Thank you Jimmy! The cut & highlights look amazing.

Jimmy does great work. He works with us to find the right style, cut and color, and also with scheduling dates and times that work in our busy schedule. This cut and color turned out amazing!

After seeing the great reviews for Jimmy, I took my chances and WOW!!! I'm soooo glad that I did!! He is very knowledgeable and artistic!! I was hesitant initially because he had never cut or worked with my hair before. Jimmy listens to what you are trying to achieve and makes sure he understands before he does anything. I loved the cut so much that I made another apt for the color. I did not think I would be able to achieve the brightness that I had conveyed to Jimmy because my hair is dark and is difficult to hold color. Not only was Jimmy able to do the color, it was waaaaay better than I had even expected !!!! Jimmy is fair with his prices as well and is focused on his work like an artist is to their piece!!! Thank You Jimmy!!! I'll be one of his regulars after these two fabulous experiences!!

I had seriously given up on hair. My hair was fried and damaged and so so not what I wanted. I was hesitant to go to someone to get it colored. I found Alina on Instagram and fell in love with the colors and styles she did. I came in and was promptly seen, setting an appointment was a breeze. I came in and explained what I wanted. What she did was above and beyond my expectations. The colors, the layers, the cut... everything was so beautiful. I finally love my hair! Thank you Alina!!!

This my hair, sorry it doesn't show all of the bottom. I had it redone before taking a better picture. It was all one color of orange.

I went into have my hair highlighted. I had a picture and we discussed in detail how I wanted it. I will include the picture that I showed her as a reference, and the picture of what I actually got. Multiple things went wrong Thursday. While she was washing the dye out of my hair she went to add conditioner. She did not add conditioner it was some thing else, I don't know what it was. She got upset and started saying she couldn't get the conditioner out of my hair. She told me I was going to have to set up so she can brush the tangles out of my hair. When I sat up and looked in the mirror it looked as though I had dreadlocks. my hair was stuck and matted together. She had to use a clarifying treatment to remove whatever was in my hair, and then washed it an additional three times with shampoo. Mind you she had already washed my hair twice before the clarifying treatment. Whatever she put in my hair was so stuck in there it took five washes in a treatment to get out. After that was over I saw the results of my color. I was so upset, my hair was bright orange. It was not highlighted it literally looked like somebody painted all of my hair orange, and then left my roots. It was supposed to be a gradual change like in the picture I showed her. There was supposed to be blonde in the front, lots of dark throughout, and blonde highlights. What I got was a blotchy stringy orange look. It was the worst color job I have ever had. The only redemptive quality is that she did not ask for me to pay for it of course. Although I would rather get it done right and pay for it. Then get a horrible job and not have to pay for it. It cost me $245 at a different salon to get my hair fixed. The original price for her job was $90, so she cost me $155, and my hair still does not look like the picture. I had virgin hair with no color when I first went in, that is a colorist dream. However, she managed to ruin it completely. this was Libby the owner of the salon that did that sadly.

Definitely heading back here again!! Had my first experience of getting my hair dyed, I was nervous for how it would turn out... and let me tell you I was so impressed and loved how my hair turned out, thanks to Alina!! :))

Can you by chance give me a price range for an all over 2 color dye for shorter hair?

There is no set price point for colors. Each individual has particular needs. Example: how much hair, what color there looking for and how to get to that desired color. Consultation is always provided prior to service to evaluate needs and costs.

He told my husband it's great for first haircuts, which was the case for my twins, and perfect for kiddos who need a low sensory/stimulation environment. Booking was a little challenging but we were able to get in before their big 1st birthday! I recommend text messaging if you don't get an answer or call back from the salon. Our hair dresser was Lacey who was super friendly, patient, and accommodated very well to the needs with each of my boys. She took things slow introducing the clippers to them letting the vibrations touch their arm, legs, and feet. If they started to turn their heads too much or seemed very upset we'd take a little break and she would cut other areas with scissors. I did have my 3.5 year old with me too. She absolutely loved the salon! So many toys to keep her busy near us and another play area towards the back of the salon. I appreciate having the whole place to ourselves as it does serve to the low stimulation environment necessary for some babies and first haircuts! Hearing lots of chatter, blow dryers, clippers, etc. can be overwhelming. Highly recommend booking with Tangle Free!

Icon Salon - Second session partial highlights and balayage done by Marcie @marcie_makingthecut

Today I had my second session of partial highlights and balayage with Marcie @marcie_makingthecut…read moreand I am AMAZED with the results. A little hair background: I have fine, black Asian hair and my end goal is to get platinum blond. Prior to my first appointment, I was all about ashy blond hair. However, I had quite a bit of warmth near my roots and my ends were light, so when I kept using purple shampoo, only my ends would get ashier, making my roots appear even warmer due to the contrast. When I showed up to my first session, Marcie listened to what I didn't like about my hair and what I want to eventually achieve. She then gave me different options depending on my budget ($135, $175, $200), which is very considerate. I went with the $200 option and she let me know that since I had a bit of correcting to do (get rid of the brassy roots and even out my previous blond), it would be a little more expensive this time, but now that I have an even canvas to work off of, next session would be cheaper. Fast forward three months later to today, aka my second session. I've been super excited to go back to Marcie for her to work more miracles on my hair as this time, I wanted to go icy white. She told me that since I do naturally have black hair, I may not be able to get there and I understood that and she once again, gave me the option of partial highlights ($165) and full highlights ($200). I went with the partial highlights and she was able to get my ends super super light. Another new thing that I wanted to try was bring the blond up to my roots, but I noticed it looked a little chunky after she dried my hair. We talked about this and she patiently explained that is because my natural hair is a level 1 and transitioning to a level 7 is a very big difference, but she was willing to apply a little bit more toner in my roots just to soften it up a little more and I was super super happy with the results. TLDR, I would most definitely recommend Marcie if you're looking for a friendly, knowledgable hairstylist who takes the time to explain your hair's situation. Also, she has very reasonable pricing and is only booked about ten days ahead. Love her work and patience!
