Great service! Great food! Definitely will be back. I am a fan of their breakfast items.

Over the years this location has declined quite a bit. Usually one aspect is great like service and others not so much. This trip the server was very poor. No offer for refills- drinks took over 5 minutes to get to us. Food was late and kids meal plate was scorched. So it sat under heat lamp too long and then plate served to a child hot enough to burn. Horrible. No apologies offered No excuses presented. Just a job to server - and made it a terrible visit. Hostess was great and deserves some credit. read more

My review is for this location only and I would give this place closer 3.5 stars if I could. We decided to try this place for breakfast. We arrived a little before nine on a Sunday morning. I was expecting it to be more crowded, but there were only a few occupied tables in the dining area. We were greeted and seated promptly. Food was pretty standard, your typical diner fare. I ordered the Country Fried Steak & Eggs (gravy on the side, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and sourdough toast). The steak was a little on the salty side for me. I did however appreciate that they offered sourdough bread as a toast option. Service was adequate, casual, but friendly. Parking was easy and convenient because they have their own parking lot. The restaurant was also pretty accessible considering it is located along a busy road. Overall a pretty good place for a casual meal. read more

I came in on 1/29/25 around 10:15am and sat in Tracy S (31) section. I was dining alone and was greeted by her with a smile and easy going personality. She is what you call a jack of all trades. She took orders for the 5 tables that came in about the same time as me. Seated several folks that came in and brought the meals promptly and asked is we needed any else. Now this is something a lot of wait staff do at other establishments, but to me she just seemed to make you feel comfortable and did things with ease. If you are lucky enough to sit in her section you will not have be disappointed. read more

A great place for a good meal and a great piece of pie. If you're old enough (we are!), the over 55 menu is a great deal. The Country Fried Steak was delicious, and the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie is even more so. Service was good, parking was plentiful, and overall it was a great experience. The closest thing we have to 'a Diner' in our area. Prompt and friendly service. Sometimes a little chilly inside, so you might want to bring a light jacket. It's great that you can get breakfast anytime....I really like that. All the food was prepared to order. The Brioche French Toast is the best! Since I can never decide on breakfast or dinner, the Breakfast Burger fits me well. And, it tastes great! My wife's Shrimp pasta dish was also very tasty. Don't forget to leave room for dessert. To start things she spilt some water on me. I'm thinking ok idc it's just water but little did I know... waiting half an hour for her to come over so we can order! The food took an hour to come for 3 of us with basic orders. She never came over in the hour of waiting for our food when all of us needed refills. she forgot silverware and syrup(we had to remind her). I was in Wisconsin for a military training and I was granted the opportunity to leave base to drop someone off at the airport. It was early in the morning so I decided to stop by somewhere afterwards to get some breakfast. This restaurant popped up and I decided to check it out. I arrived before they opened so I was able to catch some Zzz's before eating. The place is great and I was actually unaware if wether or not they even served breakfast. Turns out they serve some of the best breakfast I've had. The staff is really nice and attentive. The location is well maintained and the food quality is great. I ordered me some biscuits and gravy which were very delicious. The coffee was delicious to the point where I didn't even need much cream & sugar. Took them 10 minutes to seat us and 4 people walked by us and looked at us. Booth was not clean. When I asked them to wash it the manager just glared at me and only wiped what was dirty not the whole table (which it needed the whole table washed.) Waitress brought us water and coffee cups but no coffee, didn't talk or say it was brewing. It took 10 minutes to get drinks. I had to get up 3 times to get something done. Asked for extras napkins and she forgot so had to ask again. The coffee carafe is so dirty and used on the outside I wanted to puke. Didn't ask how our food was and or if we needed a Togo box. NO! DON'T DO IT! Waited 60+ minutes (after ordering) for the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. Salad tasted like they picked out rotting something - could not eat. I had no idea it was possible to screw-up green beans, but somehow... The turkey slices were stacked in top of one another as if slithered out of the package, heated in a microwave, and drizzled with about a tablespoon of gravy - that, too, was thoroughly unappetizing. No cranberry sauce. The caramel apple pie wasn't sliced and put on the plate - it was spooned like a peach cobbler. The waitress was rude and really didn't give a darn that we were there. I waited over 20 minutes to be seated, even though there were plenty of empty tables. There were enough waitresses, but seemingly no hostess. So the wait staff was working very hard, but all of them were too busy to get me to a table. Anything you want ... well, almost. Any time you want ... well, almost. Good food, good prices, clean setting, attentive staff, great coffee. Desserts are pretty good too. Prices are moderate, not too high but not low, for sure. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your enemies. You can make them sit in the other room. We have been to this location several times. This is the first time we had been treated so poorly. My partner and I enjoy coming here for breakfast from time to time, but this time around we decided to eat dinner here. When we walked in, we were not greeted right away. We just stood there and the manager was on the phone and even made contact with us. The restaurant was pretty dead mind you. Then a waitress walks out from the kitchen area and was hesitant to let us choose where we wanted to sit. Now, I understand the manager was on the phone, but don't make us stand there without greeting us, and at LEAST you could tell us you would be right with us, but she neglected to say anything. The waitress walked away from us, so we just went and sat in the side area. We were annoyed to say the least. The manager seemed like she had an attitude. She said, "just to let you know...there is a big party coming in here at 6pm." We thought to ourselves, fine, because we had somewhere to be by 6, but sometimes managers say that so none of the other customers sat in the area where we were and that we would hurry up and leave. I don't appreciate such treatment. We both ordered honey mustard chicken salads, and when I had asked for an extra side of honey mustard, the must came to the table slopped everywhere. I used to love this location, but after this treatment it was pretty upsetting. The other lady manager we normally see is always pleasant, but the one that worked on the Feb 21, 19...was subtlely rude. I'd rather you tell me we can't sit in an area rather than lie and say you have a big party coming in. I'm hoping that the customer service improves. It sucks that this experience has now left us with a sour taste in our mouths. Also, my lettuce wasn't that good. There were some pieces that were old and disgusting.....such a shame. I normally tip well, but since we had this experience, and the manager was basically our waitress, I did not leave a tip. Managers can't accept tips, and if she was the one serving, then who am I really giving it to? We don't know if we will go back after this, and that is sad. Friday, Aug 14, 10 AM. Mother, sister and myself. Worst service ever. Ordered, food delivered, did not notice 3 sausage links and 3 bacon were not there, toast burned black. Waitress retrieved better toast but had a copious amount of butter. After a few minutes of expecting the sausage and bacon, had to ask for it from another employee since our waitress never came back. My first time at Perkins was super good! We arrived around lunchtime so it was a little busy, but the service really made up for the wait. Our waitress was quick and excellent. It was really difficult to choose what to order because all the food looked delicious. I was not disappointed with what I ordered when it came out either. We came from Atlanta to get eat breakfast here and the manager/waitress told my sister that her son that has autism had to turn down his volume of his device because he had to be respectful for the other customers and my sister explain to him that he needed to have his volume on because he was autistic and he was going to make a lot of noise and manager/waitress said didn't say he couldn't be in the restaurant but his volume couldn't be on. Let me start by saying this; I love Perkins. Seriously. Whenever I travel to Wisconsin or Minnesota for work, I eat breakfast at Perkins at least twice. However, this one sucks. How hard is it to tell the difference between French silk and coconut cream? Answer: not hard!!! You had one job! And now I'm stuck with a piece of disgusting coconut cream while a wonderful piece of sweet, smooth, delicious French silk sits lonely in the cooler with tubs of butter and pancake syrup. Of the two Perkins restaurants in the La Crosse area, this is definitely the one to go to. The service is usually good and the store is clean. The menu is the same pretty much every one you go to, so I can't really comment on that being different. But the food is consistently good. read more

On a holiday your looking at maybe a 30-45 minute wait where they said "15-20 minutes". The waitress also said a 50 minute ticket instead of an hour 15. Overall your looking at between an hour and two hours just to sit down and get your food. Which is horrible when you just want food. read more

I stopped in late this morning and had the best breakfast I've had in a long time. The service was excellent and the food cooked perfectly. I usually do not eat at 'chain' restaurants for breakfast, usually prefer small diners privately owned. I was so impressed and I will definitely be returning.
