My family has been coming here for quite a few years! Typically, the appointments are fine but today wasn't that great. We got there early for our appointment, but even then, we didn't get going with the actual appointment until over 20 minutes past our appointment time. We were asked if contacts were considered, which was surprising since I mentioned when the appointment was made that 'it was for contacts'. Mind you I made the appointment months before. The optometrist mentioned that she could try on contacts that same day since they were in stock. I was told instead we'd have to set up another time to come in. I'm disappointed my teen did not get a chance to try on the contacts the same day of the appointment. Baffled even that she was unable to try them. In my over 20 years of wearing contacts, I've never experienced NOT being able to go home with a single pair of contacts! Let alone trying to see if she can put them in. Now we have to wait another two weeks to try them to see if they work (before putting in the order). I see a lot of new workers in the office even so, this visit is making me rethink where to go for my household eye prescriptions. I've also noticed an influx of clients. I've never seen so many in the waiting room at once. read more

I've been going here for almost 10 years now. I moved 2 hours away 5 years ago and i still make the drive every time to go here. I'm not sure what the name of my doctor is, but he's always amazing and always gets my eyes right. when i went to my last appointment he gave me a box of contacts so i'd have something with the right prescription to drive with and such since i can't really see without them anymore. truly an awesome place, staff is always so nice and the place is kept really clean. read more

their customer service for a long time was exceptional and inviting to where people would stay there for over 10 years on staff. In recent years they have had such a turn over that I have to educate the staff on my prescription benefits even convincing them of what my benefits are that it becomes frustrating and more of a argument......I hope that they will be able to resolve their high turn over rate to where their staff can be brought up to speed. My family has been coming to here forever . I came in here today to have my sons temple on his glasses and the receptionist called back to let the ladies know . I waited for over 20 min . I repeatedly saw techs walking around and going up to the desk and not one person asked me if I had been helped . I finally went up to ask if I could be helped .I had patience, but when they didn't ask me if I needed help I was very blown away ! I hope they read this and remember to say hi is someone helping you ! I truly love this place ! The change in staff is absolutely sad ! read more

I can't say enough good words for the staff and Dr Mayes at 20/20 Eyecare. Dr Mayes gave myself and my kids the attention to detail that we needed. He ordered numerous samples of several different contact lenses until the fit and comfort was perfect. He explained the testing procedures and results. The visit wasn't just rush in and rush out; they made sure we were satisfied with prescriptions and service. They presented their prices for contact lenses, and they were comparable with 1-800 stores. They took and filed my insurance and though my insurance didn't pay for the contact exam, they only charged minimally for the additional procedures. I am glad I found 20/20. I would go here anytime before one of the mall or fast chain eyecare establishments. Pricing is comparable and the service is first class. read more

The doctors at 20/20 in Silverdale WA are great. The billing department, not. They submitted my vision claim to my MEDICAL insurance and tried to make me pay because the 'medical' insurance denied it. THEN, after they submitted it to MY Vision insurance, and me paying the balance, they said they never got the payment. I then went online and got proof of payment. They insisted that just because the bank sent it doesn't mean they received it. Oh, and by-the-way, I have a balance owning from 2019. What?! Never got a bill from them. Sent them PROOF from the bank that they accepted my last payment. Waiting on 20/20's response. It should NOT be this difficult, PEOPLE! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL eye doctor I have ever been too. When you walk in the staff is young and immature and takes forever to greet you. Very annoying seeing as I was with my elderly Dad and all you could do is hear them laughing and talking from the back. Not only that my glasses were BLURRY when they arrived TWICE. I got better service at the Wal Mart eye care center where I will be going back. This is in regards to the Silverdale office. I have not visited their other locations. After an hour, I called them again. Found out that the doctor wasn't going to be able to keep my appointment anyway. They weren't able to give me a new appointment for 2 months. read more

We were looking for a new family optometrist and found one quickly. After asking friends and coworkers, the unanimous conclusion was 20/20 Eye Care Center in Silverdale. We called to set up exams for the Family and we're all able to get in within a month, on a Saturday even. The Staff were all very courteous and treated us as if we've been personal friends. They were very knowledgable and answered any questions. I recently read that they were voted as a Finalist in the Best of Central Kitsap Readers Choice Awards for Best Vision Center. I have no doubt that our Family will be staying with them for a while. read more

I called this eye care center because of the Yelp reviews and also because they cover my new insurance plan whereas my current eye clinic does not accept it at this time. Turns out, this is the clinic that fitted me for contacts 45 years ago when I was a teenager! (Yes, we had contacts in the 70's.) Dr. Willem was able to see me within 24 hours of calling. Yay! When I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff and was very satisfied with the care I was given. I found Dr. Willem to be very friendly and helpful with my particular vision problem. read more

I had the best experience at 20/20! I had purchased frames I bought online and needed to get them adjusted. After calling several places and being told they wouldn't do an adjustment (since they weren't purchased there), 20/20 said it was not a problem. The staff was so friendly, punctual, and efficient! The optometrist are great. Personable, informed and very welcoming. I've been coming here for a few years and they are the only reason I continue to come back. The receptionist and billing department are awful. Back in January during COVID I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early and was asked to call in and then wait in my car so I did. An hour and half later after calling two more times they finally came to get me. The receptionist "forgot" I was waiting. I was no happy because on top of that I had to make this appointment 7 months ahead of time because they had no availability. After that experience I gave them leniency because of everything go on in the world. In June though I ordered two boxes of contacts. A month later I called to find out where they were because it has never taken that long to get contacts. Receptionist said she would find out for me and call me right back. 3 day later I'm still waiting. read more

We love 20/20 Eyecare Center in Silverdale. They always greet us immediately and have a very inviting waiting area. The equipment they use during the exam seems to be the latest and greatest in technology. My tech was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. My doctor was patient, answering all my questions and explaining the test results in terms I could understand. We'll definitely continue going to see them. My only complaint would be that I've yet to been seen on time, it's generally 20 to 30 minutes past my appointment time before I'm actually ushered back to start the exam. Considering it's generally later in the afternoon, it could be they were just falling behind at that point. Still, not enough to prevent my return. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Mayes for several years. I always have a great experience. I love their machine that takes a picture of your retina rather than having your eyes dilated. The people who help pick out your glasses are extremely helpful. They have helped me several times with getting new lenses that were still under warranty for scratches. read more

the exam was great the glasses part very disappointing, told it would be 8 days to get new lenses in my frames, I called at 11 days and they said should be in that day, best number to call you, gave them my cell as I was in need of them, no call got home late and message on home phone, Went in next morning to pick them up and found out that they did not send in order till 3 days after I was there. I tracked down the Kingston office after i got done speaking with you and before you left me the VM. The Kingston office was WAYYY more helpful than you and your snarkiness!! I went to the one in Kingston to get new contacts. 4 office visits later I was able to order my contacts. They need to get it together in this office and learn how to not inconvenience their patients so terribly. The front desk people have no clue whats going on, everyone in this office is on Xanax or something. read more
