Ok so I like it there a ton and I would definitely give 5 stars. The food is great and the vibes are good. However I am younger and I am friends and I know most of the people that work there. This is nothing new, but it has gotten worse. I will not name anyone but management and the owner find small things or just completely make up stories so they can yell at mostly the minor female employees. Don't believe me? Well, if you guys make this a big deal I'll explain in detail somewhere else. It's disgusting and I was notified today that it got worse. Thanks. We got into town late and we were looking for something that would be quick, easy and offered a variety of things to eat. Typical pizza ranch, wish they had a couple more salad dressings for the salad buffet. The salad portion was well maintained and super fresh. Service was good, no better than good, it was GREAT!!! Best pizza ranch out of all of them are in monticello. Love all the variety and they will custom make any pizza that you want. The Monticello pizza ranch also has chicken that's amazing and a salad bar to die for. read more

This is an exceptional pizza buffet; a good replacement for what Pizza Hut lunch buffets were in the 90's and several steps above Cici's for a price that's worth it. They also have an ice cream machine so there is no one to stop you from making a root beer float with the self serve fountain soda. First time visitor this week, was very pleasantly surprised! Allison who was at the front register when we arrived was super friendly and welcoming, and all the others working were just as friendly. Food was really fresh and good, we had the tomato pepper soup, salad, pizza, mashed potatoes and chicken, and cactus bread desert. It's a pizza buffet, it ain't gourmet dining. That said, the pizza is better than you get at many pizza buffets. (Is it any wonder why Cici's Pizza bailed out of MInnesota?) They usually have a great variety to choose from, too, not just a few single-ingredient selections. They have a great selection of sides to go with their chicken, which I appreciate. I have been to this location a few times, and this location is my gold standard for service and selection. I've been to at least four different locations in Minnesota during the past few years, and the Monticello location is my favorite. (Alexandria and Waconia are tied as a close second, New Ulm was a notch below the three of them.) read more

This is one of our kids favorite places to eat! You can't go wrong with the pizza buffet. The serve a wide variety of pizza from your plain sausage pepperoni to buffalo chicken or bacon cheeseburger pizza and the pizza is very good. They also have a salad bar, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, along with other things { I just fill up on the pizza}. The price is reasonable and the price for children depends upon their age. It is a very popular place in the area. read more

I know it's called Pizza Ranch but I LOVE the fried chicken. It's one of those final meal choices. If I had to choose my last meal on this earth it would be fried chicken and does PR ever get it right. Crispy, with not too much breading, the white meat is super juicy which is hard to do a lot of the time. The pizza is decent as well but for this guy fried chicken is the number one item here. Went on a Wed. It was a fundraiser for a football team. Lots of young football players running around while a few bussed tables. It was ridiculously loud and obnoxious. Trying to enjoy our meal with that amount of chaos. I blame the supervising adults more than Pizza Ranch. This place does appeal to families with kids so there is a lot of noise. I love kids. I work at a school so I'd like to have a relaxing din din. I need to remember this for next time and go for lunch only. Just bear that in mind if you're looking for a quiet meal. read more

We stopped for lunch and they took great care of us. You can order specific pizzas and ours were both misread in the kitchen. The manager noticed, corrected it and brought the right pizzas to us. She boxed up what we didn't finish for us to take home. She was great! Good selection at the salad bar too. We're liking this place more and more for a casual, quick lunch. All the pizzas were terrible-either over-cooked or bland. Even the soup and cheese bread were awful! Asked for a specialty pizza...in the hour we were there, asked 3 times about our order-the last time we asked, the manager promised it was "in the oven". 15 minutes later he reappeared to say "the pizza isn't coming-we aren't going to make it-but here's two coupons for a free adult buffet". The food is good. The pizza is good. The chicken is great....Keep reading...BUT if you plan on eating the buffet, make sure you bring something along to clean your own plates. if you actually feel your plate before you put food on it, you will feel a film of crusty food due to the plates not being properly cleaned.
