My insurance directed me to LensCrafters at the Silverdale Mall. However, there are two businesses in the same location. Knight Vision doesn't take the insurance I have for an exam, but LensCrafters, within the same store space, will take my insurance for frames and lenses. I need insurance to help cover both exam and the glasses. I would recommend calling both businesses with insurance questions prior to making an appointment. read more

Not sure why LensCrafters hasn't been reviewed yet, it's been in the mall forever and is always a busy place! Guess I'm guilty too, me and my family have been going here for years! That being said, I like this place! The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that sometimes the wait is a bit long, even if you have an appointment. It seems that foot traffic from the mall can get them behind sometimes and obviously they're not going to quit helping a customer that they're in the middle of just because you walk in with your appointment time. I've been that "foot traffic" many times for adjustments, cleanings and general maintenance on our glasses. Which by the way, is all FREE! I'm assuming most eyeglass places offer those services free but are they as convenient as the mall?? Probably not! The service is excellent with a very friendly and customer oriented staff. They'll do everything they can to make sure you get the lowest cost possible and the best options for your money or your insurance carrier. They have a great selection of frames for being such a small shop and what they don't have, they'll order for you. As a family of 6, we've always found exactly what we want from prescription glasses to sunglasses, child to adult. Watch for the sales and you can walk out with free frames!! read more

We've been with Lens Crafters for a few years now and they are awesome. The staff are friendly, but the older man isn't as pleasant and bubbly, although he gets the job done. The services are quite, even when they send the glasses out. They always say 7 to 10 days, but they always come back within 2 or 3 days. I love their return policy. I bought sunglasses and they were not big enough block the sun. I returned the glasses after 2 days and got new sun glasses. They came back within 2 or 3 days max. The only downside is they are usually booking out 2 months, so if you need glasses, you may have to wait. read more

I purchased a pair of new Oakley Prescriptions from this location back in March. My vision insurance allows one free pair of glasses per year. So I usually venture into Lens crafters throughout the year to look at the newest Oakley frames on the market. While at the mall, I wandered in and saw a pair of frames that caught my eye. A sales associate came over to assist me, and confirmed my vision benefits which was completed in a matter of minutes. We then did a test fit/adjust on the new frames I had picked out. I also picked lens upgrades/options. I already had my vision exam completed somewhere else. I just handed over the prescription, and all done. Wait time for delivery was about a week, although the associate helping me mentioned up to two weeks wait. Very happy with new glasses. Im sure, I will re-visit next year. read more

I've been going to Dr. Knight for 8 years, ever since I went to take my eye test for my driver's license and we suddenly realized I'm blind as a bat. It's pretty easy to get an appointment with him on short notice since you can make them online through the Lenscrafters website. Both he and his staff are very thorough and friendly - he's probably the only doctor I've ever had who asks me how work and school are going. The Lenscrafters store itself can get busy, but all the employees that I've interacted with were knowledgable and helpful. They've managed to salvage quite a few frames after I've bent them out of carelessness. They send coupons out for frames fairly often or they offer a AAA discount. read more

This may be long but it's worth your read before you go here. It started out with an appointment with the optometrist (Knight Vision) at this location. I told him what I wanted as I don't need glasses for distance but I would like progressive readers. Progressive because when I'm on the computer the screen is two to three feet away and when I'm reading a book it closer, like maybe one foot. During the exam I ask about these places you see ads for selling glasses for $69 and I was told by the doctor that those places are selling the old style prescription glasses and the patent has expired on that way of making glasses and they do the most up-to-date glasses here at Lenscrafters. With my new prescription in hand and my pocket about $100 lighter I went out in the store and found a nice frame. It said "Made in China" on the side yet was still over $100. I took those up to the counter and some guy came over and helped me out with getting my prescription filled; another $200. He didn't bother to fit the glasses to my face first though so in about 10 days when I got my glasses, I could see anything out of them once they adjusted them. Back they went again for new lenses again... They came back this time and it was better but I couldn't see very well out of them and I was told I would need to "break them in" so I took them home and used them for a week. After a week of headaches I brought them back. I told them I think the prescription was bad. They sent me back in to see the doctor and he had made the prescription for reading only, and not computer work so I had pretty much a pair of $400 reading glasses. He spent about 5 minutes with me and gave me a new prescription so I went back out to get that prescription put in the glasses and I was told by the salesman that if I wanted really clear vision I should go with the new technology glasses and not the old style... So what he was telling me is what I got here so far for $400 I could have got for $69 at one of those other places... I forked up another $100 for the new technology style glasses because off course I want to see clear. About a week later they came and again I couldn't see very well and was told to take them home and see if things got better. They didn't. I brought them back and Lenscrafters was very nice about refunding me my (about) $400 but I was told there is no refunds from the doctor since he provides a service... I guess he gets paid even for bad service. I'm done with Lenscrafters as you can guess. read more

I was BLOWN AWAY by my first Lenscrafters experience a few weeks ago. Ryan and his esteemed peers went above and beyond what I would have ever expected from a national chain, and gave me incredible personalized service during a busy Saturday afternoon rush. After groggily leaving Portland, Oregon in the wee-hours of morning, I headed up to Bremerton for the sake of a Roller Derby tournament. It was with utter horror that I realized upon arriving at my first game that I'd left my contact lenses at home. I knew I wouldn't be able to make it through the day wearing my chunky plastic glasses, and that I'd be a danger to all on the track if I skated blind. I called Lenscrafters in a frenzy to see what could be done. Imagine my surprise when an actual human being answered the phone, before business hours had even begun! Ryan was sympathetic and up to the challenge. With the collaborative efforts of my optometrist back east in New York, Ryan and staff made it all happen, and within 2 hours of initially calling, I was fitted with new and very very affordable contact lenses. If I had it to do over again, of course I would have tried to be the responsible adult I like to think I am and NOT have forgotten my contacts in the first place, but the unbelievable service received, combined with the hilarity of me and my teammates sprinting through the Kitsap Mall (in booty shorts and spandex, of course) on a mission to find the Lenscrafters store front was almost worth the stress! I had a long internal debate with myself on this updated review because my overall experience with this particular Lenscrafters store was a combination of good and bad. The good: every staff who communicated with me during the 4 weeks (yes, FOUR weeks) I had to wait for my new eyeglass lenses were professional to a fault and very polite. Updates were also provided on a regular basis. The bad: my Oakley frames got damaged while their technician was trying to remove a screw in order to fit the new lenses in. The screw broke and ended up stuck in the arm of the frames, thus rendering the frames pretty much useless. Although I had very little emotional attachment to those frames, they were still new because they were used rarely before I decided to get new lenses. And I liked them. The good again: Lenscrafters gave me the option of selecting new frames from their inventory. Nothing was off limits. i did find a pair that fit my face nicely and had small details that made the look unique. Your mileage may vary with this store. The point I want to stress is the staff did all they could to fix their mistake. I am just not sure I'll visit them again in the future. We shall see. read more

They did right by us and took care of everything... I am very appreciative of Ryan for actually listening to our situation and not only refunding our money, but going above and beyond and giving us new lenses at no cost... wow and thank you. Only thing I will say is VSP insured beware -- and although LensCrafters new policy allows them to direct-bill, they are still out of network... we have a very good plan with VSP, but our plan gave us ZERO coverage with LensCrafters (which equates to a $30 check)... and if you cash the check it consumes your benefits for the year -- we have to send our check back to reinstate our daughters coverage. read more

We never enjoy going here for glasses. My husband's glasses took over two weeks and mine was shipped to the wrong store. We kept being told we would get a call, but I came into the store and my glasses were there with me never receiving a phone call or text. The sales girl is very annoying and never stopped talking to my husband and I while we were waiting for the other woman to fix my husband's glasses to fit him correctly. She was so annoying my husband later told me his glasses didn't feel right but he couldn't stand staying there any longer. I was told at this LensCrafters by that same sales girl they couldn't do the glasses I had because the frames were cheap (I almost laughed out loud). So I get most of my glasses done at pro-optix in the same mall and love them over there! Such great service at pro-optix. I have great oversized funky glasses now ;) read more

They say a great customer service happens within 5 seconds of a customer/guest walking into your store- this is a main indicator of exceptional service and LensCrafters is no exception. Within seconds of walking in Keith promptly greeted us, asking if we needed any help. Being the indecisive person that I am- having his assistance was a tremendous help. I was in search of a new pair of glasses that could withstand the hands of a toddler seeing she easily broke my last pair. Mind you I came here just to browse thinking I could make due with my broken pair. However, after Keith's guidance I was able to quickly pick a pair of glasses out and I was in and out within 20 minutes!! He was fast, courteous, helpful and over all really pleasant to deal with. He made sure I was happy with the glasses, gave very helpful suggestions and walked me through my insurance coverage. I'm so glad I came in today as an hr after my order I was walking out with a new pair of glasses!! Thanks again Keith, Dr Knight and the rest of the LensCrafters staff! If your looking for affordable eye wear,look else where. The price they charge is out of this world. Even if you find any glasses you are able to afford . Go else where to get this fixed. I have two very small scratches on my lenses. They were going to charge me over 500 to fix them. For that price i can go get three or four pairs of new glassae else where. Buy from lens crafters and you''ll just ne paying their over priced rent for them to stay at the mall. read more

I had a great experience coming here! They were able to make me an appointment the next day and squeeze me in for contacts. The doctor was incredibly friendly made me feel absolutely welcome and very important to be in their office which is which is awesome. Walked in just to browse frames. You can tell that they probably work on commission. I didn't have a current prescription, but I needed an eye exam and after I told them I was just looking it's like no one cared anymore. What if I just wanted to buy something? We left and never went back. read more
