I always hesitate to give a bad review as I know each restaurant represents someone livelihood, but this was a singularly bad experience that I'm pretty sure gave me food poisioning. I came in and saw they had lunch specials, including one that said ANY sandwich and a drink. I went to order and was told that the sandwich I wanted was not part of the lunch special, despite the special saying it includes, quite literally, any sandwich. Okay, not great, but whatever. I sat down at what felt like a table leftover from a fast food restaurant circa 1999 and waited for my food. When it came I noticed the chicken sandwich was more batter than chicken and the fries had an overly greasy feel, like they'd been sitting too long in the air fryer. The sauce on the chicken was flavorful but the fries left such a bad taste in my mouth that I had to brush my teeth immediately after eating. Everything on the menu sounded good and I couldn't decide, but I ended up getting the chicken over rice combo that comes with fries and a salad. Very very tasty. The chicken was flavorful and the peri peri sauce was so good. They also threw in a delicious garlic sauce on the side. From ordering it took about 10 mins until it was ready. This is one of our go to spots when we want a quick smashburger. The burgers are solid every time and the fries are really good, that extra crispy outside kind that actually stays crunchy. The chicken platter is great too when we want something a little bigger to share. There's a decent amount of booth seating inside plus a few tables outside if you want some air. Drinks are just in the fridge so you can grab whatever you want. Food comes out on paper plates when you dine in which honestly fits the casual vibe perfectly. What we really like is that it feels local and not like some big chain. The place is always clean and the interior still looks new with nice simple decor. If you're in Rego Park and want a reliable, easy meal, this is a perfect spot. We'll definitely keep coming back. There's not always a ton of staff though so you might wait a bit longer than you would at somewhere like Shake Shack. read more

They have burgers, fried chicken and peri peri chicken (an Africa spicy rotisserie style chicken). The farmhouse burger (smash burger with a fried egg) and fries were delicious and satisfying. The peri peri chicken was also good. We ordered it mild but there was barely any heat at all. Could have gone with a higher heat level. Came across this new spot as their bright sign got my attention and I've heard some good things about Peri Peri chicken. They have a pretty extensive menu so take your time and see all they have. We ordered the Peri Peri wrap, quarter chicken over rice, kids cheeseburger meal with Peri Peri fries and a mango mojito. The food took about 18 minutes to be ready and we took it to go. We had the food about 7 minutes after that so the change in temperature from the pickup to eating was not significant. The wrap was good but too saucy as the chicken and lettuce got lost in the sauce also it stated it comes with pico de gallo but either it was very little or they forgot to put it. The quarter chicken over rice said leg and thigh so I assumed two pieces but was just one piece of a small leg thigh. They should reword the menu info as it's a little misleading. I got that with their mild sauce and it's similar to Halal white sauce. The rice was good and maybe a little more veg/salad would have been nice. The kids meal cheeseburger was pretty well sized and if their smash burgers are similar I might have to try it. The Peri Peri fries were ok and nothing special about the seasoning. It had some sitting under the heat lamp texture and temperature to it. It could have been regular fries and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Lastly the mango mojito was good, not too sweet and very light mango taste. All in all a good meal but nothing memorable to be honest. Just some notes, they charge higher prices if using a credit card. They do not have any online or delivery options yet. When I called they said they can deliver locally and charge a fee which may be $5 but aren't sure. Some little things I noticed while waiting for the food as I was the only customer at the time and three tables and the floor had food debris which should have cleaned up as it's a nice new looking interior and to see it unkept isn't a good look. (The cook was chilling in a table with other employee) and they realized they forgot about my order!!! By that time there was another table and another costumer, so they indeed forgot about me. I asked for a refund which was denied because "my food was ready". An employee just apologized to me and said I won't happen again. Seems like these employees have something better to do than to check on their customers. This is beyond disrespectful. You're a new business and that's how you treat your customers? I tried the food here and honestly I have eaten one of the best burger here. I tried the honey garlic chicken, peri peri chicken rice and mango mojito were so delicious. Trust me, they were made with so much perfection, the chicken was juicy flavorful and bang on. the lady working in the front and the guy in the kitchen were so courteous and excellent customer service.
