We called to set up exams for the Family and we're all able to get in within a month, on a Saturday even. The Staff were all very courteous and treated us as if we've been personal friends. They were very knowledgable and answered any questions. I recently read that they were voted as a Finalist in the Best of Central Kitsap Readers Choice Awards for Best Vision Center. I have no doubt that our Family will be staying with them for a while.

We got there early for our appointment, but even then, we didn't get going with the actual appointment until over 20 minutes past our appointment time. We were asked if contacts were considered, which was surprising since I mentioned when the appointment was made that 'it was for contacts'. Mind you I made the appointment months before. The optometrist mentioned that she could try on contacts that same day since they were in stock. I was told instead we'd have to set up another time to come in. I'm disappointed my teen did not get a chance to try on the contacts the same day of the appointment. Baffled even that she was unable to try them. In my over 20 years of wearing contacts, I've never experienced NOT being able to go home with a single pair of contacts! Let alone trying to see if she can put them in. Now we have to wait another two weeks to try them to see if they work (before putting in the order). I see a lot of new workers in the office even so, this visit is making me rethink where to go for my household eye prescriptions. I've also noticed an influx of clients. I've never seen so many in the waiting room at once.

An technician does the primary check of your eyes and then you see the doctor. They do not give you a lot of time with him. Here is the downside: I have insurance that covers one visit a year and they know it. They scheduled me prior to the year and guess what-no coverage. I talked to them and they were going to fix it. Here comes another bill and it isn't fixed. So my care rating is a 4, my back office is unacceptable. The jury is still out. Personally I like the doctor so I hope he fixes this issue...because I am getting nowhere.

The teamwork that they display is always a comforting experience. Dr. Hedahl can concentrate on the exam while his assistant writing down all the vital information. A well oiled machine if you ask me. With regards to glasses they are always knowledgeable and helpful as for me I need the reassurance that the glasses I pick out look good. If I ever have issues with my frames they continue to excel in that as well Repairing or adjusting or even one time replacing them under warrantee without an additional charge. I called to schedule an appointment ,but was told they don't accept my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket, since eye emergencies aren't covered. I agreed to pay out of pocket, and asked if I could be squeezed in by my regular doctor and she said let me ask her and I will call you right back. She never did. I will be looking for a different eye clinic that values their patient's.
