Took my baby Dexter (11yrs old, still my baby) to Ranee's Rascals for grooming and was really satisfied with the service. For starters, I called the day before hoping to get an appointment within the week but Ranee was able to groom Dexter the next day! Her price was very reasonable too! Will definitely bring Dexter back. read more

Ranee grooms dogs out of her home in Thousand Oaks. I have taken my dog to her a few times. Every time she asked me to leave a review on Yelp & I hesitated because I'd prefer not to leave a bad review, but she kept asking. The quality of my dog's cut was poor. I've taken him to Petsmart, Fur-ever in Westlake, and I've cut his hair myself. Ranee was by far the worst. I can do it better myself, and I am by no means a pro! Both times I took him there she failed to follow the instructions I gave her. His feet & other areas were incomplete. Think about this: If you take your dog to a business and are unhappy with the cut, you can ask them to modify it and you can return later. That won't happen with Ranee. She cuts dogs hair out of her home. She is likely uninsured, so if your dog get hurt--you are SOL. Do the wise thing and take your dog to a professional groomer. It will cost $10 more than Ranee, but you will get a better cut. read more

I have two large dogs that are very sweet but don't like to be more than six feet apart from one another. She does a great job keeping one occupied and happy while she grooms the other one. First off I was completely surprised that Renee's Rascals was in her garage at her home. When I called there was no mention that this was at a residents home. Secondly she was so unprofessional I am completely surprised by the other reviews. I don't like to give anyone bad reviews but I felt that for this grooming place it was important as my dogs are my babies and I would not bring them back here. read more

I just had my three rescue dogs groomed by Ranee today and she did a wonderful job at a reasonable price. Score! She shaved one of my dogs (a terrier mix) and no burn marks from the razor - which is a first for him. Ranee is like the dog whisper. We brought our Morkie to her first and was so happy with how sweet and good she was with her. I mentioned that other groomers told us there was nothing we could do with our pitbull's claws, as I was dying at the claw marks he was making on my brand new wood floors, she sat patiently with him and trimmed them down perfectly. Only taken my pups once so far but cant complain. The location, price and comfort of my pets is important to me. My Tibetan had been un groomed for way too long and even I couldn't get his knots out. But even though she had to cuts out his knots he still looked cute. Love the cut of my Havanese. Now I read the one bad review and wondered if you were so unhappy why would you go back? My pup looks fabulous every month when I take her to Ranee. I also take my Irish Wolfhound/Lab mix to Ranee and he is usually anti-bath but she puts him to ease and he actually enjoys his bath now. I've been going to a dog groomer for the last 7 years. My dog would always have anxiety when we got there and I would have to carry her in. I took my 2 sweet poodle mixes to Ranee and she did a wonderful job grooming them. They had not been groomed in 7 months as I could not find a groomer I trusted. Ranee (pronounced like rainy) Bevan is the owner of Ranee's Rascals. (Someone else listed her as Rainee The Dog Groomer on yelp) She's fantastic. She is a fully trained groomer with many years of experience. She used to be a groomer at one of the large pet supply chains but has had her own business now for about 4 years. I literally would not let anyone else work on my dog. She has a fantastic rapport with all breed of dogs and is super knowledgeable about cuts and breeds. She really cares about your dog. She will become your dog's best friend. She will let you know when there is any possible health issue she spots while grooming your dog. Her prices are very reasonable (better than pet salons or big box pet supply stores) and the level of service care your dog gets far exceeds what you would get from a salon or big box pet chain. She works around your schedule, so whatever day or time your need, she can fit you in. What I especially love about her service is that your dog is the only dog she works on. She's a private dog groomer, so it's just your dog getting 100% of her attention. Your dog get's done and comes home, no sitting around in cages being miserable, frightened, or unattended. The motto for her business is "The place where ALL dogs are part of the family." And it's totally true. She will treat your dog like it's her own. We have a 90 lb Goldendoodle (Hunter) and Ranee does a great job clipping him. We were clipping him ourselves but Ranee is so affordable and does such a good job. She has him in and out of there in 3 hours or less. How can you beat that? :) We highly recommend her! read more

I could not be happier with Ranee and how she takes such good care of my dog, Chloe. First let me say, I now drive 40 miles to continue taking Chloe to Ranee's since I've moved out if Thousand Oaks. Chloe is a poodle but she doesn't know it, she just thinks she's a dog, which means rolling in the dirt among other things. Did I mention she is white, or supposed to be? When she comes to Ranee, she is usually more coffee au lait. I get Chloe a simple teddy bear cut along with her paws shaved so it looks like she has high waters on. She also has a sensitive cheek...if it gets cut to close she'll start scratching until it bleeds. From the first time I brought Chloe to Ranee and explained the situation, I have had no problems! I don't know what else I can say other than she is the best! Oh, Chloe never fights when I take her. She walks right up to Ranee which tells me that she's well taken care of! read more
