Nazy has been grooming my Mini Schnauzer for a few years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. She loves him... and he loves her. He gets so excited when he realizes where I'm taking him and she always greets him with a lot of affection. Nazy doesn't crate him and he's "made friends" with her dogs. What's especially important to me is how she grooms him. I don't want the standard Schnauzer cut: I much prefer a "puppy cut" and if you saw him you'd see how cute he looks - just like a stuffed animal. It seems so simple but I've previously had groomers disagree with as to how his hashould be cut. She always asks me if I want the same cut or anything done differently. Recently I have had her leave his beard a bit longer. Full disclosure: there are times my dog is at Perfect Pups for many hours. The best groomer in Simi Valley, the owner is so kind and really cares for your dogs. She treats them as if they were her own. All three of my doodles get excited every time we see her. I have never had a bad experience and my dogs have always walked out looking amazing. I have 3 large size doodles (which there hair can be difficult to maintain) the owner has helped get all three on a great maintenance routine that has avoided any matting in there fur. I have personally experienced with my 3 doodles at another groomer, them walking out shaven due to the groomer not wanting to take there time on the doodles hair. He is scared of people and other dogs and she has gone above and beyond to help him get used to not only the process of bathing, but establishing a relationship with him as she does with all her pups there. The first time I came to Nazy, I was bringing in a very sick & sad Yorkie (Calvin) whose owner was in the hospital. I had no appointment and Calvin hadn't been groomed in over a year. Nazy agreed to take care of him right away. Unfortunately his owner passed away a week later and Calvin followed a few weeks after that. The care and love Nazy showed Calvin was beyond what i could have expected. I now bring my 2 yorkies to her even though I live 25 minutes away. Nazy's patience is unmatched. She may take longer but it is only because she is careful and in tune with the dogs needs. I'd rather have that than a quick 2 hour appointment where my dog is tied up or muzzled and scared. read more

Absolutely awful. Called because of the great reviews here on yelp. Told her I have a Great Pyrenees (100lbs of fur). She didn't seem to know the breed and I told her my pup was huge and has a very thick undercoat. She quoted me $40. Told me she had a ton of experience with "large" dogs such as German Shepherds and Huskies. I told her my dog was much bigger than those. I dropped my dog off at 10am and I told her I needed to pick her up at 2pm, no later. She seemed to have never seen a GP before, and told me the quote she gave would actually be a little more money, I said not a problem. An hour later I get a call saying my dog is going to take longer because of the undercoat. I told her no thank you. Just finish brushing her and do not give her a bath if it will take too long. She then assured me she would be done in time. She never called me by 2. So I called her and she said my dog had been sitting there waiting for me. I go pick her up with my husband, this woman proceeds to tell us how matted our dog was. My husband and I have brushed her 3 to 4 times a week since she was 8 weeks old. I told her she must not be familiar with a Great Pyrenees' undercoat. She went on and on for 10 minutes about how difficult my dog was to brush, as I had already told her I was late to an appointment. She then charged me over $80, I told her no problem I knew she didn't understand how big my dog was when she quoted me. She asked if I could bring my dog back the next week to finish brushing her. I told her no problem and brought her back when she wanted her to come. When I dropped her off I saw a ton of dogs waiting for their bath. Mind you she works just herself and one helper. I asked her how long, she told me she wasn't sure but not too long. 4 hours later I call and check and she says my dog isn't ready. I told her she needed to start because it was just a brush, it shouldn't take longer than the previous brush and bath the week before. 20 minutes later I get a call my dog is done. I pick her up and was told how my dog's undercoat was all matted. Again. I asked her how my dog could get matted in a matter of 3 days since she last brushed her. She started yelling at me in front of other customers. She brought my dog out who was terrified. And told me I owed her $40 for the brush. My jaw dropped and I handed her my card and said that is insane for just a brush(after she had just brushed her days earlier). She then continued to yell very rude things to me and threw my card back at me and said to never come back. I told her I wasn't planning on it. I then saw her employee the next day around town and he apologized for her behavior saying she has done that to a lot of people since he had been working there. He has since quit because of her treatment towards him. She might be good with small dogs, but has no experience with large breed dogs with thick undercoats. Her attitude was something I could never make up. Very sad about the whole situation. ***I want to add, the owner responded to my review and blatantly lies about a "slip of the tongue". I know what kind of dog I have. I am extremely proud of the breed I so much researched and finally decided on. Over the phone I told her about my dog's very, very thick undercoat so there would be no misunderstanding. I told her over and over again and she assured me it would be okay. I never once apologized for "slipping up" my dog's breed. She never even said she heard Great Dane over the phone. This is the first I am hearing of this. This goes to show the honesty of this woman and her business. Please think twice before you support her or her business......very disappointing Nazy.*** read more

Horrible! I have a Golden Retriever, beautiful dog. He had an appointment for 1pm, I called to follow up at 3, she said it would be 45 minutes. I called again, another 20 min...I called again...still not done yet. I went to the place, still NOT done yet and would be another 30 min. They hadn't even started on him yet. However when they did bring him out, I gasped! "He looks horrible!" Just blurted it out! I was horrified, he was uneven, had a nick that was bleeding and his tail was completely awful. First of all, it took them 6 1/2 hours, with me continuously following up. Zero phone calls from them directly to let me know it was taking them longer. I believe they were doing other dogs in front of mine for whatever reason. I asked her how much I owed and she didn't charge me. So that alone will tell you that they KNEW they did a terrible job on Saber. I couldn't believe it took them this long and did such a terrible, terrible job. I will NEVER recommend this place or take my dogs back there again. Ever! read more

Our visit to Perfect Pups Spa this week was by far the best grooming experience I've had to date. I've got two large huskies who shed at an incredible rate during these hotter months in SoCal. My dogs immediately loved Nazy and the feeling was mutual, she's a true animal lover that will take great care of your pets; this is especially important to me as I'm very anxious leaving them in the care of others. My pups smell amazing and their coats look incredible. Considering how avidly I maintain their coats myself, I can't believe the drastic decrease in shedding. We got our Freddie in next day after he rolled around on the freshly fertilized lawn and he came out so incredibly soft and gorgeous... and happy!! We have brought Jackson, our Husky/Golden mix, to Nazi for years. He is never excited about going for grooming, but the minute he sees her, he immediately relaxes and even walks right into the shop. The new location and amenities are fantastic. Jackson was able to talk around a bit to settle in, and then there is the incredible doggy lounge she created where Jackson was waiting for us to pick him up. What a fantastic idea! We love Nazy and Perfect Pets! We have a high maintenance long hair doxie we cut short because he's a handful and loves the dirt and his tummy and chest are so low to the ground if we don't he is a mess! It's funny Nazy groomed our baby his first time ever went she worked at Pet Depot and I mistakenly forgot she opened this place when they closed and randomly brought him in a year or so later and he instantly loved and remembered her. Nazy loves our baby too and requests time to play with him too after he's done which we don't mind. He gets excited and tinkles most times and she is sweet about it and cleans it for me. He always looks great, smells good and is a happy boy after a day with Nazy and her team. And he always gets a good report from her about playing with his friends!
