After two of my next door neighbors had them replace their 30 year old furnaces I got to watch them in action. So I knew that I had to have them replace mine. They went above and beyond by putting a small door in the front to more easily access the filter. They also were considerably less expensive than other company's prices. And I learned a lot about how my furnace works. On top of that they installed and programmed a new thermostat. Friendly and knowledgeable! It was great experience!

He unwired the existing TACO thermostat controller and could not re-wire it to get it working again as it was before he started the work. He constantly complained about the radiant floor installer and put them blame on them, but the system worked fine before he ruined it. I called in a different plumber to service the system in 2025 and found that the wrong expansion tank was installed. He installed a potable expansion tank on the radiant heat side of the system and did not install an expansion tank on the potable water side. The system was also missing a heat release valve and the exhaust for the boiler was not properly sloped for the condensation that the system creates. I would not recommend this plumber.

I highly recommend this company should you have any plumbing needs.

From start to finish, this local company demonstrated why supporting small businesses can often lead to exceptional experiences. The owner, Joel, personally visited our home twice to ensure we received the perfect unit at an unbeatable price. His hands-on approach and dedication to customer satisfaction were evident throughout the process. What truly set Montanos apart was their ability to offer a bid that came in thousands below larger competitors in the area, such as Home Comfort Alliance and Product Air Heating & Cooling, without compromising on quality or warranties. I must admit, I was initially skeptical when I learned that Patrick, their sales and installation coordinator, was a recent customer himself. However, my reservations quickly dissipated as I witnessed the team's expertise, efficiency, and genuine commitment to excellence. The entire experience with Montanos was characterized by professionalism, honesty, and a refreshing no-nonsense approach. They were consistently responsive, patient with our questions, and demonstrated a level of integrity that is all too rare in today's market. The installation process was seamless, with the team arriving promptly and completing the work efficiently, leaving our home spotless. What truly stands out is the combination of cost savings and superior service. We saved over $5,000 and had our system installed a week sooner than the closest competitor, all while receiving the same comprehensive warranties (10 years on parts, 1 year on labor). This level of value without sacrificing quality is a testament to Montanos' commitment to their customers and I hope they will continue to honor this practice as they carry in to the future. While I rarely write reviews, this experience compelled me to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. Montanos Heating & Cooling has proven that local small businesses can not only compete but excel in ways that larger companies often cannot match. They have earned my highest recommendation, and I encourage anyone in need of HVAC services to give them a chance. You'll likely find yourself, as I did, thrilled to have discovered this gem of a company. For those who have made it this far in my review and are still considering Montanos Heating & Cooling, here's a detailed timeline of my experience: - (07/30) Initial Contact & Bid: Joel, the owner, responded to our call in the AM and provided a same-day consultation/bid that PM. - (07/30 - 08/01) Research & 3rd Party Bids: Joel offered a no-pressure explanation, patiently answering all our questions and providing transparency throughout. I researched wholesale prices for units, permitting, etc. I collected bids from several other businesses in the area - (08/01) Winning Bid: We received an updated bid, over $5,000 cheaper than other quotes for the same Bosch unit, including new copper lines and necessary permits. - (08/02) Contract & Down Payment: A 10% down payment was required to secure the installation date. Joel triple-checked everything again before he left to ensure a smooth installation. - (08/07) Installation Day: - Joel sent SMS with ETA approx. ~1hr before arrival. - The crew arrived promptly by 8:30 AM. - Work was completed efficiently, well before 4 PM. - The installation was carried out with meticulous attention to detail and aesthetics. - Clean-Up: The team respectfully removed the old unit and thoroughly cleaned the work area, leaving our home in pristine condition. I hope this review finds its way to customers in search of a quality heating and cooling company and that it helps shine a light on this diamond of a business in the rough. In a heating and cooling landscape often marred by dishonest practices and growing consolidation and acquisitions by private equity firms, Montanos Heating & Cooling stands out as a beacon of integrity, quality, and customer-focused service. Their commitment to excellence and fair pricing makes them a true local gem in the industry, one that deserves recognition and support from discerning homeowners. I'll end this review and just say, "I get it now, Patrick!"

The fireplace is double sided and the focal point as soon as you walk in. The main source of the leak was fixed but we were at a loss trying to get fireplace companies to help us remediate the lines to the fireplace. CM Heating Review…read more We decided to go with CM Heating for several reasons. Their reviews online were very good. I talked to my neighbors to hear what their experience was and CM Heating name was brought up a couple times as a stand out company. The sales person Amber was very professional and gave us a ton of information. She was instantly responsive when I had questions. We got 3 bids for this job. I took all the information and used AI to compare the mountain of info to get its take in the bids. Cm Heating consistently had the edge over the others. The main reason was the warranty. If you are spending a fair amount of money, you need a good warranty. All said and done CM Heating was the winner Getting an install date was a breeze. All the detail work was handled by them. The office sent me the permits to print and post. Install Day I was notified of the time they would arrive and the guys were right on time Tim and Melvin sized up the job and jumped in at full speed. Melvin worked on the furnace Tim on the Heat Pump. These guys never stopped the entire time except when my wife brought them some home made chocolate chip cookies. I was very impressed with their performance. We had questions along the way and they provided answers immediately. Great trustworthy people. By the time they were done all the areas were spotless. Obviously I made the correct decision going with CM Heating and I would highly recommend them

When it stopped heating in Winter (thankfully, we have back-up propane), CM quoted us $3,200 for a thermal expansion valve (TXV) replacement. They explicitly said that while the parts were covered under warranty, the labor was not. We got a second opinion -- and while the part failed, the second company pointed out that we had a 10 year parts and labor warranty (he was easily able to get to this info, which means CM should have, too -- especially since they sold it to me). I've now called CM several times to inform them that they need to cover the repair, but I've been ghosted. I assume this is likely because they can charge a higher rate for labor on a customer-pay job than they can be paid by the warranty company and are hoping I'll go to another company, but I have no proof of that. As far as I'm concerned, they sold me the unit and the warranty -- and they can do the repair. Once the warranty is over? I'll never deal with CM again.
