Finally, the noise got more and more frequent and I decided I just couldn't ignore it any longer. I'd have to find a mechanic. But, you know mechanics. I didn't want one who would rip me off. So, I turned to Yelp. Thank you, Yelp! Doug diagnosed that scary noise as my brake caliper (unfortunately), and showed me exactly how it was causing my brake pad to wear down unevenly. Then he got to work fixing my car. In the meantime, I called my father on the east coast (who listens to Car Talk), he agreed with the diagnosis and thought Doug was charging me a fair price for brake caliper replacement and a brake fluid flush. While he had my car, Doug did a full safety inspection which gave me peace of mind that when I drove out of there, my car was in great working order and Doug even gave me some tips for things like my next oil change. All in all, I felt like not only did I get my car repaired at Simply Auto, I found a mechanic I can trust in Doug and a place that I know that I can go back to the next time I have a problem. And that's a pretty valuable thing.

Had an inspection done on my suspension and an oil change with Tony Buck a few weeks ago. I was…read morecalled a few hours later and he suggested I replace the backing plate and new struts. When I got my car back I noticed that some of the things that I asked for were not done and I was still being charged $69. On the paperwork Tony put in the wrong oil when I confronted him about it he acknowledged that he didnt do the things I ask and then refunded some of the money. As for the oil change which cost $98, he says the paper is wrong and he did the oil change. But he never reset the computer..still says 50% oil and never put a "next service date" sticker. So how am I suppose to believe him. As for the struts he kept pulling up something that wouldn't even fit on my car. Also during that time he repositioned my license plate without my consent to the center when I like mine on the left side. I kept calling to speak with the owner, Doug and Tony always answers and tells me he isn't available. I'm writing this review to let everyone know that this mechanic is not knowledgeable or trustworthy. I will not be bringing my car back to this place.

The dealer charged an exorbitant amount to just diagnose the code by simply reading off a computer code...and then wasn't even sure about the fix without replacing my entire evap system...and wanted to charge for that whole replacement (parts + service)!!! I left frustrated and then got a recommendation from a friend to check out Brad. After calling Brad, he quickly got my truck in, and not only diagnosed the problem correctly, but also fixed it the same day...all for about the same price it cost me at the dealership to just diagnose the problem--which they couldn't do correctly to begin with. I brought my car here per my dad's recommendation as him and my sister get all their work done here. I got my car towed from my house to their shop and they were in constant communication with me, letting me know when my car got there to updates along the way. I spoke with Davey and he asked me to describe what the other shop told me was the issue and he insisted that wasn't the case and said he needed more time. He ended up calling me promptly to let me know he had diagnosed the problem and that it was GOOD NEWS. The first spot I brought my car to diagnosed a shot engine and that it would cost me $6,200 for labor and parts to fix my car. Davey and Jon at Winston diagnosed it CORRECTLY with a broken heater core and hose which after parts and labor was only an $850 FIX! Definitely not cheap and not fun to pay for, but MUCH different than $6.2k!!! I picked my car up from Davey yesterday and he was so stoked that he was able to save me the headache and MONEY that I thought I needed to fork out (or figure out if I just needed a new car). The nicest guy and TRUSTWORTHY which is huge when it comes to mechanics. Seriously can not sing their praises ENOUGH and I will be coming back here for ANY vehicle repairs from now on. P.S. We show up at 9:00, he takes the Jeep and is done in a little less time than he thought. Deducted $50 and off we went. His waiting room is immaculate, comfortable, air conditioned and very pleasant. If I lived here, I would definitely go back to John at Skyline Auto. He is polite, efficient and a professional.

Brought my car in for what I thought was a leaky water pump and probable timing belt tensioner…read morenoise. So I agreed to do both. during work it was discovered that the radiator also leaked so I agreed to replacing that as well. When I met with John to pick the car up he simply handed me my keys and said he wasn't going to charge me for any of the work performed due to the shops inability to correct a new starting issue with the vehicle he suggested that it runs fine and starts perfect most the time, so maybe I just drive it. Suggested I could take it to another shop and diagnose what's wrong with it but really it wasn't a big runability issue. So now I'm thinking what the heck did you do to my car, so I took it to GM in Auburn and paid for diagnosis. John expects that I should be happy with the fact I didn't have to pay for any of the work that he performed on the vehicle. In his mind evidently future repairs which are substantial plus the car I had to rent because this was my daily is all on me, not his problem. Now my car sits in the GM backlot waiting for a camshaft that is backordered for a month or two​. What I would explain as a massive lack of integrity from the shop, because this is not how you treat customers. Aaron 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.8L with 86 thousand miles. What they found was an absolute shocker.. John's shop had broken the exhaust camshaft and then repaired it with what looks to be 5-minute epoxy.. 5 MINUTE EPOXY!

He ask that we send him the license plate number and VIN number. we sent to him then crickets!(No response). We called him several times to get the estimate on fixing it and I got no answer from phone calls or voice mails. We don't have $160 to throw away but I guess lesson learned. We are people of color and I truly believe once he saw us he didn't want to do business.
