    Pork chop and grandules.

This food was absolutely amazing!! I loved the energy, authenticity, and vibe of this location. I ordered the pork chop with grandules and it was delicious! Great service, amazing food, and all vibes.

We had mofongo and a lunch bistek meal. Everything was cooked well and had excellent seasoning. The plantain maduros were especially good. The arepitas con ropa vieja were a highlight for sure. It was a Sunday early afternoon and was pretty quiet. Service was as good...no issues at all. Lunch prices and portions are very good.

I came with a group of friends early Friday. We had to wait a few more minutes because they were still not ready despite it being open time. We waited and were seated 8 minutes past the time. Staff seemed friendly but we had to keep asking for service even though there was no one yet or after a few more customers arrived. They had to clean our table and still mopped the floors. I was surprised that if they open at 2 pm, they don't arrived 1-2 hours prior to prep. There was a weird smell outside and inside. We thought it could have been NYC Sewer. So do t want to blame them. Ok now to the food. We had the Pernil Mofongo, pepper steak, alcapurrias, arepas with pernil, and chicharrón de pollo. Food was amazing we got a ton of food. So although they are pricy, it's valuable for the food and location. Everything tasted and looked great. Beer was not as cold but we were happy to see they had draft options and various Hispanic selections. They did overcharged us but corrected the bill as soon as we told them. They were nice about it.

Came to NY for the weekend and I went to look for good mofongo and I came across this restaurant on instagram. Great food and the waitress was very sweet. I recommend their mofongo con churrasco. I also tried their lychee martinez which was strong but very tasty. Would definitely come back

I'm on the fence still with this place. I want to give it 3 stars but then I'm like I like the atmosphere and I LOVE that they have $6 sangria all day and all night on the weekends. I had always wanted to check this spot out for that singular reason alone. We had stepped in here for a beer once eons ago on a week night. Popped in about two weeks ago and it was kind of crowded but not overly and we were about to sit down at the bar but the bartender and waitstaff said it was reserved and that all of the tables were going to be filled and reserved as well even though they were empty and there were like 4-5 empty seats at the bar. It was such a strange situation and I didn't ask questions. I was just dumbfounded and at a loss for words and walked out and went somewhere else nearby. Came back this past weekend and didn't have the same issue thankfully. We both enjoyed the red sangria. It packs a kick! No wonder it's a popular spot. They do play Latin music a little loud. The food is a little over-priced with having $30 something entrees (haven't tried it yet) but it is an eclectic menu of various interesting sounding dishes from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, etc. Will definitely check them out again!

Visited on a Friday evening around 6pm. Conveniently located right near the train station. Waitress was very attentive but almost to the point where we felt a little rushed. I had a virgin pina colada (dry January) which is not pictured-- however I really enjoyed it! The pepper steak was tender and delicious and so was the Mofongo. Such a cute place with good music. It was getting more packed around 7:30/8 so you may want to make a reservation if you're coming later in the evening.

Im not going to lie I'm really on the fence with this place. The food was yummy enough and the drinks were strong but the overwhelming smell of dirty mop was so bad that my mom couldnt even finish her meal because she wanted to gag Service was a 4/5 very nice staff and friendly even though the drinks took foreverrrr to come. Maybe Sunday afternoon just isn't their best time. The prices were 5/5: I love going to a place and getting a good value Food: 3/5: Not bad but just ok. The drinks 4/5 they were good but the chocolate drink tasted weird but it was strong so atleast it did the job. Overall a decent outing that would've been better if the hygiene was where it was supposed to be.

They advertised this restaurant in instagram. Glad I was able to try this place. The place was cute and inviting. Felt like I was in Puerto Rico. The food was off the hook really tasty. The lychee Martinez was delicious. Their food /cocktails presentation was that caught my eye. Exceptional service from the beginning to the end. Definitely recommend and will come back. Nice decor too

Our Server, Ramon, did an exceptional job. The staff did a great job at clearing finished items and everyone's timing was spot on. We started with the Tostones Rellenos con picadillo (Green plantains stuffed with ground beef). This was a great starter. Large enough to share and I enjoyed the drizzled sweet sauce and whole olives. Our entrees were: Palomilla Steak Platter (thin cut sirloin steak) and the Ropa Vieja (shredded flank steak). Both dishes were accompanied by white rice and we chose black beans and a side salad. This was the first time that I've seen Palomilla Steak presented totally cut into strips and it was a welcomed sight. The Ropa Vieja was perfectly seasoned and the amount of meat was thoroughly enjoyed. I capped off the meal with a Cortadito (A cortado is a Spanish coffee beverage consisting of equal parts espresso and warm, lightly steamed milk. The name comes from the Spanish verb cortar (to cut), meaning the milk "cuts" the acidity and intensity of the espresso. I appreciated the cookie on the side and each sip was amazing. The first thing placed on the table was their famous aji verde, the vibrant green sauce. I couldn't resist dipping my fork in for a taste--spicy, fresh, and absolutely addictive. We ordered a spread that truly showcased the menu: Mama Juanita's rotisserie chicken, perfectly seasoned and juicy; corvina; and a ceviche mixto loaded with shrimp, octopus, calamari, red onions, cilantro, rocoto pepper, and lime juice. It was so refreshing and flavorful that I found myself spooning up every last drop of the citrusy marinade. The lomo saltado was another standout--a savory Peruvian stir-fry with marinated strips of beef, served alongside crispy fries. We also added a side of maduros, their sweetness balancing the meal beautifully. The ambiance was casual, comfortable, and simple, with unique walls decorated in intertwined tree branches that added a rustic touch. The service matched the food--our waiter, the busboy, and the manager were all attentive, engaging, and genuinely friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Dessert was Tres Leches Cake. One bite in, and it basically melts in your mouth- no chewing required. It's sweet, soggy and by the end, you're not sure if you ate cake... or drank it--but either way, no regrets. Overall, it was a memorable meal full of bold flavors, great company, and warm hospitality.

Walked into Margon Restaurant in Midtown and instantly felt like I found one of NYC's secret cheat codes. Small space, big flavors, zero nonsense. The kind of place where you're elbow-to-elbow with strangers but everyone's united by one thing... serious hunger. Ordered the Cuban sandwich -- pressed, crispy, loaded with roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. One bite in and I stopped talking... which never happens. This thing didn't just deliver... it showed up early and over-prepared. Then came La Bandera Dominicana Braised beef swimming in savory gravy, yellow rice piled like a mountain, black beans doing their thing, and sweet maduros sitting on top like the victory flag.
