Too much moisture and poor drainage. Tried to re-seed it myself, which got okay results. But after my dog was injured and no longer allowed to go on walks for several months, her potty-ing in my tiny backyard destroyed everything. Even after she healed, I Couldn't bring the lawn back to life. Finally decided to look into artificial turf. Best decision I ever made. Initial cost is the more expensive of options, but now I have a year round beautiful lawn. And it's all up front cost. No more mowing, trimming, or getting into a battle to the death with weeds. Saves massive money and time in the long run. Best part is I can sit on it with my dog and neither of us will get dirty! And my floors stay cleaner! Strader lawn services was amazing from the beginning. Despite it being the start of their busy season, they were very quick in completing my project. Mike (the owner) was very very quick to respond to any messages I sent. And when he came out for the initial consult, he explained the entire process to me, from how far they dig, to the various layers applied, to how to maintain (meaning NO MAINTENANCE. I spilled some mulch from my flower boxes and literally just swept it off with a broom!) he kept me updated with texts and pics while they were working on my yard, which I loved! And the turf is pet friendly! I 100% recommend this company. And if you're on the fence about turf, I get it. So was I. But the results are amazing!
