When I went through Yelp to find a colorist, Elly was recommended. So glad because I didn't have to find someone new! Kayla recommended chocolate highlights with my dark black hair. Due to getting older, I have some white/gray hair and she said highlights were best because it'll cover the grays lol. She did a fantastic job! I LOVE my hair. I'm so happy I stuck with Kayla. Sam was the one who cut my hair. In terms of efficiency, availability, and flexibility to get me in sooner than my appointment I give a 5/5. I brought in some reference photos and when my hair was fully cut and styled I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I walked out feeling egg like, but after washing, and styling on my own I was a little happier with it. Unfortunately, in my opinion, having your hair cut is an intimate experience where meshing with your stylist is important (at least to me) and it all felt very impersonal. It felt rather rushed, and at times I felt the blade get stuck in my hair because too much was being cut with very swift motions. I have thick hair, and smaller pieces are best to work a blade through. I am grateful to have been fit in sooner, to have cut off my hair, but I give the hair cutting aspect a 3/5.

All my friends and family think the color she's done for my hair matches me most out of all the hair colors I have done. When I initially showed photos of the color I wanted, she was able to pretty much accurately match what I was looking for, but better! I was going for an ashy gray but the tone she does for my hair is like a silvery ashy grey; I totally love it though. I have hints of lavender/purple in my hair from the shampoo/conditioner I use to prevent my blonde hair from getting brassy.
