If you have a home emergency I would definitely recommend choosing another restoration company…read more I've had 2 different projects done. One was at my rental property, the second at my primary residence. When a new tenant moved into the rental property we found many things that weren't done correctly, some that cost me a large amount of money. Thank goodness there was a new project manager, who corrected many of the problems caused for the last project manager. There was a huge amount of leaking when my tenant took a bath. It caused water damage in both adjacent bathrooms. The master bath floor was to be taken down to the studs in the insurer payment. It wasn't. When the hall bathroom flooded, the workmen found asbestos that has been covered by layers of tile. My question was if the adjacent bathroom floor had been removed to the studs, wouldn't asbestos have been found there too? The Project Manager admitted Yes. Asbestos was then found. The company covered the asbestos removal in that one bathroom but not the other. If they had done the work correctly the first time they would have known both bathroom floors were the same. Then the source of the tub leak had to be found. The plumbing under the house wasn't going to the city's connection. More big bucks for me. The new project manager did correct some issues that the now no longer employed Project Manager didn't correct. He couldn't believe that he actually took the new toilet I ha recently replaced & replaced it with a cheap one. I saw it & said "Where is my toilet?" The next day what I thought was my toilet has been returned,. But when I tried it the lid wasn't solid like the one I had recently bought. My theory was that he was running his own business on the side & skimming from First Atlantic & its customers When I had a pipe break at my primary residence I panicked & called First Atlantic. To my chagrin they assigned that same Project Manager. On hindsight I should have requested someone else. I later learned that he was sub contracting work to companies not used by First Atlantic. They had to remove the tile from my master bathroom floor to mitigate the water damage. It was obviously not done correctly. A few years ago I had my front door removed. The stud it was connected to, which was directly under the worst of the water leak, was so rotten that it crumbled into pieces. The tile company didn't shield the bathroom correctly while they ground away the inches of hard insulating material under the tile. My vanity, closet & bedroom were coated with the residue. I had to throw many things away. When the cleaners he hired were asked about cleaning the area they indicated their instructions were to clean a path from the VA bathroom and down the front staircase . I later learned that First Atlantic has their own cleaning crew that would never have said that. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say that even with personnel changes, I would never hire this company again.

Instead of taking full ownership and correcting the mistake, they dodged and blew off the damage, stating, "It was Category I water damage due to a clean water spill, and a carpet cleaning should resolve it." Ironically, I originally hired them for "clean water damage" from a refrigerator line leak, and they had no problem billing my insurance company for $3,200.00+. Due to their mistake, my property suffered water damage that they wanted to ignore and dismiss. Even after giving Neptune Restoration ample opportunity to make the situation right, I had to hire another mitigation company to handle the water damage due to their error. They were completely unprofessional and acted like total crooks.

Awe yeah....carpet cleaning…read more Okay....placed a call early in the week....got an appointment for a few days later. The team arrived on time and started right away. I needed the whole third floor of my townhome hardcore cleaned. The previous owner had a cat that just had a ball (hairball) with the hair all over. Not to mention, the cat smell. The team arrived with their big cleaning unit and brought everything they needed to the third floor. One important note....they did need my bathroom to dump their water so I was fortunate to have one on the third floor. Just something to consider or plan of you have them come over. Overall, they worked for a couple hours power cleaning my carpet. Bottomline, well done. No more cat hair or cat hair smell. The third floor looks and smells brand new. I would use them again if I needed to.

I cannot recommend ServPro based on my experience with the reconstruction, packing, and moving of…read moremy home. Communication and project management were poor throughout the process. Materials they knew were needed weren't ordered until late in the project, causing delays and affecting my flooring and cabinet replacement. A home inspection afterward found incomplete work, including insulation that had been removed but never replaced and HVAC vents that were not properly connected. As I've unpacked, I've discovered even more problems. Furniture was disassembled, but the hardware wasn't taped to or kept with the furniture, and much of it was never found. I've made several trips to hardware stores trying to replace missing parts. A brand-new TV had a punctured screen and had to be replaced. My jewelry was thrown loose into a large box with other belongings, leaving necklaces and chains badly tangled. There were many other issues: my mattress was stored without the protective cover I specifically purchased, light covers were broken, drywall and construction debris were placed against freshly painted walls, glue was left all over the new flooring, and my front door was left unlocked. Most frustrating was being told by the supervisor that I was "complaining too much" when I raised concerns. These weren't minor complaints. They involved damaged property, missing hardware, incomplete work, additional expenses, and many hours of my time trying to correct problems. Based on my experience, I would not use ServPro again.

First, they removed the mold from a wall in our back room, I started breathing easier immediately following the removal. They then removed mold from our living room and it turned out to be less than we thought!! Only thing I don't like with the company is they don't put plastic over insulation after the wall is cut out. I had a lot of insulation falling onto my floor after the work was done. But I just taped trash bags over it :). Thanks for all the hard work you and your team put in. I can comfortably live in my own home now after a 3 year battle of health issues from mold :)

They also directly sprayed exterior outlets and my Ring doorbell, causing permanent damage and costing me an additional $100 to repair and replace. So my overall cost is $600 and I'm still looking at a dirty home. When I reached out to them about my complain they were incredibly defensive- despite me making it clear I wasn't asking for a discount- and insisted that I couldn't prove they caused any of the damage, that it was the paint making it look dirty instead of them missing any areas, and that it was unfair of my to post any reviews without allowing them to come back and touch up the missed areas. On my first negative review they responded by exposing my personal information in retaliation. Due to their defensive tone and the damage already caused I'm not interested in allowing them back on my property.
