Two toddlers, I guess they're the owners kids. They were running around the bar area. They were jumping over the empty booths and their mom just sat there on her phone talking to patrons. Are toddlers even allowed in a bar? Mom was taking shots with patrons. Cute kids but they were in the way of patrons, falling on the floor and being rambunctious. Really unprofessional. I was surprised by this place and it was better than I expected it to be. It seems a little bit on the divey side when you drive by but they actually some decent Greek food (which you can eat while listening to Greek music). I had the Greek burger which had a nice hunk of feta on it. I would have added a tomato to it but otherwise it fulfilled my desires for a burger. There is also a large basket of candy at the front that goes beyond the normal selection of Dum Dums (those are there to). I'm puzzled to see this place only has 3 stars becuz they have the best food in the area- hands down! We order take out every Sunday (when in town) and love the old bay wings-they seriously have the BEST ranch & blue cheese dressing around! Its the only greek restaurant in the area & all of their Greek offerings are great! My kid loves their Greek salad with chicken because its fresh & not soggy. Our standard order is old bay wings, Greek salad with chicken, spanokopita & kids chicken tenders. The tenders are homemade with a light crisp coating- not the frozen breaded kind. Also, I like that Perry's offers a kids menu that isn't "processed" like most restaurants. You can taste everything is made fresh & to order. Have only eaten at the restaurant a handful of times and found service to be great, especially with my kids. My daughter has several allergies and they were accommodating & pleasant, not annoyed or confused like we've experienced at other restaurants. We've had one hiccup and the owner called me within the hour & went above & beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. He was very professional and listened- I really appreciated it. Its locally owned and you can tell they care especially through their food. You're not dealing with a chain or themed restaurant that spends more money on marketing than their food. If that's what you're looking then Perry's isn't for you. We're big fans of Perry's! I'm now craving it & might have to break our Sunday ritual & go in for lunch! read more

If you're looking to review the bar downstairs, find that page - not this one. Saturday before Mother's Day. My husband has been asking to try this place for some time, but because it's kinda divey, I resisted. Little did I know, this would be some of the best food for the best prices I've had since living here (Jan '14). I ordered seafood mac n cheese - it came w a salad with some of the best ranch dressing I've ever had. The salad was complete with spring mix greens, onion, green pepper, tomato and cucumber. Pretty solid showing for a salad if you ask me. The mac n cheese was really good, although I would have liked a bigger portion - shrimp, lobster and crab, can't get much better than that - and that's probably why myself and anyone else would want MORE! Kids got pancakes and eggs (breakfast available all day!) And spaghetti. Spaghetti was really good with a chunky, sweet sauce. Now for the good part. PRIME RIB. There's a reason it says "hearty appetites" on the menu. It was about an 1.5 inch slab of delicious meat. Am I the only one that didn't know you could order your prime rib "cooked"? Like medium, med well, and such? Well, I had a bit of hubby's and next time I WILL be eating a lot of meat. Because who doesn't need more protein in their diet? The service was a little slow and we sat ourselves on a Saturday night, at a restaurant, which was weird to me. Our server made sure to tell us they were short handed and apologized for the wait - which really means a lot - looked like she was the only server in the place until another guy started helping about 10 mins before we left. Overall a great experience and we'll be back. Prices were more than fair for the food and with more help in the dining room, it'd be spot on. One more thing - they brought out the kids meals before the adult meals. I don't know if this is normal practice, but if you've eaten out w kids, a couple minutes heads up to get their meals prepped (cut up, condiments, utensils) before yours comes out is a pretty solid gesture - that way by the time you get your meal, it's not cold from sitting on the table while you take care of the kiddos. As many have stated drove past this place with the intent to stop in as part of my efforts in supporting local business and tonight was that night. Excellent service from Chris , came on Sunday evening and they had Karaoke going on and I must admit I love the atomosphere that it creates. The food was great as advertised, had the spinach pie , along with a gyro platter with a Greek salad. Great portions. Also very Groupon friendly as they had a ,couple of offers. As I write this my only regret is not taking a picture and posting it. I smashed it all out is the reason. So if you're in the area, give this place a try .. you won't be disappointed. * Side note they do a lot of take out business during my observation. read more

All the reviews of the service and atmosphere are spot on. This place could use a serious makeover, but I guess if it suits the regulars... whatever. We hadnt visited Perry's in a long time and it was half-price burgers that got me interested this time. The burgers were ok, cooked to order and a nice Yuengling to wash it down. Made the mistake of ordering the Greek "sampler platter" and for a place that prides itself on homemade food, what was on the "home made" platter was actually lacking in just about everything that would identify with Greek cuisine. The dolmades were canned and reheated, spanakopita obviously held in the freezer and microwaved, and a pastitsio that was, well, disgusting. Presentation was horrible, they piled everything in a heap, I suppose to give unknowing locals the illusion that they're getting their money's worth. Probably the only redeeming thing on this platter was the cut up tomatoes and cucumbers. Your mileage may vary here, but take it from someone born and raised in Greece, if you're coming to sample the Greek menu. order a burger. On the plus side, I did make a off handed comment to the owner/nice lady in the lobby (after she asked how things were going) that the burgers were okay. She clearly saw that the appetizer platter was not going to be finished. After a while she came back and remarked that I had said the only the burgers were okay, what was wrong with the platter. So I laid into it, telling here what I thought. In a minute she came back with her husband/co-owner? and seemed to be sincere in fixing the problem. I got a free beer out of the deal, but I doubt they're going to fix the problem with the quality. I had been to Perry's a few years back and ordered the gyro, with a similar experience. I cant stand a place that advertises quality and delivers something less. I don't know what the other locals see in this place. read more

I went and picked up Perrys for dinner. I got the onion rings as an app and got the meatball sub with french fries. The meatball sub was good. It had gooey cheese, good amount of marinara sauce and the bread was soft. I usually get the meatball when I go. The onions were decent some were breaded and crispy, others were small and broke apart. I feel like there should have been more onion rings in the box. The fries were good and crispy. Overall the place is known for greek food which the times ive tried it i was unhappy with what i got, so i just stick to the meatball. I defintely reccomend people to try out this place, since the menu is pretty big and maybe you will have more success with the other menu items. read more

The local water hole for Odenton and I come here to watch our favorite cover band Oracle. The upper bar area where the stage and dance floor is located gets packed on Oracle night. I mean all the tables are taken and it's standing room only. It tends to be an older crowd , but downstairs is where the younger crowd was at a different bar. The prices of the drinks are average for the area and the servers are really friendly. Food is OK, I try to eat before coming here. If Oracle was not playing here I would probably not come back here. read more

Amazing food, great service and a real family type environment. Extremely laid back with great employees. Their lamb gyros are to die for along with stuffed mushrooms!! Yes, it's a dive bar, but aren't they trendy now? I love Perry's, for the food, the atmosphere, and the people. The food has always been good. We stopped in for a burger night...great bargain. They are half price on Wednesday nights. It was very good. Then someone recommended their prime rib. Well, that was awesome! Cooked just right (med rare). We love the waitresses and the bartenders. Everyone makes you feel welcome. We stayed for the band on a Friday night and really enjoyed ourselves. I am pretty sure we will become regulars. read more

A Greek restaurant that's been around since the 70s, must be good, right? The braised lamb with orzo was really bad, the lamb was so overcooked and the orzo tasteless. The Chicken Athenian was better, but the chicken was also way overcooked. Perhaps the place had better days years ago, but based upon our experience, it's not worth your time or money. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I would not eat here again if paid to do so. The service slow average of 15 min waits before getting drink refills. I ordered the pancakes for 7.50, the menu clearly says they are served with home fries, toast, jelly. I only got pacakes with my order. I asked one of the servers if it was supposed to come with the home fries and she said no they dont, the menu is wrong. So they need to update the menu or inform people what is really coming with their order. Like I said, long wait for drink refills, so I eventually asked for a pitcher to make it easier on the server and to keep me happy. I was charged the original 1.88 for my drink and an additional 7.00 for a pitcher, when I would have gotten free refills anyway. After took so long to get the check and for the server to pick it up, I decided I was going to say something. I asked a bus boy, the only person I could find if there was a manager. Wouldnt you know the server appeared out of thin air and asked what the problem was. I told her that I though it was ridiculous that I was paying full price for sometbing but only getting half. And that I was charged an additional 7.00 just to hsve soda there when I woild have gotten free refills anyway. The manager came over so i explained to him my problem, He said the menu does not say the pancakes come wth the sides, and after lookign at the menu he was yeah, I guess it does. Told me I was rude and that if I didn't want to pay for the pitcher I didn't have to order it and that "she would have gotten to me eventually" "He told me to get the fu## out." Said that if I didn't like it, I dont have to come back. This was all loud enough to be heard and seen by the entire bar, truly embarassing for me and my family. This was my first time here, we came for trivia which was nice and would have gone back again. The food was OK but the menu extensive enough that I would have been willing to come back and try something different. It's said because I have read alot of reviews about this place and it seemed really nice, apparently the originall owner died last spring and now it is being run by his two sons (one of the ones who yelled at me) and it doesn't seem like what it once was. I would not be surprised if this is where all this guys buddys go for a free drink. I should have learned after our first so-so experience, but this last time pretty much guarantees we will not be going back. We were 1 of 2 groups in the restaurant around dinner time. It was an extremely hot day outside (upper 90's) and this place had only limited air conditioning. Our waitress took our drinks and orders in a timely fashion. Little did we know, it would be the last time we'd see her for at least 1/2 an hour. Service: Pretty much nonexistent- 0/5. We sat patiently waiting at our table sipping our drinks. One by one each emptied (because it was pretty hot/stuffy in the restaurant), but no one came by to check on us. I had to go in search of someone to refill our drinks! Even after that, no sign of our waitress to apologize. The next time we saw her, she was visiting a nearby table that wasn't even hers! Food 2 or 3/5: My suggestion, stick with bar type food. They are much better at things that don't require a lot of skill/work/seasoning. The nachos were great, but their sides were sorely lacking. Green beans that taste like they came from a can and mashed potatoes from a box. No thank you! Decor: this place seems very outdated and in need of cleaning. Menu: Completely gross. It had stains all over it. With only a few people in the place, why not give out your best menus (or maybe they were the best...eww!). I felt like I needed to wash my hands after touching them. It seems like this place has a decent bar scene with a live band some days. I'd suggest skipping the restaurant entirely and setting up camp in the bar. Not a great experience for us. We should have know when we walked in and 1 other table was there. Our drinks didn't taste right they tasted like dish water. After we ordered our food we were just waiting and the waitress dropped a utensil on the floor, but then placed it on the table behind us. The hamburger ordered well done came out medium rare...the mayonnaise looked like it had been sitting out all day. To top it off after we got done, we were waiting for he check to come back noticed a dead bug in salt shaker....thankfully no one needed to use the salt. This is a review for just the restaurant side of Perry's. From the outside this place looks a little unusual. Their is a bar attached to it and I think there is another bar with Perry's itself. Food seems to be served in all areas but we sat in the "dining room". The dining room seems to be stuck somewhere between the 80's and the 90's. The walls are all painted with a greekish theme and although it's almost February there are still christmas decorations up. We went on a Friday around 5 and we were the only people in the dining room. That's typically not a good sign. It was fairly early so I didn't let that influence my expectations too much. We sat ourselves and were promptly seen by the waitress, I saw the waitress because there was only one and she was working both sides of the restaurant. To her credit she did a pretty good job of staying on our orders and keeping up with our water refills and what not but she definitely had to hustle to serve everyone. They have two menus, a greek and a traditional american food menu. We ordered everything off the greek menu. I ordered the braised octopus and my bride ordered the gyro. Unfortunately the calamari was pretty bland, it was served in a soup of tomatoes, celery, peppers. The saving grace was the gyro, it was actually pretty good. Much better than anything that we've had at any other "greek" place in the area. For the kids: This place was pretty good for the kids although I would stay away from the spaghetti and go for one of the other options as it was pretty runny and the sauce was more like a soup. The cool thing about their kids menu is that they serve breakfast all day so if your kids want some pancakes for dinner then they can have them. The dinner options also come with a sundae. :) Overall I really want to like this place but the plain jane menu options don't really do it for me. With that said I think I would go back. The customer service was really good and they catered to the kids pretty well, I'll just have to stick with the gyros. read more

Perry's is the kind of place you show up to once, and continue returning regularly because of the people who are there. Great people, great service, if you come enough, you will walk in and they already know what you want to order. They go out of their way to provide fantastic customer service. I've eaten numerous things here, and everything has been good, I don't recall eating anything that didn't taste good. In the evening, they always have fantastic entertainment. I would definitely recommend Perry's to everyone. read more

We all know this is not a 4 or 5 star restaurant, but in times past it has done OK for the value price. It's a rainy Monday night. We need decent food. We had the Calamari followed by the Chicken Parm. The Calamari was obviously previously frozen with a sub prime tomato sauce. The side order of green beans came out by itself 5 minutes before the entrees and was straight out of the can and chilled before we started the meal. The Parm was previously frozen chicken that was injected. The spaghetti was obviously microwave reheated with a minimal tomato sauce and the requested parmigiana cheese was dried and flavorless. The accompanying garlic bread had been under the broiler on only one side. Lastly the happy hour pricing is anything but a bargain, getting 25 to 50 cents off on drafts. What has happened here. It used to be better. The dining room appeared to be understaffed, (1 wait staff and 1 person pulled from the back room to help), but by 7 PM we were the only table present. I'm here to review Odies, the downstairs basement bar of Perry's. There is a separate parking lot in the back of Perrys that most use for going to Odies. It's a decent little dive bar for the Odenton area. Play on words I guess. The bartenders are always nice..especially if you're a girl.. and the drinks are cheap. There are a couple pool tables and a bunch of TVs. Since the renovation I guess they decided the more TVs the better and put multiple ones on each wall. It's actually a little ridiculous looking. A lot of kinda trashy girls, and sportsbar type dudes come in here and it can get pretty loud. You'll find a lot of locals here that everyone knows. I'd probably give it 2.5, nothing particularly bad just an average place if you're looking for cheap drinks in Odenton. read more

I've been going to this place for over a year. The service has been good and the food is great. The BLT is excellent with extra crispy bacon and wings are done with near nothing breading and also are crispy. It has a very neighborhood feel and great local crowd. The staff is attentive and takes care of customers. Strangely the only thing that disappoints me is the Greek food. Perhaps I've become accustomed to an Americanized version but the gravy smothered over stuffed grape leaves doesn't work for me. I prefer ingredients I can taste and I love grape leaves. read more

I was In The area for business and needed a quick lunch. This place is old and tired looking but the bartender was friendly and the food was comforting. I had the meatloaf lunch special and It was only $6. It was a nice slice of seasoned meat with two pieces of bread, gravy and mashed potatoes. It's unlikely I will find myself in this area again but I would definitely revisit. The place was much larger than I expected too. read more
