I was so fortunate to find Dr. Esser at a very trying time in life. I was extremely frustrated with the major Healthcare system of big corporations such as "St. Vincent" hospital, and "The Doctors Clinic" I hadn't had medical care in many many years when I first came to Dr. Esser, to say I needed more than OBGYN care would be an understatement. Esser really takes a holistic healing approach to health. She guided me through many medical situations, helped me with my overall health, diet, nutrition, vitamins for overall well being. She is a problem solver. She puts real time into solutions varying dosages of medications until we have the right outcome. She is also an incredible surgeon. At 35 years old I was in need of a total hysterectomy- She called me from her home over the weekend to check on me. Continuing to make sure I was well. *And to the reviewers saying its hard to get an appointment- yes she does book appointments out 1 to 2 months, she is a private practitioner and she is excellent and well worth the wait*

I have never been a fan of chiropractic care, never tried it, and thought of it as not "real medicine". I came to visit and hang out with my grandson but my back was so debilitating, my daughter suggested I see her chiropractor. Hesitant, and not expecting any results, I decided to have her schedule me a visit. I thought it wasn't going to fix anything, but I'll sure give it a try so I can play with my grandson. I've recently had some cardiac issues in California, so I'm well versed with Western medicine. How was a chiropractor going to help?! Wow was I impressed! Drew asked specific questions, I actually thought "how did he know that"?! I was scared to death about my back being "popped". That's all I knew about chiropractors. He was gentle, calming, informative and explained the entire process as we're moving through the appointment. When finished, I actually felt immediate results. Questioning how. I've been to the doctor for this exact issue multiple times, all with X-rays and sent home with a muscle relaxer. Drew sent me home with NO medication, and relief! I was finally able to have a good nights sleep after being in town for 3 days. I was quite shocked at his knowledge, answering every question. Experiencing results as I walked out of the office, opened my eyes! Thank you so much Drew and to the sweet lady's running the front desk!

Yea, I have had some health issues prior to my arrival at Sound Naturopathic Clinic, but I have been treated by a naturopath in my previous state for years, addressing all of those. The purpose for my visit was to establish care and treatment for my overall health as well as the one chronic condition that needs ongoing follow-ups. It's a thyroid condition, so I need thyroid prescriptions every three months. I barely had a chance to sit down when the provider pulls out my health history and says we have a lot to go over but we won't have time to get to it all. I explained that I have been treated for years by a naturopathic doctor so my prior "conditions" were not why I was there. I explained that I have an autoimmune disease that requires prescriptions and I was there mainly to establish care and be treated for that-- my CURRENT condition. The provider rudely cut me off and sniped that she was not going to be used. I was confused, so I asked her to explain what she was talking about. She repeated that she would not be used by me. I asked her in what way she felt me coming to her for care was me using her. She said she isn't going to be used for prescriptions. (Which is a pretty ridiculous attack on my character, and also, ridiculous to accuse someone of pill shopping THYROID medicine. I again explained that I was there to be monitored and had labs to show her as well. Again, she rudely accused me of using her for prescriptions. She wasn't making sense and at this point the vibes were so toxic I removed myself from this establishment. I wholeheartedly believe she was planning on charging me for a litany of tests and procedures that I don't need at this point, and likely have already had with my previous provider. This is not a place I would refer anyone to.
