I took my car here for an oil change on 9/21. After speaking with the lady at the front desk, it…read morewas recommended that I do the synthetic blend for 6k miles since I drive a lot. Perfect - total came to around $74 including taxes. Once I hit the 3k mark, I noticed my oil light started to flash, which of course baffled me because I know I paid for 6k miles. So I called and explained my concerns about my light being on and me not understanding why. She told me I probably just needed to have it reset if I've drove more than 3k miles and to come through so they could reset it. Cool ! So I pull up today and she's like " it's the factory reset, we'll pull it around back and have them reset it". I explained to her that it's not the factory reset, my car is telling me I need an oil change and the factory reset will not take care of that. I heard the young man who did my oil change originally say "I need a professional for this one" SECOND RED FLAG. While they were checking my car, another front desk lady started to ask me questions like, "did we do your last oil change?" "Is this a 2018 car?" "What's your information again?" ... seeming like they were trying to look for a reason for this being my fault. Mind you the lady who I originally did business with the month prior was quite as a church mouse. After about 10 minutes later, a man who I am assuming was the owner came out and told me that I was low 2 quarts of oil and that he has seen this happen all the time with "theses models" - I needed to get start getting conventional oil instead of synthetic because my car is running straight through the oil. So I'm like, okay I didn't know that but appreciate you for telling me. His response: "nobody would have known", but y'all are the "professionals" but I digress. Additionally, he let me know that he had already put the 2 quarts already in my car. I expressed my gratitude until lady who hadn't said a word the whole time asked "what is the charge for this" ME: charge ? Hold up, I never told you to put anything in my car. Owner responded that he couldn't let me drive off with no oil and that he had to charge me. I saw red . I told the man that I never told y'all to do anything with my car, I wanted to know first why I paid for a 6k oil change and after 3k miles driven, my oil light was on. I also told him that he should've spoken with me prior to doing any service on my car to ensure I even had the means/funds to pay. They had the time to ask me all the unnecessary questions until they got to that point. We went back and forth for a little while and I stood on I wasn't paying for something I didn't ask for. I walked out with the free oil after the owner told me next time I'll have to pay for any service provided. And I responded next time be the decency to tell your customers about services they don't know you are doing. He talked to me like I was an uneducated fool but he had the right one this day. From the responses of the employees, this is something they do on a regular basis - an attempt to keep customers coming back and spending more money. Clearly the young man didn't do the proper oil change with my car because I left this establishment and went straight to the Kia dealership with my concerns and was advised that nothing this man said was true. Go figures. If you go here, trust your discernment because these people will try you.

After checking the vehicle, he recommended replacing the radiator. What impressed me most was his professionalism and transparency. My Camry had a no-start issue, and instead of trying to sell me a starter or some expensive repair like less honest mechanics might have done, Sherman took the time to properly diagnose the problem and found that a connector wasn't plugged in correctly. He fixed it quickly and had the car running again. On my Impala, he completed an oil change and repaired my cigarette lighter outlets, which had been damaged by an overpowered device that had melted part of the circuit. Everything is working properly now. He arrived on time, was professional from start to finish, explained everything clearly, and charged a very fair price. He even followed up by sending me a PDF with diagnostic codes and a detailed list of recommended maintenance items for future service. It's hard to find mechanics who are knowledgeable, honest, and transparent, but Sherman checked all three boxes. This was easily a 10/10 experience, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for reliable automotive service. I appreciate the work, the honesty, and the professionalism. Looking forward to working with him again in the future.
