Jason was running a few minutes late and shot me a text indicating so. He arrived and quickly got to work recapping what we agreed upon and asked if I had any questions. After doing a test run to see if the location of the outlet would reach the charge port on the car, we realized my measurements were off and it would not; so, he improvised. He quoted me a new price to wire at the new desired location and went to work and completing the installation in his estimated time. When I went outside to pay him, he was vacuuming up drywall dust, from my garage floor. Every scrap of excess wire was gone. I am not sure anyone else would have done such a thorough clean up job. While I can echo what everyone else has said about this professionalism, honesty, competency, great communicator, I can also attest to his flexibility and attention to detail. Hire this man.

We needed old track lighting removed, a ceiling fan replaced, a 2-story entry chandelier replaced, new lighting in our 2-story formal living room, new recessed gimbal lighting in our stairwell, and some miscellaneous recessed lighting replaced. Jason was easy to work with and we were pleased with the results. We definitely recommend him as he will be the person we call for all future electrical needs.

After setting up new service for the year (2026), I had a choice of early startup or later startup. An appointment was setup so that I could work with the service technician to explain my system and needs. The service technician called before arriving to say he was 15 minutes out - he arrived 15 minutes later. He quickly did a check of the Non-Return apparatus and found that both brass valve bodies were cracked (this was a result of late shutdown last year by previous service). He had the parts needed on his truck and he quickly repaired that and did an excellent job of installation. We then went through my system zone-by-zone and head-by-head. He found one head that was damaged and he quickly replaced it. He also found a leak in the yard and he was able to cut the sod and immediately zero in on the pin-hole leak in the underground supply pipe. He did an excellent job of fixing that. He also proposed a way to solve a problem I have where I need a sprinkler head to cover a small area in the back of my yard. I am very impressed with the communications with the CT office personnel as well as the service technician (Danny). Danny is very knowledgeable and professional, as well as a good communicator. I would highly recommend this firm for any irrigation project.

We needed to have an outlet for an ev charger installed in our garage. When I called to make the appointment, the woman I spoke with said, "We've done just tons of these lately," which made me hopeful that they could help us navigate decisions regarding car charging stations for our garage. The estimator came out and gruffly said he had no experience nor advice about car chargers, had never estimated one before. He looked at the breaker box, pronounced the sub-panel more than sufficient (as I'd already said when making the appointment) and left, sending an estimate for north of $900 to install the outlet. As a consequence of his inexperience, we turned to Dr. Google and ordered a plug-in charger to work with the outlet specified in the estimate. When the electrician arrived, he was gruff and smelly. He said, "Well, where is it?" When we asked what he wanted, he said, "The car charger." It hadn't arrived yet, but I pointed out that the estimate was for a 240 volt outlet. "Nobody told me," he said, then asked to look at the breaker box. After informing me that he'd have to remove a significant chunk of drywall to make the installation, he left to go get parts and was gone for 45 minutes. When he returned, he said he could thread the wires through the hole for the outlet and wouldn't have to destroy our drywall after all. He completed the work (once present and equipped) in under 30 minutes. In retrospect, I wish we'd post-poned the visit until the equipment arrived and hard-wired it, and I fail to understand why this small job cost nearly one thousand dollars when it came without any information or assistance in making decisions around this technology. Or, if that price is in line, why the two Burtner employees we interacted with could not be pleasant nor knowledgeable. I've told two friends about this, and both recommended electricians who would have been more timely, friendly, and less expensive. And both said, "Sorry to hear that. Burtner used to be a good business."
