I've been coming here for years now and its my favorite place for bagels and breakfast sandwiches! My brother and I used to ride our bikes here thru the back streets of our neighborhood hop the fence every Saturday morning and bring my family a dozen bagels. I swear by their bagels always perfect and a little crunch on the outside with a soft center. They offer a pretty good variety to choose from everything to sesame to whole wheat and cinnamon raisin. The mini bagels are so cute as well. They have delicious cream cheese spreads like cinnamon raisin, and scallion just two of my favorites. Be warned that in the morning they get packed but they handle the line very well and get you in and on your way as soon as possible. The staff if very helpful and attentative. Hi my name is Lisa I was back there and October and it was incredible I walked in and I felt like I was back home I lived in New York for my whole life until I moved to Florida 30 something years ago and when I was there there was a nice young gentleman at the counter when I said that he's like okay this is hot that's hot this is fresh is it felt like home. While there are a number of bagel places along Route 17 South whenever we are wanting bagels we stop here as they are always very good. They are huge, soft inside but with just enough crunch on the outside, often still warm and delicious. They give a good amount of butter and/or cream cheese on your bagel and you can taste the freshness. Great coffee, great selection of drinks and great selection of pastries, etc. So happy they moved from their previous location that had such limited parking. And I often find its a quick in and out as they have a few servers taking care of the customers. read more

There is an Asian guy who works here who is very rude and unprofessional. As soon as you start speaking with him, he has a bad attitude and snaps at you if you try to order more that one thing at a time. Always fresh. Toasty on the outside soft on the inside. They bake the bagels there in smaller batches so something warm is always coming out. The other day I had my toddler in the car with me and he refused to get out. I ran inside quickly with the car locked an remote start running to keep the a/c on and my son safe, only to come in and find out they had no mini bagels but they said they were coming out in a minute. I literally threw my money at them, said bring 3 to my car and keep the change. They came out with three of the freshest, hottest, hot bagels ever! I just stopped in at Perry's Bagel Cafe. I didn't get to sample the food because the owner has a $10 minimum on credit card sales. I don't know if the owner realizes this but most people don't spend $10 on a bagel and a cup of coffee. I know there is a credit card transaction fee, but isn't there about $1.90 profit in a $2 cup of coffee? And has an employee ever pocketed a credit card receipt like they sometimes pocket cash? read more

Absolutely delicious. My husband is from Long Island and knows a good bagel. We've been back and forth between LI and NJ this summer and have been on the hunt for a great NJ bagel. Wonderful! My family and I have frequented hot bagels for years and it has been a staple for my family. We would often begin any road trip or weekend with a trip here to enjoy their bagels which are absolutely delicious and perfect in texture. I've been going here since I was young and to this day bring a dozen or so bagels to gatherings with family or close friends. Personally, I believe their breakfast sandwiches are better than their bagels. The staff is very helpful and quick, which I imagine is immensely helpful for those on their morning commutes. Place is sweltering hot with no AC. I ordered a simple bagel w sausage and egg and it took 15 min to make meanwhile people with more complicated larger orders were served first. Meanwhile the owner/manager just stood and watched without helping out a bit. Also, the fact that it is this day and age and they do not take credit cards is beyond me. There is an ATM on site so they are happy to collect fees from there. Not to happy about this visit. read more

Prices change daily. One day a bagel with butter is $1, the next day the exact same bagel with butter $1.75... Two days later the same order is $1.80. Set prices and stick to them! The service is adequate and they don't take anything other than cash, but the bagels are amazing. The tuna is also outstanding. My only nit-picking issue is they never put the bagel back together "correctly". It would make sense to put the top back on so it matches the bottom piece, like 2 puzzle pieces. It would help keep things like butter or cream cheese or tuna inside a little better, which means less napkins needed.
