I've been a raving fan of this place since 1st day I used this spot. One that day, I had a day off and I wanted to get my dog looking good. Other groomers were booked until Fri but after leaving a voicemail, Chris called me back and scheduled me in for 11a. Greeted us as we walked in. Had me fill out 1 page of basic contact info to fill out when I arrived. After that, someone came out right away to pick up my pet. They said they would call me when he's ready. I made an appointment for my two hairy Dogs One is A Maltipoo and The other is a Shihpoo. I arrived and Told them Exactly what I Wanted .. I told the men on the desk which seems to be the husband that wanted A TEDDY BEAR HAIRCUT FOR BOTH. Since we're still in winter. I get there and my maltipoo is completely naked????! Why??? There is NO WAY my 11month old dog was matted. she was at the groomers 8weeks ago. Why would you give a Dog a Summer Cut during winter. I used to take my dog to K Pet Grooming but no after last inside time where I noticed my dog had cuts and was acting very strange. Looked almost like he was scared/had anxiety for a while when he usually does not act like that. I just picked up my beautiful collie. She is 7 years old and has been groomed her whole life, often. I recently moved to Simi Valley. I set up an appointment at PetSmart, She came home worse than ever, so I was very worried to go somewhere else. But if you have ever had an indoor collie , not being groomed is not an option. Really fantastic! I called in on a Saturday morning and was able to get a same day appointment for my puppies very first hair cut. The staff was friendly and super respectful. It only took an hour and a half and she was ready exactly when they said she would be. I love that they keep the dogs in a fenced in area instead of a crate and go out of their way to make sure that you and your animal are comfortable. The price was AMAZING, a wash, brush, blow dry, nail trimming/file AND hair cut for $40!! I have no reason to take her anywhere else for future grooming needs. Thank you! read more

My family and I have been taking our dogs here for years! I have since moved to the thousands oaks area and I still come to Simi for my pups grooming. They do such a good job and I absolutely LOVE that they don't keep the dogs in cages. There is an area with a fence for them to run free or be kept secured. We have never had an issue here and I trust them completely. I highly recommend this place over others in the area, they do good work and my dog always looks and smells his best after his grooms. My daughter recommended them after I complained to her about the outrageous grooming fees I had been paying and that I had to schedule appointments 6-8 weeks out, which isn't always practical. I've taken my dogs there several times now. I can get next day appointments. I am paying less than half of what I was paying at prior groomers and my dogs are not acting traumatized. The groomers are all very friendly and seem very loving to the animals they are attending to. I highly recommend this groomer!! read more

My pup has never been to the groomer before. She's a tad skittish but I'm trying to get her socialized. K Pet was recommended and I thought Sadie's in the car, time to start the process. I "walked in" at 10:37am on a Thursday and the place was buzzing. Dogs everywhere..roaming behind the fence like they were at home. That's a good sign I thought. Chris helped me and we set up Sadie for a bath and brush. Chris said "about an hour and a half." Off I went. Fifteen minutes later, I called Chris to ask him to include a nail clipping. "No problem." Within two hours, Chris called and said Sadie was ready. When I picked her up the groomer gave me some additional insight and she was right on with her comments regarding Sadie but said Sadie did well and enjoyed her spa day. I ended up picking up my dog because the manager and groomer were giving me a nasty attitude . I do not recommend testing them out ! read more

First time using this groomer and I am very happy. My dog was matted and hadn't been groomed in a few months. I was pleasantly suprised that she didn't need to be cut all the way down. My dog is fussy and hard to groom, but Kyra said she was fine. I love how they don't use cages. They instead have open fencing separating the areas. I will definitely be going back with my other dogs and highly reccommend this shop. One caveat--- Make sure your dogs have the bordetella vaccine. I've been taking my three dogs to them now for a couple years. The lady that does the grooming is fantastic. I believe it is her husband that runs the front desk. He is terrible at customer service. You need to get some one else up there because he is ruining your business. Last month he gave me an appointment a week out, and then cancels that morning. This morning I called and the earliest he could get one dog in was in one week,okay so he puts me on hold. Five minutes later I hear buttons being pushed and then click, he hangs up on me. He seems overwhelmed every time I'm in there or on the phone with him. I'm sorry but that was it. I hate to write a bad review for you guys, but it needs to be fixed. read more

This place is reasonably priced, and staff is friendly. It may be a better experience if you have a smaller dog. I have a year and a half old golden retriever, who reacts to grooming salons as if it is the vet. He plants his feet at the door and refuses to cross the threshold. I usually have to pick up all 65 lbs of him and carry him in like a baby. That being said, we can take him to petsmart of all places and by the time we pick him up he is all tail wags and kisses for the people there. When we picked him up from this place he just wanted to get the hell outta there. I asked them to only trim the back of his hind legs, no where else. Another place we took him called it Fancy Pants. They hardly touched that area, and instead chopped up the rest of his beautiful coat just like I asked them not to do. On top of that, I'm pretty sure they sedated him. I'm not sure if they have that in the fine print of the paper I signed. Either way it seems like that is something they should mention. i was one of the first customer's here, and my pup loves coming! He is never nervous about getting groomed by his best buds here, they all know him by name. In fact, his picture is up on their wall! But regardless, everytime i've picked him up, he has been happy and I have personally never seen him confined or upset/nervous/shaking. I received a call informing me that they were going to cancel my appointment the day before my appointment ( I scheduled my appointment 4 days prior). This would have been the first time I took my dog to this groomer. I was trying to see if this would be a good location to take my husky for a weekly bath but it looks like they rather take Friday off instead of actually keeping there word. It's upsetting for me to see a business be totally fine with losing a new customer and the gentleman on the line was really rude when I told him to try to honor the time I was given and he wasn't having it.
