to him and he got annoyed at us and continued to just walk into our house. We have two dogs, an infant and my wife was exclusively pumping for our daughter and he clearly didn't care about the dogs barking at people walking into a house while a baby could be sleeping or my wife's privacy. My daughter was woken up numerous times because of this. They claimed to follow a schedule but never did. Had they followed this we could of gone to a hotel room for my daughter to sleep. Our next issue was with the paint team. They showed up, just walked into the house and throw everything on our bed. No cover or anything to keep dust and dirt off our bed. They included this by putting our pictures on the bottom of the pile, they were broken because of this. They also threw a coffee mug with liquid in it upside down on our bed, soaking it. It was at this point that I had enough and emailed the owner. He was originally upset by his workers actions and even took our picture to get fixed. We then brought up receiving some sort of refund for our experience. He said okay and that he would get back to us with a number. I told him that I would be leaving for nearly two months for work and that he would need to reach me on my work email which was provided to him. That was over a month ago and he has still not contacted me. He has offered to pay the $1.50 for washing our bed sheets though. And only wants to talk to my wife while I'm not there because after him taking months to finish our house now he's in a rush to finalize things before I get home. The things this company have put us through is more than $1.50 and it's insulting he thinks that's all my family's privacy and the damage from his workers is worth. Unprofessional... Half assed everything. Trim was literally cut 1/2" short in more than one place (final project, that is how it is right now). I had to tell them several times to redo things until it got to the point where I just wanted them out of my house; I decided if I wanted it done right that I would have to do it. In my opinion they were in my house over a week longer than it would have take some one who knew what they were doing. They were ALWAYS late, better than an hour. They would cancel one hour after they were suppose to be at my house and just show up when we told them not to. They were also always forgetting tools that they needed to do the job. It took them three trips to the store just to get the right tile after I told them which one to get and I gave them the item number, just one of the many examples. This was such a frustrating experience I feel robbed and violated. They were way also way overpriced (literally). read more
