I needed a tire Rod replaced since I somehow cracked my old one. I called several other shops in the area to get a quote on the repair. This place was the only one to give me a honest quote without needed to see the car or do a diagnostic. I was positive I needed a tire Rod as I had got my car previously serviced at the dealer and another tire place but they only do tires only. All of the other locations In the area who advertise as an auto mechanic shop or tire shop wanted me to come in for a diagnostic and to see how bad the damage was before a quote. I had a picture from both places confirming that my tire Rod was cracked so a diagnostic wasn't really necessary in this case. They deserve 0 stars, I went in for an emissions. I was told it failed for not ready, which means everything was working on my vehicle as it pertains to an emissions. I pay, get my key, go get in my vehicle and the car won't start, no instrument lights, no radio, no A/C and windshield wipers won't turn off. I go inside to address the issue with the staff and he states that they did nothing wrong. We go back and forth and the management continues to deny that they were the cause. He states that they can look at it for $110, I said I'll have the car towed. After looking the vehicle over for about 35 minutes, I was able to get it started and find the issue. When they attempted to do the emissions check, somehow he shorted the system and blew the OBD2 fuse I go back inside to let them know the issue. The manager just nods and smirks, no apology, no offer to refund or anything. Useless shop, beware, go elsewhere!! read more

I went to get my car fixed March 2025. I requested to fix ever and anything that would turn my lights off so I will never have a problem passing emissions. They told me it was my 02 sensor and Converter which came up to $1292.00 in cash. I passed my emissions but test but 3 days after the lights came back on. I took it up to the shop and they stated they had to replace the 02 sensor. When I picked it up again not even 5 miles out the same lights came on. At this point I'm annoyed because I don't live close and have been taking Uber back and forth to get to my car and drop it off. After few days they said it was the converter and sometimes depending on the car it may reject it and they have no way of knowing. So now they have to put in the GMC Converter for it to work and it's an Additional $1292. Absolutely not. You mean to tell me you tried to save money by putting in a deformed Converter in my car and it didn't work now YOU want me to pay extra for something that you messed up on and should've done it right in the first place. They didn't even tell me there was a difference in the beginning, they didn't give me any options in the beginning and they're supposed to be the experts! They are scammers and the mechanics are hit and Miss don't go!!!! read more

Couple of days back I have been here for my cars oil change and emissions. Actually I had a problem with my ignition and they figured it out and changed the battery and now its all good. They took care very well. They are quick and fast. The customer service is really awesome. They are reasonable and competitive rates compare to others in the market. Owner is an absolute asshole. Called to ask a question and he would rather argue and say they do everything right instead of just looking at the account. Once he finally shut up and listened to what we were saying he realized he was wrong and even offered to do it for free. Honestly with that attitude I'd rather pay someone to do it correctly the first time. He lied and said he'd spoken to someone about no being able to find the rim. Which is a lie because my truck was sitting there ready to go for God knows how long before we were notified it was ready. The truck was there for an insurance claim and when Statefarm called the shop for a completion date he said he didn't have a good number for us, but he could've called Statefarm. He also read my number to me and it was wrong but he was so sure he'd spoken to us right. Guess they don't do everything right. So now I have to buy a rim out of pocket which is fine at least now I know it will be done correctly. Terrible attitude no communication. We even had to pay out of pocket for a rental because these incompetent idiots didn't have sense enough to call the insurance company. Friendly people and great service, but I was really disappointed when AFTER they changed my oil that my bill was $6.00 more than their advertised price. They said it was only $2 more but the invoice said $3 PLUS they tacked on additional $3 in shop fees which they did NOT when I came in before. They claimed they haven't received and displayed their new signage with the new prices, but then they need to take down the incorrect display that brought me in to their service center. When I argued with the owner, he said, we are still the cheapest around. Actually they aren't. He was convenient being only a mile away but I can drive another 5 miles and get it for his 'advertised' price. He said it's only a couple of bucks more to which I now say, so you will lose my business over a couple of bucks. Before I received my bill I asked if he was suffering from employee shortages due to covid and he smiled and told me no because he overpays them. Humm. Avoid this place at all cost. When the "old man" isn't around this place is a circus. I am absolutely "pissed" with what the customer service has become at this place. I bought new tires here in January. I called to check on a tire and warranty work. Was promised a call-back. Never got a call-back. Decided to come to the store to check on things. Was told that the "guy" who knows where my tire was ordered from hasn't been in all day. I asked well you couldn't have called him to find out? The response was well we started the day 7 hours behind. Hell even that would have been good information so I could have dropped the truck off. I could have dropped the truck off sooner. I hadn't even left the parking lot the guy calls and tells me the reason I'm having an issue with my tires wearing is because they NEVER completed an alignment on my truck in the first place. I will be exploring my options for recourse. I'm completely done with this establishment. Piss poor customer service and no care for the little man. I had an oil change done to my car and it was not done properly almost ruined my engine. The technician that checked me out said he would give me 4 free oil changes to make it right. When I came back and was explaining to the technician what had happened the owner jumped in yelling at me saying everyone makes mistakes we are not honoring the free oil changes. I said really so you are not standing behind this promise. The owner is very rude not only to customers, but his employees. The guys that work there are great guys and I will continue to get my tires, but no other service. The owner needs to stay home. read more

Some self-righteous guy at this location called our place of business and asked for parts department. Parts closed at 5pm and he called at 5:04pm, so I informed him that they were already closed (the guys had already left for the day so there really was no one in parts dept. to help him). He said, "Well you are trying to lose my business, then." I said, "No, sir, we are not trying to lose your business. But due to COVID-19 we have modified hours so parts closes at 5. I'm really sorry." He then had the audacity to say, "I close at 6pm and I EXPECT my customers to close at 6 also. You just lost my business" and then he hung up in my face. This guy must be having a terrible day to speak in such an ignorant and low life manner. How do you demand that a business's hours of operation be the same as yours? I had both my front upper control arms replaced here. I picked up the car with my daughter when the work was complete and immediately drove to my next destination on the other side of Atlanta. On the drive I noticed a slight noise coming from the front passenger side but it seemed to be driving fine. As I got near my destination I pulled into a QT and when I turned to the left to pull in front of the pump I heard a POP sound on the front side where the work was done. I, being a layperson in auto repair, looked under the car to see if I could notice something awry but did not see anything. I was hella nervous though because it was not a natural noise for a car to make, duh, and I still had to get to a MAJORLY important appointment right then. I got gas and left and as we were driving the car made that same noise 2 or 3 more times as we went over potholes or bumps in the road. I was extremely nervous because I had my daughter in the car and did not know if the wheel was going to fall off while on the highway doing 70 or what was going on and might happen, so I slowed down to practically a crawl as I neared my destination and semi-coasted into the parking lot there. As I was driving I phoned my wife and was telling her I was going to be late to the appointment we had and that I was pulling in soon. She stayed on the phone with me until I arrived and as I was driving I told her about the troubles with the car. She was on the phone with me when I pulled in the parking lot of the office building and was on the second floor looking out the window and said "Yeah I see you pulling in and your tire looks like its falling back into the wheel well." Turns out the technician had not threaded the bolt through the ring that holds the control arm in place (I didn't know this at the time of course). I called the closest Goodyear to see if I could bring it in there for them to take a look at and explained the noises and issues and the lady I spoke with said I should not drive the car for safety reasons. (you sure? ;) ) She gave me the number for Goodyear's roadside assistance so I called them to get it towed. They showed up after a good long while and towed it to the Chamblee-Tucker Road store and they discovered the bolt error. Sheila was who helped me there and I believe the owner was the one who fixed my car (Ernie I believe). Turns out Sheila was the one I initially spoke to who told me not to drive the car! They did a great job and got me up and running the next day, while taking pictures and texting with me showing me the error with the bolt. Unfortunately they had to charge me for the repair of the repair and the tow over there, all totaling $250. SO, I called back to Performance Tire Goodyear Stockbridge and spoke with Alex, who was very apologetic and understanding. I expressed in no uncertain terms but politely that I was very disheartened about the dangerous situation we were put in due to the error. He was very kind in return and was quick to reassure me that an error is an error and it should never have happened for safety reasons. I asked him what he could do to help me in the situation I was in and he said they could not make up for the mental distress but he was willing to reimburse me for the additional expenses incurred. I took pictures of the receipts for the additional tow and repair and texted these to him AS WELL AS the pictures of the mis-threaded bolt before and after it was fixed. He reviewed the situation with the owner there, Denny Nelson. About a week and a half later I actually did get a check from them for the additional repairs and tow with a short handwritten note from Denny apologizing for the incident. Whew! So I write this review (which is like the 3rd I have ever written) to say this...even though they put me in a bad situation they were kind in righting it and followed through on their promise of reimbursement (which actually surprised me due to the way promises work in this world these days). Would I take my car back here again...yes, but slightly hesitantly simply due to the bolt error, but not due to person to person relationships. They had also fixed my fuel pump a few months before and it worked out well. They ALSO fixed my wife's AC hoses and told me they had to drive nearly to Chattanooga to get the hose assembly so if that's true then I really appreciate it! They were always kind and polite at the service counter so I had some good experiences there, hence the 4 star rating. Thank you that is all now get out of my face. :) read more

My husband, daughter, and myself were traveling from Kennesaw to Locust Grove for my birthday. On the way down there, we noticed a scraping noise underneath the car while driving on the highway. We decided to stop as we thought it was a becoming a safety issue. The staff initially stated it would only cost $24.99 to remove a plastic covering and quoted us about 30 minutes. This was great news as it could have been much worse! It took about 30 minutes to remove. However, the staff then stated that it would be free of charge and would not even accept a tip! My husband and I were incredibly grateful for the generous help, especially on my birthday as we were on a time crunch. We would recommend this location to anyone! read more

BUYER BEWARE! What seems like a good deal on tires may not be so! We had a set of new tires installed at this shop in February 2017. We just recently took my 2013 Lincoln MKZ to have the tires first rotation done at a closer Goodyear shop. We were informed that there was damage done to most of our lug nuts so badly that they could not even get them off to rotate our tires. So we went back to this store this past Saturday and was promised from one of the managers that they would fix the problem but we would need to bring it in on Monday. So yesterday the car was dropped off at the shop and when my husband returned to pick it up the owner gave him the keys and told him it was not their responsibility to fix it and that they wasn't going to fix it. So now it is going to cost us to get every lug nut replaced on the vehicle. Bad way to do business to say the least! No customer service and they do not stand behind their work. Had a lift kit put on my truck and the shop that did it took it to this Goodyear for the alignment, several hours later when I was finally called to pick my truck up they tell me that I need new lower ball joints and tie rod ends and that they couldn't align it... so being that it wasn't out of alignment bad I drove it until the next morning and called a couple other shops and took it and had them check it out and all three shops told me "a front end don't get any tighter than that". So since I've done business with McDonough tire in the past and being that they were the last shop to check it out they aligned it for me in 30 minutes and I was on my way... PERFORMANCE TIRE AND AUTO (Goodyear on Davidson circle) is a shop full of greedy thieves that just want to sell you parts you don't need! The service I received by management from this place was not professional. I purchased two brand tires from in January of 2018 and July 6, 2018 my front right tire blew out while driving and I lost control of my vehicle. I managed to bring my car under control and park in a safe place. I made contact with the manager at Performance Tire Service and told him what happened and he said bring the tire in I will look at it. When I arrived my husband a I a man came out and immediately said after looking at the tire for a minute and stated he was the manager and I was riding on a flat tire. He was very rude did not want to listen to any of my concerns then took the tire he said to be inspected. My husband and I was treated so badly by the staff in the front. Then when we ask were they finished and could we speak to the manager again. The real manager because really irate he start swinging his hand saying you people always want something for nothing we are talking about a tire that cost me $133.00. He was so disrepectly to me and my husband custom did not matter because his service was horrible. We were stranded in Stockbridge when the brake lines ruptured on our vehicle. It was 1 hour until closing time when we managed to get the vehicle to this Great Place. They took it in immediately even though there were several cars ahead of us. Brake lines were completely rusted out in several places. No new parts could be found. Owner said he personally would call several places around tomorrow to find what was needed. There we were, 4 of us "Senior" Type strangers stranded in Stockbridge with no way to get back home to Covington. One of their mechanics volunteered to drive over 35 miles out of his way to take us home on his way home. He would not accept any money from us. These are not your "Average" people to do business with. Now I will have a place to trust my vehicle maintenance with. read more
