Another lie by Naval Roy! My 2005 Dodge Power Wagon broke down on me Halloween night of 2018, a Wednesday. On a Thursday after speaking to a local transmission part supply store that recommended Shift Right Transmission Repair in Stockbridge I had my truck towed to the shop, over 20 miles away at a cost of $200. The owner Naval Roy assured me that I would have my truck back in 5 days if I agreed to get it there before the weekend. I spoke to Naval again on Friday and he informed me that the transmission was damaged and in need of repair and a possible case after he removed the transmission pan and inspected it and found aluminum shavings in it. He said he would have the transmission out and disassembled and know the internal damage on Monday. I called again Monday evening and he said he was still in the process of removing the transmission. I was in the area on Tuesday and dropped by to inspect the work progress and found the vehicle still in the parking lot, exactly where the wrecker had dropped it off. Being a retired ASE Master Automobile Technician I inspected the vehicle in the parking lot and found not only had it not been moved into the shop and put on a lift, stored in the shop as promised, the transmission pan had not been removed. Naval lied to me! He promised to keep the truck secured in his shop, it was not. He told me he put it in the shop and removed the pan, he did not. He told me he was in the process of removing the transmission, he was not. When I confronted him about this he did not deny the lies. I had my truck removed within the hour and towed to a reputable transmission repair facility. I was out over $400 in tow fees and wasted 5 days of being without my vehicle while it sat in his parking lot. This guy is a lair and a thief! I will be posting my review everywhere I can and informing the people at ATRA of this individuals shady practices. People like Naval Roy give good technicians a bad name!

On Monday at about 11 am as I was headed home from Blairsville, Ga to Savannah a car in front of me…read moreon I 75 south swerved to miss an empty gas can which I tried to avoid. I missed hitting it but it flew under my car, made a dreadful racket, then went airborne from my back bumper. A few seconds later I noticed in my mirror that a light bluish gray haze seemed to be coming from the area of my exhaust. I feared that the can had somehow damaged my car and I was burning oil. I was right! It did damage my car because a few seconds later my indicator lights in my Volvo 2013 C70 flashed a hazard signal with the words TRANSMISSION ERROR. My car began to lose speed and drive as I pulled off to the right shoulder of the interstate. I called a Ga HETO unit. It arrived within 30 minutes but he could not help me as my car was immobilized and needed to be towed. As he left, I called AAA for towing service. At 12:15 pm, AAA confirmed a wrecker was on the way and would arrive between 1:15 and 4:15 pm, and my request was listed as URGENT since I was on a "busy highway." At 4:13 pm, the wrecker arrived and towed my car to Christian Bros Automotive in Stockbridge, Ga. I chose them because they were familiar with work on foreign cars including Volvo. They told me that they would likely be able to evaluate the car the next day, and then they could give me a appraisal for repairs. True to their word, they checked the car, called me, we discussed repairs and costs, and proceeded with ordering parts and labor. On Wed the car was repaired, tested, and returned to me sending me on my way home at approximately 2:30 pm. Charles, my contact person there, was courteous and helpful, and made my dealings with them pleasant and professional. Truthfully I hope I never gave to use them again in these circumstances, but for an emergency repair these guys were superb!
