    Persian Fries
    Ryan K.

I arrived very hungry so I ordered more appetizers than I usually do and this was the best choice I made that night. The hummus and Persian fries were unique, exceptional, and massive serving sizes. Relatively to these, the entrees were kind of disappointing. The koobideh kebab came with only 1 skewer despite every other Persian restaurant around serving 2 for that price or less. The cherry rice and kebab were also light on flavor. I would go back to explore more of the menu, and definitely keep getting the appetizers.

Went there for a birthday lunch and everything was an experience. Definitely will be back soon.

A Persian Gem That's Chic, Lively, and Seriously Delicious We decided to try Perse for Valentine's Day, and I'm so glad we did -- this place is an absolute new Persian gem in Brentwood. From the moment you walk in, the ambience is immediately impressive: modern, chic, lively, and upscale in a way that's honestly rare for Persian restaurants. It feels like a spot you'd take someone to celebrate -- date night, anniversary, birthday... or just because you want to eat really well and feel fancy while doing it. One of my favorite touches: the owner personally greets guests, makes you feel genuinely welcomed, and even introduces the chef. That kind of hospitality is special -- and it sets the tone that Perse is not just another restaurant, it's an experience. Cocktails: Persian-Inspired and Perfectly Done We started with drinks and Perse's cocktail menu deserves real credit -- creative, balanced, and actually strong (in the best way). We tried: * Anar -- a Persian tequila cocktail with pomegranate and sumac * Persian Old Fashioned -- with a subtle touch of cardamom tea * Whiskey Sour -- with a touch of sour cherry (albaloo) syrup * Zan -- made with orange liqueur, lime, lychee, and hibiscus Every single drink was great, but the Anar was my favorite -- bold, delicious, and the kind of cocktail you keep thinking about the next day. Appetizers: Don't Skip These We started with a few appetizers and they were honestly all excellent. * Salad -- fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced * Samosa -- crispy, flavorful, and addictive * Persian French fries -- yes, Persian fries... and they were AMAZING. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and served with a yogurt dip that I could honestly eat with a spoon. * Brussels sprouts -- crispy, flavorful, and topped with pomegranate, which somehow made them feel both elegant and irresistible. And the sauces overall... wow. So tasty that we were basically using them on everything like it was our job. The Food: Persian Cuisine with a Touch of French "Oh Là Là" And then the food came... and wow. This is Persian food done with a level of care and elegance that feels almost Michelin-inspired. Honestly, Cyrus the Great and Michelin would both be proud. It's classic Persian flavor, but elevated -- like Persian cuisine got dressed up for a night out in Brentwood. We ordered: * Fesenjoon -- rich, perfectly balanced, and deeply flavorful * Lamb chops -- tender, juicy, and cooked beautifully * Tahchin with chicken -- golden, crispy, and absolutely addictive * Smoky basmati rice -- fragrant and unforgettable Everything had this subtle, elegant touch of pomegranate throughout that made it feel special without being overwhelming. Dessert: Tehranmisu (Yes, You Need It) We were completely full -- but we had to try dessert, and thank goodness we did. Tehranmisu was to die for. A Persian twist on tiramisu that was creamy, rich, perfectly sweet, and honestly one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Final Thoughts Perse is a rare combination: amazing Persian food, elevated presentation, great cocktails, chic atmosphere, and real hospitality. It made me proud as a Persian to see our cuisine represented this beautifully -- modern, exciting, and done at a high level. If you're looking for a new date-night spot in Brentwood (or just want an incredible meal), Perse is absolutely worth it. Pro tip: Get the Anar, order the tahchin, and do not leave without the Tehranmisu.

Having only been to Iran 4-5 times in my youth. There was a lot to hope for in Perse, and I found exactly that. The fusion is on such a level of attention to detail that when I took a bite of the Brussel sprouts even that reminded me of Persian food, and it was delicious! The interior design is a beautiful modern and classic blend of architecture, with Persian sculptures on the walls. The waiters were kind, although they were new since this place has only been open a few months, they were amazing. The food is expensive but certainly worth the price, and the amount of mocktails (beautifully decorated) that are served makes it a great place to bring your children as well. Overall: 4.8/5

I came here with my folks and it was pretty good. We really circled the menu and ordered a bunch but it just didn't hit like I hoped it would. The flavors weren't punchy and we all found the food bland. The service however was amazing and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I do Love their other restaurant, Toranj though. Took photos of the shirazi, lollipop lamb chops which are the best thing and the smoked eggplant.

This is such an amazing place!! Great vibe! Great staff everyone, is so welcoming and kind! They have such amazing choices of Persian inspired fine dine cuisine, great selection of starters and main dishes. My ultimate favorite dish was the lamb chops medium rare, very delicious! I evidently had everything with a glass of beer. And to top it all off I had the chocolate bibi cake and it was super bomb! I love chocolate, it was so good! Definitely give this a 5 star rating! Totally recommend you to try it if you're contemplating it

I'd feel very comfortable recommending Perse to someone going for the first time. It has a polished look and feel, but it doesn't create the kind of pressure some upscale restaurants do. We ordered Boneless Chicken Kabob, Anar, and Fresh Barbari, and the meal gave a really strong first impression in both presentation and overall flow. The atmosphere helps the restaurant feel memorable right away. That makes it a very easy place to recommend. Whether someone is new to Persian food, new to the area, or just looking for a refined dinner spot in Brentwood, Perse offers an experience that feels approachable while still being elevated. It leaves a strong impression without trying too hard.

Finally, a Persian restaurant in L.A. that treats our cuisine with the elegance it deserves. Perse brings refined Persian flavors into a beautiful, modern space. Long overdue. And don't leave without trying the Tahchin. The cocktails created by owner FariNaz and the brilliant bartender Snowy, are their own little works of art, blending Persian inspiration with stunning presentation.

Wow the food here was absolutely incredible. We came for Mother's Day breakfast & everything we ordered was so flavorful and delicious, and on top of that, the food came out so quickly. The service was amazing as well. Eva was so lovely and made the whole experience even better. We ordered a bunch of plates to share and completely cleared every single one. The flavors were delicate, fresh, and so well balanced. I especially loved the saffron pancake Overall, such a great experience, and I highly recommend coming here !!!!

Great atmosphere. The food was delicious, very unique, authentic flavor. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Thank you for making our f Mother's Day here so memorable. We absolutely fell in love with the menu -- the pancakes are unbelievable! We had such a wonderful time, and the atmosphere was amazing. Thank you so much for such a special experience. Eva was an amazing host

I'm so glad I decided to try out this wonderful restaurant with my friends and family. I'm obviously a huge fan of Persian food, but this was unlike any other Persian food experience I've ever had in my life! First of all the setting and the ambience are absolutely gorgeous! Modern, chic, classy. I'm not drinking at the moment but I had 2 mock tails that were to die for and the ladies I was with loved the Zan drink! This would be a really wonderful place for a date night, dinner with friends, any occasion. You will have a stand out meal that will be memorable and delicious! We will be back!!

There is a new Persian fusion king in town and it's called Perse! This restaurant has amazing Persian inspired dishes. It's not your typical Kabob restaurant. There is class and amazing service. You should definitely get multiple items to share. The ambiance fits the rich Brentwood vibe.

They were supper attentive and friendly. After I ordered I sat outside to people watch which was honestly really nice. Reminded me of Paris. My food came promptly thus after. The Tumeric braised chicken is amaaazzzinggg the chicken is so juicy and falls off the bone. The rice has some sort of crunchiness to it that compliments the entire flavor profile of the dish. The eggplant dip reminded me of the one my grandmother makes, dipped with the chicken made my meal feel really nostalgic. I've been back four times since and never regret it. The soltani kabob was to die for; the flavors in the beef barg and koobideh were so rich and cooked to perfection. The mastery of these dishes was absolutely on display. The mast moosir was a great creamy and savory side dish to complement the entrees. I HAD to get the tahdig (crispy rice) too! I also had a bit of the lamb shank which was really flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the baghali polo. The yogurt soda was a bit of an acquired taste for me, but I'm happy to have tried it for the full experience. We finished off our delicious meal with a floral and sweet Persian ice cream wafer sandwich. The portions were enormous, so we left feeling full with leftovers to look forward to! We came on a lively weekday evening. They don't do reservations, but we were warmly greeted and quickly seated with lavash and butter on our table immediately. The restaurant has a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, with hybrid indoor/outdoor courtyard dining. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel very welcomed. I'd give this restaurant more than 5 stars if I could!

Only negative for us was feeling some pressure to upgrade the sides to our dishes (options to upgrade the salad and rice); we upgraded the rice and didn't necessarily enjoy the upgraded rice with cranberries and think the base options may have been preferable. Really enjoyed the included house salad! If you may know you have a preference for one of the upgrades it may be nice to have the options, otherwise, I would not hesitate to stick with the base which is delicious.

Honestly, I didn't even want to write this review, but after spending a couple of hours thinking…read moreabout it, I felt like I had to. To those writing all the good reviews, I genuinely have one question: have you actually had good Persian food before? Have you ever been to Raffi's? We drove all the way from Orange County because someone recommended this place. We usually just go to Raffi's, but I thought, "let's give this place a shot." Unfortunately, that was a mistake. First, I want to be clear: the staff were great, friendly and attentive. This review has nothing to do with them. It's strictly about the food. 3 Stew Tahdig ($17): The tahdig was extremely thick and hard. Even with the stew on top, it was basically inedible. Mast-o-Moosir (Shallot Yogurt): Served in a very small portion and was extremely watery. You could clearly taste raw shallots instead of a smooth blend. This dish should be made with thick yogurt (mast-e chekideh), not something runny. Main Courses: * Soltani ($39) * Naderi Soltani ($42) Honestly, we couldn't even tell the difference between the two, they seemed identical. We asked for well-done, but everything came medium or even undercooked. The barg kebab (filet mignon) was the worst part, it was tough, rubbery, and almost impossible to cut. It genuinely felt like chewing plastic. Not sure what kind of meat was used, but it definitely wasn't good quality. Salad Issue: The server asked which salad we wanted and mentioned Shirazi, Greek, etc. I chose Greek. When the bill came, we were charged an extra $2 for it, which was never mentioned. That should have been clearly communicated. Also, the bowl the salad was served in was chipped and broken in multiple spots--not a great presentation at all. Rice: The rice was poorly cooked and had barely any saffron (maybe 5% at most). Even another table nearby complained about the rice. Drink - Sekanjebin ($10): This is supposed to be a traditional Persian drink, but this tasted like a mix of cheap syrup. It did not resemble authentic sekanjebin at all. Appetizer - Marinated Olives (Zeytoon Parvardeh): The olives were unusually large and overpowering. This dish should be balanced, you're supposed to taste the walnut, pomegranate, and herbs, not just big olives. At this point, it made sense why the restaurant was almost empty on a Sunday lunchtime, maybe 4-5 tables total. To be completely honest, the food upset our stomachs to the point where we had to take Pepto-Bismol afterward. Overall, the food quality was very disappointing, and we will not be coming back. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic or well-made Persian food. Again, no issues with the staff, they were great. The problem is entirely with the food.
