We tried The Don and PAPAYA EN LA PLAYA. The Don is on the sweet side and the papaya en la playa is on the less sweet side but still that fruity taste. For the starters we did the ceviche and the blue crab tostada. Both 10/10. The tostada is a tad on the lemony side For the main dish we had the carne Asada and catch of the day. The steak was perfect great flavor but the salt added on at the top was a bit too much. The catch of the day was branzino it was really good the skin had a nice crunch to it the coconut sauce was good but more was needed. The fish comes by its self so ordered a side of rice and pink beans. Most of there dishes don't come with and side and to spend $42-$50 on a plate I should at least get some kind of side.

I noticed the menu was slightly different from a while ago. The shrimp with the tostones was amazing. The flavor of the juice was out of this world and paired perfectly together. The ambiance is also 'chic' and cute so very nice for dates, a night out with the girls, celebrating an event or birthday of course.

It's a loud and vibrant atmosphere. They have a pre-theater prefix menu which we decided on. Empanada app was 3 large empanadas and each one was flavored and yummy. Also opted for the guac and chips app just to have something a little lighter. Entrees are served with rice and beans. The pernil was excellent. Super tender and garlicky. The ropa vieja was also very good, with deep flavors. Dessert was the course that was disappointing, which was such a bummer after a great meal. The flan was definitely overcooked, so the texture was off. The cafe con keche was decent. The prefix is a great deal which included a drink and it was a lot of food All in all, Havana Central offers some wonderful Cuban flavors and a great choice for a pre-theater dinner. Everyone agreed with my suggestion to eat Latin American food and we made a reservation at Buena Vista, not far away from our hotel and also not far from the theater. We came over a bit early, around 5:15 and were immediately seated. We were immediately impressed by the business model. It is a melange of Latin American and Iberian faire with exquisite curation. Their cocktails were absolutely delightful, I had a Pantalones en Fuego, others had an exquisite margarita with passion fruit flavor and a Daiquirí de Fresa, just amazing. Then we ordered interminable Hors d'oeuvres. Their ham croquetas and mushroom croquetas were the rage, as well as the tostoncillos ibéricos and ceviche limeño, The main courses followed, a paella valenciana for two, the magret de pato, a delicious duck dish, and a grilled Argentine parrilla. Not bad for four people. Dessert included churros and tres leches. And of course, a bottle of a great Verdejo. Service was just flawless. We had several staff members all contributing to making our Father's Day evening special. All around us it was festive, with plenty of well dressed Spanish speakers in several tables, and the accents of a half a dozen Spanish speaking countries. Plenty of gringoes too. A beautiful collection of diversity. We left happy, ready to see "Oh Mary" and wanting to return

We got their mixed ceviche to start, which was very onion heavy, but overall the seafood was tender and good. For mains, we tried the lomo saltado, chicken Chop suey, and aji de gallina. While I liked the lomo saltado, the aji de gallina was my favorite - the chicken was incredibly flavorful, and the yellow rice and yuca fries were divine. I would skip on the cilantro rice, as I found it a bit dry. The chop suey dish also fell a bit flat for me. I would definitely come back for their lunch specials and aji de gallina!

I've been coming here for over 10 years, but after visiting twice in the past two weeks and once a few months ago, I've unfortunately been increasingly disappointed. The food and service just aren't what they used to be, while the prices have continued to go up. A few months ago, my paella, which I've ordered many times over the years, tasted off. I didn't say anything then because I figured it was just an off night. But then two weeks ago, my kids and I were served fried wontons that were raw/semi-raw inside. They did take them off the bill, but unfortunately we had each already eaten one before realizing. On our most recent visit last week, we sat for about 10 minutes before we had to get someone's attention to come over to us. We put our apps in and then nobody came back to take our order until the apps were coming out. The girl who brought our drinks had the wrong drinks. My soup was completely forgotten, and my son's food didn't come out with the rest of our meals. He ended up eating some of mine while waiting, and by the time his sides finally came, he didn't even want them anymore. The fried wontons on this visit were absolutely fine though and the food was delicious. I genuinely hate leaving three stars for this because this has been a favorite of mine for so many years, and I have a lot of good memories here. But after several disappointing visits in a row, it's becoming harder to overlook the decline in both quality and service. The servers used to be very attentive and friendly. I really hope things improve because I'd love to enjoy this place the way I used to.

I was surprised (in a good way) that a fork, knife and spoon was automatically provided. Most restaurants only place a fork and knife on the table and I always have to request a spoon with my meal. This tissi had beautifully charred skin and tender, white meat. It was love at first bite. The chunk meat is fairly large and it will make a great leftover meal for the next day. As a bonus, a tall pitcher of complimentary chilled water is provided. This location only accepts cash, so please plan accordingly. As I was leaving, I unintentionally left a personal belonging on the restaurant table. My server stepped outside the restaurant and brought me my item. This is one of my better dining experiences from start to finish; the chef and servers clearly go above and beyond. #casaadela #halfrotisseriechicken

All the ingredients combined together to make for delicious bites. The Steak was made with onion, and came with a nice, fresh, crunchy salad, along with choice of side. We went for the Maduros. Steak was delightfully juicy, while Maduros were soft and slightly caramelized. Service was solid. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everything came out in a timely manner. The seating was comfortable, making it an easy place to sit and enjoy the meal. I ordered the pernil, and the skin was, dare I say, perfect... crispy, flavorful, exactly what you want. Unfortunately, the meat itself was pretty lean and ended up a bit dry. The maduros were a bigger letdown; when I had them before, they were ripe and sweet, but this time they came out dry as hell. I sent them back, and to their credit, they took them off the bill without any issue. My friend enjoyed his Cuban panini, and while the pork chicharrón had a few off pieces, it was decent overall. So overall, I'd say this place can be really good, but there's definitely a consistency issue. When they get it right, it's excellent; it just doesn't seem to be that way every time.
