I was referred to Dr. Baldwin due to having shortness of breath. My annual chest scan ( because I'm…read morean ex-smoker) shows mild, centro lobular emphysema). My experience with Dr. Baldwin was horrible! He burst in the room like he was on speed and clapped his hands saying loudly " Hi! What can I do for ya today?" He then proceeded to rapid fire questions at me and was condescending and dismissive of any answer. I have been having many strange & debilitating health issues since having COVID twice and am unable to exercise much, in addition to the shortness of breath I have exertional intolerance so I have to pace myself and be careful to not over do it. He didn't care, nor listen and told me to walk an hour a day, every day. When I told him I haven't been able to work since getting sick with long COVID he acted confused and said "why? what were you doing before you got sick that you can't do it now?" I was a cashier at a convenience store and it was a very busy, physically demanding job, that included stocking shelves & some cleaning, a non-stop 6-7 hours on your feet. My Fitbit logged 15,000 steps per shift. He was like "Great!!! Then do that! Go get a cashier job!" I tried to explained that I have extreme fatigue among many other things that I would not be able to perform that job at my current level. Then he listened to my lungs, 2 breaths in, front & back, said everything sounded great. He asked me what I do for fun and at that point I started crying. I had been feeling really down and I felt so humiliated to cry in front of this man and he waved his hands at me saying " oh no no no, I just wanted to know if you like to read or garden or music. Here's what we're going to do" he got a pen and notepad and wrote, while saying out loud what he was writing and proceeded to say sleep study ( told him I'd already had one and it was normal and he said he was ordering a 3 day one to get a more in depth picture) and Echocardiogram ( told him I had already had one about a year ago and he said we're doing another) then wrote walk for 1 hour per day and go downstairs to the lab to get my blood drawn ( he ordered a full panel even though I had just had a full panel done less than 2 months prior) and then told me to make a follow up appointment for 3 months out. My dad had driven me to my appointment and asked the nurse when she came to get me how long it would take because he wanted to know if he had time to get gas at Costco . The nurse said" initial intake appointment, oh probably 45 minutes or so. You definitely have time" The visit was over in 15 minutes. I really felt like he was on speed, too much caffeine or he's just hyper and off putting! Needless to say, I do not intend to go back to him. By the time I got home he had left a message saying he wax ordering a cardiac stress test as well. Also, the sleep clinic called to schedule the sleep study which was just a 1 night test like I had already completed before. I told her the Doctor told me it was for 3 nights and she said there's no such thing unless he noted a special request, which he did not. Maybe his hyper, rapid fire, insensitive manner works for some people but this first impression for me was a NO GO! Maybe he was having an off day? ‍

Wow ~ honestly really truly I avoid the Doctor's Clinic in Kitsap County at all costs but have…read morealways had a lot of success with TDC (The Doctor's Clinic) Urgent Care. It was their doctor's that referred me to Dr Baldwin, a pulmonologist at TDC after multiple instances of pneumonia in a very short period of time. Of course, this being a first appointment, it took me several months to get in. During that period of time I had knee surgery and was on the road to recovery when I first saw Dr Baldwin. I mentioned something to him about my surgery and that all of a sudden my knee/leg started hurting again. Dr Baldwin immediately disregarded the appointment about pneumonia, but suspected a blood clot and sent me for a Doppler scan, confirmed his suspicion and got me on Warfarin and injections. He said he would be primary on this and personally called to see how I was doing. He then gave me antibiotics to have on hand if I get pneumonia again. Dr Baldwin has been a doctor that pays personal attention to his patients, not just the computer. Her takes the extra time to make personal contact and if he isn't available, his Medical Assistant Dana takes excellent care of you. They are a team that exemplifies the definition of patient care and so much more. In the short time that I have been under his care, I feel completely at ease with my new condition and am learning more about managing it without ANY apprehension off worries (this coming months after a good friend died post knee op from a blood clot). EXCELLENT DOCTOR AND MEDICAL ASSISTANT ~ stick together; you make a great team

This is an review update to recognize one of the best employees I've had the pleasure to work with…read morein the FP&SMA. For the second time in about a year I did an overnight sleep study in the Sleep Center in order to be approved for 3rd time of machine to treat my sleep apnea. As with the sleep study last time, Shannon was my assigned sleep tech (aka polysomnographic technologist). She has the innate ability to do her job while engaging in the most awesome conversation of any sleep tech I've worked with, and not counting the last two with Shannon, I've had at least three other sleep studies over the years. Sleep studies are hard for me, especially at this time of year. I had to leave my family on a Sunday night and drive 15 miles to a sleep center. It's cold and, many times, rainy. With St. Michael, the bad thing is that the center is an elevator ride down a level and a VERY long walk across the building to the door. You have to look for wall and sandwich board signs. Once at the door you press a button to have a tech buzz you in. Sitting in the lobby, you know the night will involve a bunch of stuff that you fear will prevent the sleep you're there to have for the study. And you're alone, especially after you have to power off your phone. So, for me, the procedure makes you somewhat anxious. Then Shannon comes in and tells you she'll be conducting your study for the night. Last time, we immediately hit it off because that's who she is. This time, it was a welcome reunion with an old friend. We took up the conversation where we left off. I still dislike these studies but working with Shannon, or just hearing her voice over the room intercom, relaxed me. Yes, I was able to sleep and yes, she had to wake me up a couple of times to make position adjustments to the wiring harness. But I had the best, most refreshing sleep I've had in weeks. Shannon assured me that from the preliminary results of the study my numbers looked good. This meant I responded well to the type of machine and mask used for the study. Now, I hope to never have a another sleep study but if I do, I sure hope Shannon will again be my polysomnographic technologist.

I haven't had the best experience here. The receptionists and ACTUAL Drs are ok. The lady that…read morehelped me with my machine is also great. SHARI WOOTTEN is awful and should lose her license for the things she says to people and the way she treats patients. Been here again since this review and had a better experience, so edited the rating. Brenda is great. It was like night and day on experience and professionalism. I feel like I might actually get some help now.
