He was the manager of a shop called fair price carpets that I worked for for several years. Then when I went on my own and became licensed, we worked together on many projects. I recently needed a room in my house carpeted. I picked out the carpet. They were charging me almost $3500 for the one room mostly because it was a very plush nice Carpet that I picked. When they installed it, it had very bad carpet crush, which is caused by a role sitting at the bottom of a pile for too long. It ends up permanently crushing the nap in certain parts of the role I was informed I would have to live on it for two months and have it professionally cleaned to try and fix the role crush instead of them replacing it as soon as they discovered it was no good. The room I was having carpeted is where my mother-in-law who has recently suffered from two strokes sleeps so every time somebody came to inspect the carpet or clean the carpet or replace the carpet I would have to make arrangements for her to go spend the night somewhere else and move all the furniture out of the room, and this is not counting the canceled appointments because they would schedule appointments even though they clearly knew they wouldn't be ready. The whole ordeal took close to four months and it really seems like nobody knows what they're doing since Dwayne's son took over Duane's son is a good enough guy I've known him for years, but I really must say I miss Duane a lot! And I will not be using carpets by Duane in the future or referring people to their company from now on

I had work done in 2022, 6 months after repair flooring started rippling again. I contacted Aaron again for him to blame us again, then he either blocked or ignored calls. Now almost 2 years after that incident, my son just had to take apart entire floor and replace it, then my daughters room did the same thing and we are replacing that room and throughout the hallway and 3rd bedroom its all rippling. The guys who installed the carpet, were a father and his son. His son stayed around for 2 hours, then left. I had a discussion with the father about installation, and one time he looked at me and said: "I hate this carpet!" I don't know what sparked him to say that, but it was in a voice as if he was ten years old. He finished the installation and I tipped him $15 (although I shouldn't have). The next day or so, I looked at the carpet and noticed a gap, so I called New Horizon and let them know. The person who answered the phone seemed surprised and said he would take care of it. He sent the same person back, who was angry. I showed him the gap, and he hit the carpet several times and emphatically told me: "That's the way it's supposed to be!" Then, as he was leaving, he looked at me and said in his immature angry voice: "I HATE this carpet!" I was glad to see him leave, and never wanted to see this guy again. Because the man at New Horizon sent that same immature guy back who threatened me and did a lousy job, made me distrust the company. He should have sent a manager back. He should have sent someone who was responsible and cared about the customer to fix the job. But he did not. He was complacent.
