We had a tricky flooring issue with about three and a half inches of drop in some areas and met with a few general contractors who mostly complained about how hard it would be. Robert actually took the time to understand the problem instead of trying to upsell us. What's even more concerning is that my mother, who also used Southland Carpet, is having the exact same problem in her home. We live in different cities--Murrieta and San Marcos--so this does not appear to be a coincidence or an isolated issue. When we contacted Southland Carpet, we were told the problem was not their responsibility. I stated that we should not be charged for an issue that appears to be related to installation and mentioned that I would be leaving a review. At that point, I was told that writing a review would be considered slander, which was both unprofessional and alarming. Do not use this company. Within a few years, your carpet may begin to lift, and when you call them for help, you may be dismissed and accused of slander instead of receiving support or accountability.
