I don't get what you are trying to prove by running your wait staff like dogs. Today was the first time we had to wait to be seated, that's a first for us especially when we are there every week. And now you have to pay at the table do you realize a lot of older adults don't have cards they use cash old school. And now the wait staff have to carry there own change to pay the customers and at the end of there shift they have to pay Perkins. That's bullshit they don't make that much and now they have to use their hard owned money to give change to customers. We are not eating at casinos we are at a restaurant, you keep doing what you are doing people are no longer going to come because of what you are doing. The customer should not be told when they go to the front you have to go back to your table to pay. Are you trying to eliminate all your staff those women come there do to there best job and now you expect more out of them, they don't know if they're coming or going that is not right. This is 2026 we are suppose to make it easier for people not treat them let they are less, for doing their job. Things better change for the ones that come there every day to do their job and they're treated so badly. Because if things don't change you won't have to worry about anybody coming to the establishment anymore. read more

Stephanie was very kind- she knew the menu and it showed like she wanted to be there! Wonderful service! Hot food!

First thing they tell us is that equipment is down and the wait is 45 minutes. Ok... things happen. No biggie. We waited the 45 minutes..... for undercooked pancakes! It was the new Flipped stuffed pancake thingy so it's not like they could just throw the pancakes back on the grill for 2 minutes. I didn't want to wait 45 minutes for a new dish. The server was extremely nice the whole time and gave us a discount for the wait. read more

Super fkin amazing!! Phil was hands down the best server ever (definitely more than a server to us) and the manager? (didn't grab her name but she was super sweet!! read more

Met family here for the holidays and after eating I went in the women's restroom and wished I'd never ate! Mice crap in corners and in the stalls on the floor!! Totally disgusting and filthy! If there is mice crap in the bathrooms then don't tell me it's not in the kitchen!! Makes me I'll to think about it! Shame on you Perkins!! read more

Went in with my Sister this morning around 7am, the hostess never greeted us just how many follow me!! Unfriendly frowning that way to everyone! The waitress was nice but scattered & not effective! Waited for water 15 minutes, coffee warm NOT hot! Food was medium at best, so dissipating! read more

Stopped by for breakfast with a party of 2. We were seated right away. Our waitress was super friendly, she checked on us often. I ordered the Hearty Breakfast and boy it was a lot of food. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. read more

I had breakfast here before I started my day for work. I had the hearty breakfast which came out good, but they gave me pancakes when I stated I wanted wheat toast. That right there I already knew my server was not gonna be a good one. I asked for hot sauce, and she asked if I wanted chalula or Tabasco. I said Tabasco, then she brings me chalula....smh. now that's twice already she messed up. Then lastly we get our bill and she charged me for a soda when I had only water. Now that's 3 times she f'd up. All in all the food is good as any other Perkins I've been to, but the server... Lisa... just doesn't seem to pay attention on what you're ordering or anything your asking for. So this is the reason for my 3 stars. read more

First impression, I was taken back by the sign in process. The hostess did not welcome us in and was very cold to us. She proceeded to tell us to sign in and then grabbed menus and walked away. I was stunned and confused. When she looked back I asked "were we supposed to follow you?" And she coldly responded "yeah, I told you to follow me." My mom and I were stunned at her reaction as we were quiet the entire time and the hostess had definitely NOT told us to follow her. Regardless, after that weird/uncomfortable interaction, our waitress was super nice and checked in on us regularly. The breakfast was good for the price! read more

Stopped in to order take-out. Nice friendly man (Jeremy, I think) at the counter started to take my large order when 2 senior ladies came up to pay their bill with a large bill. Jeremy had a young female worker finish my order so he could make change for their large bill but not enough correct bills in his till . Told his co-worker she had to cancel my order (was ok since she needed help to ring up one of my special items) so he could make change out that drawer. Then MANY people started coming in i.e. party of 5, 2 and 3 etc. He quickly seated the large party and had co-worker finish that so he could finish helping me. I know a lot of people would have been upset by this time. I'm over 75 and have to use a cane so had to lean on counter. I know everywhere I go, there is a shortage of help AND help wanted signs displayed EVERYWHERE so I am grateful these workers are here today and to help me with my large order to go! What I don't get and have no patience for is that OTHER PATRONS are so concerned about me, me, me that they don't know what is going on out in the world. I eat out a lot and at a lot of different places. If the workers are nice, respectful and trying their best with what they have to work with, why should the customer take the 'time' it takes out on the restaurant. So you wait longer? Look around you. I once saw a young man have to wait on an entire dining room by himself! I'll bet he wanted to quit and get away from all the grumpy customers. This is a sign of the times and has been since covid began....I have come to think less of the patrons who complain than of the restaurant and their employees. Especially those rude people who cuss and belittle a worker in front of everyone or at a drive-up window. REALLY? who brought you up? To those 'perfect' people, I say, if you want perfect service and perfect outcomes, please stay home and take care of yourself!!!!! read more

I really want to give them more stars, but Perkins is not what they used to be. Service was terrible on a Friday afternoon for lunch. No one greeted us and we waited over 10 minutes before anyone showed us to a table. Our server was kind but so very slow. We knew what we wanted to order but she only took our drink orders and said she'd be back. Drinks took forever and then she disappeared. I will say the salads we ordered for lunch were delicious and plentiful! My mom and I loved them! But we ordered a donut to share for dessert and it tasted like it was multiple days old. Perkins bakery items have just really gone down in quality. read more

Slowest service anywhere, food was cold, waitress didn't want to be there and it showed, food was barely edible

Stopped for dinner and had the salmon. It was not very good. First of all is was over cooked. Second it had no flavor. I can see how this got a 2 star rating. read more

Very disappointing visit. I am part of a decorated military veteran family. We and many of our friends are conservatives. Upon a recent visit to your store one morning for brunch the on duty manager stood next to another table for more than15 minutes (in 2 spurts of 7-10 minutes each) and berated the president, Trump supporters and conservatives as a whole. While this WAS part of him agreeing with the conversation he was legitimately having with the patrons at the table, he made it crystal clear he was very much against the president, conservatives and the practices of both. Those at the table felt very alienated and unwelcome by this manager. I respect your views, as an individual, they're yours to have. I respect you wanting to chat with your guests. That's the right thing to do. But 15-20 minutes of loudly talking about controversial topics that alienate other guests? That I don't support. Our table of 4 was sorely disappointed with this behavior. I've recently moved to the area and I don't know that I'll be back to this location after this showing of unwelcoming and unprofessional behavior. Please use this as a teachable moment. read more

Well tonight I went and spent $13 on a sandwich. It was supposed to have all the bread toasted. It was not. Changes the recipe changes the taste. They gave me a muffin in return most of my sandwich was left on the plate. I give them a one star. One free muffin doesn't cover a trashed 13.00 sandwich recipe. read more

I read the previous poor reviews and almost went elsewhere but thought I would try it. I ordered the Mediterranean omelette and it was good but not hot, just warm at best. After finishing my breakfast I ordered 36 muffins to take to work. The service was good and overall a decent experience. read more

Great service. We stopped in for breakfast. We told the waitress we were splitting our meal and she had the cook put one meal on two plates. Very pleased with the service here in the morning. We have been here in the afternoon and it is usually as good, but mornings are always good here. read more

I had a scrambled eggs dish with diced ham and cheddar cheese. The cook was pretty stingy with both the cheese and the diced ham. There was an equally small portion of hash browns along side. My waitress was sweet and attentive but smelled strongly of cigarettes. She was disgusting. The crappy meal and the stench of the waitress made for a horrible experience. read more

We were very disappointed at this Perkins. There was only one server for the entire restaurant. Our food was cold and the hash browns very greasy. We always loved Perkins in the past, but this will be our last time going to one. read more

Crappy service as always at this Perkins. I hate hearing someone say I was double sat with a 15 top. That's the reason I haven't been to your table in 25 mins to get your drink order. Then proceed to tell all of her tables the same thing. Took over an hour and a half to get our food. If it wasn't for the kids being hungry we would have left. I have been here four times and the service is always horrible. Never combing back... read more

What is this world coming to. No masks no service yet couldn't provide mask at entry. Denied breakfast. Lost our business.

the waiter didn't serve us for like 30 minutes and we have watched them sit there in a booth for the hole time

I tried to Order from buffalo mn perkins they told me they were to busy. We went to the Monticello mn Perkins and were seated and served very quickly. The waitress was very on top of her game and the food was cooked right. I will go to this Perkins again. Will never ever go to buffalo mn Perkins or order from them ever. read more

If I could give a no star I would. Ordered chocolate milk and it was warm and I also ordered water but she didn't even bring it until I got her attention. We told her she forgot it and she responded with "Oh"... it would have been courteous to apologize. We have been sitting here for 50 minutes waiting on our food sat down at 11:15 and got our food at 12:05.. and my friend has been waiting on her refill for 20 minutes at this point. I understand Perkins is busy most of the time but there isn't that many people here right now so I don't understand why it has taken so long. When we got our food it wasn't even done correctly.. was disgusting. Not pleased and will never come back read more

Wouldn't seat us without letting us know it would be at least a 30-45 minute to get food. Unacceptable in my opinion.

The food is good. I have been here many times and I am always very disappointed in the service! Very unprofessional and not attentive! 3 out of the 5 times I was here...I had to get up and ask the hostess for a refill, napkins, bill etc... read more

I'm giving this 2 1/2 stars. I've never been to a Perkins before. It's nice on the inside with plenty of parking. Went for breakfast. Server was friendly and attentive. Food came out fast but it wasn't that great tasting. Scrambled eggs looked like powdered eggs and the hash browns tasted soapy. It was weird. I'd stick with pancakes if I ever go back. I prefer Cornerstone but they weren't open till 10:30. It was just ok. read more

This is not worth waiting for. I stopped with my grandkids for a "quick" lunch. It was not crowded. We waited for menus, waited to order, waited for food. Asked 3 staff for ketchup and after 15 minutes, found it myself on a rack. Waited for our bill. Mentioned the long wait and poor service when we paid. No apology. I can wait to go back. read more

The first time I dined at the Monticello Perkins was about two years and I swore I would never go back. The staff was rude, the service slow, the food sub-par. Last year it was closed for renovation and I thought nothing of it. Then a holiday rolled around and everything else was closed. Everything. So we stopped in and I am glad we did! The new staff is friendly and the service is quick. The food is good and served at the temperature it is meant to be. And the frickles (fried pickles) are so good I could eat them until I was sick! If you tried this Perkins a while back and had the same experience I did, I would say give them another shot. read more

It took me over an hour to get my food, and it's not even that good. I'd rather go to McDonald's or Burger King then Perkins.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning with a friend who drove from out of town. We get that it was a Saturday and busy, but we got a late start to our day so it was between breakfast and lunch.. we could have gone anywhere else in town, but we both wanted breakfast. We were patient in being seated and greeted for the first time from our waitress. We both ordered a juice and water. She brought them back to the table for us but didn't bring straws we had to ask. And not only that, but on of our water glasses had lipstick on it. We don't wear lipstick. Our waitress hardly acknowledged us so we couldn't even bring it to her attention.. there was several tables seated after us, ordered after us, and got their food before us.. by the time our food came it was cold, she never once came back to check on us after our food was delivered. She also brought our check right away after our food. Where as the tables around us that she was helping she checked back with them and waiting until they looked like they were slowing down to bring them their check.. I have never had such terrible service. And we felt very discriminated yes we may look younger, but that doesn't mean you can give your guests less attention and treat them terribly.. needless to say there was not a very good tip involved. I am not the type of person to tip poorly either, but if I don't get the service that they are giving to everyone else, you are not getting a tip from me like everyone else.. we both even filled out the survey and at the end where it says please contact me we said yes to it.. it said you will get a reply within 48 hours... never heard anything back! If I could actually give this a zero star rating I would. read more
