Both times that I tried Swaggs, I was greeted and talked to somewhat rudely by one of the groomers. I let that go and went back a second time, only to be received rudely again. The feedback was that my 8 month old puppy moved her head while trying to cut her face. She's a puppy. Also, was recommended a shitzu cut when I have a Lhasa apso. Overall, I did not feel appreciated and paid $100 for lousy customer service where I really did not welcome in their establishment. Which is crazy, because I have a really sweet dog that loves everyone and everyone loves back. It was just so weird. Still searching for a good fit for a groomer. I know there is competition in the area and other grooming businesses that are aware that customer service and client relationships are how you build a strong following and enjoy successful longevity as a business owner. read more

I brought my 55 lb American Bully, Jimmy, to Roberto for a bath and nail trim and I swear he walked out like he was auditioning for a dog shampoo commercial. He has never been this clean in his entire life. His coat is shiny, soft, and smells so good that I immediately buried my face in it like a crazy dog mom. The nails are trimmed and rounded perfectly. No sharp edges, no quicking, nothing. Just little bully toes looking red carpet ready. I mentioned Jimmy's hyperkeratosis on his back paws only so that Roberto would not be surprised by it. I was not expecting anything extra. Roberto took one look, handled it gently, and helped his paws without hesitation. It was like getting surprise VIP treatment and I did not even know I was in the VIP section. And now we need to talk about the ears. Every other groomer has told me they cleaned them and then I would look and think, okay but where. Roberto cleaned his ears for real. They are spotless. They look like brand new ears. I almost cried. we recently got a husky mix, (hazel) who was basically feral with her own litter and a scared of her own shadow. she had a very time adjusting to being inside and without her puppies, plus her undercoat was coming out in clumps !! we booked with Swaggs a week after we got her and they were able to get her deshedded and bathed No problem! she loves going and her deshed seem to last at least a month or longer! it's our first time with any kind of longer haired breed and they have made maintenance easy and basically effortless on our part. so a few months later we get another; very sweet pittie mix girl who was dumped while pregnant. she is sweet as can be, so we tried to bathe her ourselves, BIG MISTAKE, she was SO STINKY and her skin was so irritated. we took her to Swaggs the next day, and they were able to bathe her; trim her nails, and express her glands no problem, although they confirmed she isn't the biggest fan of water. i was very happy to not have a super stinky pup! i also appriciate how they seem to pretty promptly call us to pick up our pup so they don't sit in the kennels too long! they really are professionals and my two very weird traumatized dogs, LOOOVE going, they run right in! highly recommend :) read more

My 2 dogs were groomed in a Swaggs 2 days ago. very important - I brushed all mats out very thoroughly before I gave them to groom to Swaggs. I have all special brushes and a spray for that. Both dogs were checked for mats were checked and it was admitted that they do not have mats. One of my dogs is a golden doodle. I asked them to do a short teddy bear cut. They did it pretty well. I only asked to short hairs on her ears a bit more. 'The second dog is the 13 years miniature poodle. When they brought him out after the grooming - I was astonished. I did not recognize my poodle. 'He was simply shaved. No fur on his body, ears and tail were left. They were all too worried about his age and the amount of matts to give him a chance. In just 2 hours he went from this to that! She didn't even have to cut the matts out! She could have taken the easy way out by cutting it but she was able to brush them all out...this is 2 years worth of matts! He looks like a brand new dog! I was very distressed to find that when my dog Duke was groomed here, they cut his whiskers completely off. I noticed this when he had trouble playing fetch, as dogs use their whiskers for a myriad of things balance and spacial awareness amongst them. when I called to notify them about what had happened, they informed me that they ALWAYS cut off the whiskers completely. when I asked them how long they had been doing that ...they replied 22 years. I then asked them if they had any idea of what a dog uses their whiskers for, and they did not. Really? I thought you cared for dogs, and you don't know anything about them? such ignorance after 22 years. how can you not know something so obvious? makes me very leery of the staffs ability, no matter how much they cater to a fancy crowd. don't be fooled. apparently they don't know much about the animals they are supposed to care for. in their defense, they said they would be calling a vet about the matter today. so... 22 years of ineptitude, no apology. read more
