They do not seem to know how to communicate with patients but they excel at communicating when they want to get paid.

For the second time in about a year I did an overnight sleep study in the Sleep Center in order to be approved for 3rd time of machine to treat my sleep apnea. As with the sleep study last time, Shannon was my assigned sleep tech (aka polysomnographic technologist). She has the innate ability to do her job while engaging in the most awesome conversation of any sleep tech I've worked with, and not counting the last two with Shannon, I've had at least three other sleep studies over the years. Sleep studies are hard for me, especially at this time of year. I had to leave my family on a Sunday night and drive 15 miles to a sleep center. It's cold and, many times, rainy. With St. Michael, the bad thing is that the center is an elevator ride down a level and a VERY long walk across the building to the door. You have to look for wall and sandwich board signs. Once at the door you press a button to have a tech buzz you in. Sitting in the lobby, you know the night will involve a bunch of stuff that you fear will prevent the sleep you're there to have for the study. And you're alone, especially after you have to power off your phone. So, for me, the procedure makes you somewhat anxious. Then Shannon comes in and tells you she'll be conducting your study for the night. Last time, we immediately hit it off because that's who she is. This time, it was a welcome reunion with an old friend. We took up the conversation where we left off. I still dislike these studies but working with Shannon, or just hearing her voice over the room intercom, relaxed me. Yes, I was able to sleep and yes, she had to wake me up a couple of times to make position adjustments to the wiring harness. But I had the best, most refreshing sleep I've had in weeks. Shannon assured me that from the preliminary results of the study my numbers looked good. This meant I responded well to the type of machine and mask used for the study. Now, I hope to never have a another sleep study but if I do, I sure hope Shannon will again be my polysomnographic technologist.

SHARI WOOTTEN is awful and should lose her license for the things she says to people and the way she treats patients. Been here again since this review and had a better experience, so edited the rating. Brenda is great. It was like night and day on experience and professionalism. I feel like I might actually get some help now.

She was really sick and also had Alzheimer's. Most Dr's wouldn't want to take care of my mom or would have given up on my mom because of how sick she was and her Alzheimer's. Dr. StoneStreet stepped in and to this day, has never given up on her. Because of her determination to help my mom,she is still alive today. The Bipap has greatly helped her and gave her the energy she needed to power through the healing process of how sick she was. We finally figured out this year, how to stop the leaking from the mask. Even though the mask leaked for years, it still made a difference. She had stopped using the Bipap for about a month last October. I was not the DPOA for my mom at that time, so all I could do is be there for her. Within that month, she stopped eating again and she was very lethargic. I was scared, I was going to lose my mom. I ran into Dr. StoneStreet and she encouraged me. She still never gave up on my mom. We did everything we could then and succeeded and got my mom back on her Bipap. She saved my mom's life again. As soon as she got back on the Bipap, she started eating again and was wide awake. My mom is not cured from the Alzheimer's at this time. Maybe if we fixed her apnea 10 years ago, she wouldn't be where she is now. Im still not giving up on her! As my mom would always say, " Let Time Be Your Friend." She still however, amazes me. With where she is at, in the Alzheimer's, she has beaten the odds. She still remembers who we are. She still surprises me with what she is capable of, and continues to shows us signs that she is still there and aware of everything. The Bipap helps, but we also do our part to keep her going. We continue to care for her, keeping her active, engaged, and informed, while also being proactive about her health and well-being. I highly recommend Dr. StoneStreet. I have immense gratitude for her unwavering support and dedication. Her excitement and commitment to helping my mom keeps me encouraged and motivated when times are rough. The staff has also been wonderful. They always make us feel welcomed and is always there to help in any way. I also highly recommend the Bipap or Cpap machine, it really did make a difference for my mom.

The front desk at the time was also very friendly. The problem is this: After the intake, I scheduled a follow up appointment for additional imaging, only because I was assured (by both the doctor and front desk!) that the office would check my insurance for imaging coverage and follow up with me directly. Instead, no one contacted me at all until I reached out myself days before my x-ray appointment, only to be told (for the first time) that I never qualified for coverage in the first place, and that I'd supposedly already been informed at my first visit. When I pointed out the mismatch between what I was told and what was now being claimed, the office dodged responsibility rather than acknowledge any communication failure. "Hey, so sorry no one reached out to you to follow up. We'll make an effort to fix that in the future." That's really all it would have taken. Instead they went with "We never said that, we already told you." Which is honestly just...why do that? So weird. Tldr: great doctor, but if you go here then get all your communications in writing because their admin WILL gaslight you if they make a mistake. Especially so if you have any doubts at all about how they deal with insurance.

I requested he confirm my coverage so he could be assured the Dr. would be fully paid, he snippily refused. He also erroneously said pre-authorization prohibits the Dr's ability to receive any further payment from me (if I wasn't fully covered -- which I am). Just off the phone with my insurer, who contradicted all he had told me, and attempted to call to straighten things out. It went right to voice mail. Twice. Moving on to a different provider, but thought others should know.

My dentist came back into the "cubicle room" and explained she would knocked off $100). I want to make it clear I asked about price of the device prior to going and after I was brought back into the dental office for a second fitting. It was the end of the year and I had already paid a few hundred dollars. I also want to make it clear the individual who coordinates with the insurance company was a negative nightmare. Without a doubt negative energy / negative person (in my experience). Below is my response after being told I'd be issued a refund TWO months later: ~~~~ Thank you for reaching out, and I appreciate your attention to this matter. I must admit, I found it rather amusing as well that I was charged $500 in December, especially considering the circumstances surrounding my inquiry about the charge. Unfortunately, my interaction with M left much to be desired in terms of professionalism and customer service. In light of this, I'd like the refund for the overpayment returned to my credit card. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you require any further information or documentation from my end to process the refund. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Buyer beware and don't be bullied by the male dentist or their unprofessionally childish back office.

What a change this has made! I'm definitely sleeping better, waking up more rested and staying asleep longer. The front desk staff are very friendly and professional. Dr. Doneskey is friendly and takes the time to talk with you about your problems and discuss solutions. I looked up sleep apnea mouth guards before coming here and I was worried because I have a very small mouth, and the way they typically work involves a lot of structure on the sides. The mouth guards here are connected by a metal peg and slot at the front, and so it fits easily in my tiny mouth. My medical insurance did not cover the mouth guard at all, so I did pay out of pocket for this, but it has made a difference in my health, which is the best investment. Definitely worth it, just check both medical and dental because they might split the cost.

The staff took care of me while in the office, treated me like family, and walked me through the administrative process with insurance.
