We found items of any and all categories, ranging from vintage concert tees, vinyl records, milk glass dishes and vintage jewelry to comic books, children's toys, books and more. In my opinion, most of the items were not priced to sell. They were being overvalued. The pricing was for the customer that comes in looking for a specific item for a specific purpose. We were just browsing for fun and unique finds and left with a pair of cuff links, a piece of costume jewelry, a few handkerchiefs and a book. We saw other items that we were interested in, but after doing some price comparison, we were able to find the same or similar items on online marketplaces such as eBay for less. The staff were kind and helpful. We stayed right up until closing time, and they never lost their professionalism or kindness like some businesses probably would when customers walk in moments before closing and disregard them when a shopkeeper reminds them. This was not us (we were there for about 2 hours), but I did witness this happening.

Prices were good and bad. As always prices are controlled by each individual booth owner so some are reasonable and some I would consider unreasonable. The staff in the store were all real friendly and they held our items at the counter as we shopped to keep our hands free for more items, yes that is a problem Just kidding, nice of them to do. I failed to get through the entire store so I will have to make a return trip, my friends are faster than me as I like to look at absolutely every piece to make sure I do not miss than gem I was searching for. I keep a running list of things I want to find as well as a list for some of my friends. I found plenty to bring home on this day and we had a fun time reminiscing and searching through each booth. The clerks welcomed me when I entered and asked if they could help me. They told me about sales in many booths. Most booths were had clearance prices with prices up to 50% off. A friendly old shaggy dog makes its way past customers. The shop is filled with soaps, candles, jewelry and primitive antiques. I searched through every nook and cranny. Each room is creatively decorated. I found a Christmas ornament that I couldn't live without. Actually, I found several, but settled on one. The shop was filled with laughter, as clerks removed ornaments from trees. This made me happy. There is a restroom filled with whimsical antiques. The shop is a little difficult to see from the road, but they had banners out to pull people in. Parking is somewhat limited, but I didn't have trouble finding a spot. Well worth a visit.

There are all kinds of beverages to enjoy. All kinds of hors d'oeuvres are served. It puts people in a holiday spirit. I always finds something to take home. The stall owners are very helpful. Each stall is so personalized that you can find something special hidden in corners. Discovery is fun. The prices vary. I found a lovely candlestick for $5! Just what I was looking for. Of course I've been back several times. Once I walked in the door and within a minute I saw the exact Christmas tree I was looking for. SOLD. I hope people check out this quirky shop.

It's beautiful, it's oven safe, it's dishwasher safe, it's microwave safe, and ... have I mentioned that it's beautiful? Each and every piece is something that you'd want to use every day, but also use when you serve guests (and I can guarantee your guests will compliment you on your pottery). It's just lovely. I had a hard time picking out a piece to buy myself: At this store that's located in Carmel's City Center, there are platters, dishes, bakeware for muffins and loaves, pie plates, ornaments, tasting spoons and cups, mugs and more. And every single piece can be used in the microwave/dishwasher/oven. I love pretty things that you don't have to worry about ruining! This pottery is hearty and will last a long time, and the prices reflect that quality. For instance, the small quiche dish that I bought was around $35. But this truly is a piece of functional pottery that will last a lifetime, and can be passed on to others. Out of the Blue has been in Carmel about two years, and they typically have a booth at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt (although since the market won't be happening this year, they obviously won't be there). So this is the only store of its kind in Hamilton County. If you love beautiful pottery and baking/cooking in it, I suggest checking out this place.

This quaint little shop was very nice and cute, and had some nice local merchandise and unique nicnacks. I walked through the shop and could tell it had a nice selection of merchandise and the value of the price appeared to be very good. I went into a separate room that had 50% off merchandise, and found a few things that caught my eye which I ended up purchasing. They were kitchen coasters and they were very decorative and attractive looking. The service at the shop was Ok. The woman behind the cashier table was very nice and said hello when I first walked into the shop. When I checked out, she was very gracious and wrapped my kitchen coasters very carefully so that they would not break. Fivethirty Home is a neat shop with great merchandise, so if you are in downtown Zionsville, you should check it out. It is very nice and worth browsing around.

The new location has lots of nooks and crannies for setting up interesting displays and they do. We stopped by while out doing some Christmas shopping and found the store packed with shoppers. Good to see people supporting these small independent shops. They carry about 1/3 vintage items like globes and suitcases and nicely painted furniture pieces, about 1/3 local artisan decor mostly Indiana themed (which I love) and then about 1/3 reproduction vintage filler such as wrapping paper and trendy letter art. In addition she carries a line of high quality chalk paint and supplies. They teach classes on how to use the chalk paint (which I've been meaning to take). The pieces that she finishes are gorgeous - mostly little side tables. Today they carried a lot of Christas themed items. The owner is very friendly and happy to provide advice on painting. She is indeed gifted. The prices on the chalk paints are a little high so I haven't taken the plunge yet until I know I have time to complete a project. I see many customers coming to buy the paint and supplies so they must be happy. There is street parking available and a free lot across the street but it can be a bear to find a spot on a Saturday. They are not opened on Sunday. I'll be back and perhaps soon I'll take one of her classes.
