Perfect Pint is such a fun hidden gem at Ontario Mills! I honestly didn't realize this little spot was right by the AMC theater. The frozen custard is incredibly rich, creamy, and flavorful, and they have so many unique flavors that it was hard to choose just one. Perfect Pint offers delicious frozen custard with quality ingredients out of a cute little airstream outside of the AMC, Ontario. Plenty of free parking. I wasn't sure what to order and the server was very friendly and helped me make my selections by giving me info on the flavor profiles of the custards I was interested in. I ended up choosing Black Forest (the first flavor that they created) and Honey Creme Brûlée, both of which are gluten free. BF was delicious! There were chunks of Belgian chocolate chips and organic Morello cherry throughout the chocolate custard that added nice texture to the ultra rich and creamy custard. I think the sweet cream layer was decorative as it wasn't very flavorful on its own and wasn't noticeable when mixed into the rest of the custard. I was a little disappointed to notice that some of the topmost outer layers had freezer burn. It wasn't the entire pint, but it was a quality issue that I wasn't expecting from a well crafted dessert. Aside from that, it was tasty and I still enjoyed it. HCB was actually my favorite of the two. The custard is flavored with local unfiltered honey which gave it a pleasant warm sweet taste that was complemented by the ribbons of brûléed sugar. The gooey texture of those sugar ribbons was my favorite part of this flavor. Overall both custards were ultra creamy, decadent, well balanced desserts, with outstanding texture, and quality of the ingredients is apparent in each bite. The downside? Pints are pricey....$20 a pint. But as I mentioned they are decadent (and have quality ingredients) and so the pints are not really meant to be finished in one sitting. It's a nice treat to have in the freezer and have a few spoonfuls of or share with a friend. Definitely a great treat if you love frozen dessert and appreciate quality ingredients. read more

When craving something sweet, creamy, and in Ontario stop by Perfect Pint. They are conveniently located in front of Ontario Mills near the AMC movie theater. It's a shiny airstream trailer that can't be missed. They also have a huge sign on the side of the trailer so you can't miss it. The ambiance is cute and intimate. However, there is no seating right there. You can't miss go into the mall and enjoy your custard in the food court. Raylen assisted us and as soon as we walked up, she instantly came out to help and answer questions. She gave us amazing service so make sure to ask for her. Now on to the food part. I ordered 3 different pints at $20 a piece. They also offer 1/2 pints for $12. It's a bit pricey but they are delicious and made with quality ingredients. Also, this is not ice cream, it's frozen custard. It's a lot richer and full bodied in favor. My least favorite was the Honey Creme Brûlée. It's honey custard with raw honey and brûléed sugar ribbon. The honey was a bit over powering and this cream was extremely sweet for me, nothing like crème brûlée because the original dessert has a subtle sweetness. It was still delicious but if you don't like anything too sweet consider a different flavor. The black Forrest cake is a chocolate cherry custard with maraschino cherries, dark chocolate chunks with a sweet cream layer and shaved chocolate. I enjoyed this one although it was more the essence of Black Forest cake. I didn't really get and cherry pieces but it had chocolate chunks throughout. I also wish there was more of the sweet cream layer or if it was marbled into it instead of a super think layer on the top. Despite that, it was still yummy but just tasted like a cherry chocolate ice cream. The southern banana pudding was my favorite. My only critique would be to have actual banana in it. It's banana custard and claims there's ripe banana in there with vanilla wafers but I didn't have one piece of banana in it. There were plenty of wafers in it. This one tastes exactly like the name with the exception of banana pieces. Overall, I would come back but would not buy so many because the 3 were $63. Ouch! Also, when advertising and describing these flavors the way you do, please make sure the custard is full of these flavors because two of them were highly lacking the ingredients claimed. I tried the Nutella s'mores frozen custard! It was delicious! Thick, strong-flavored chocolate! I thought the portion size was good, and I liked how it was tightly packed into the pre-packaged container - even with a pretty top to it like gelato. And the color-changing spoon was a fun surprise! Only complaint is the $12 price. It really should be more like... maybe $8 at most. I think I had a heart attack when I saw the price of the pint, cause I almost died but still bought it . $20 for a pint is quite the price and sometimes it's a hit or miss and for me it was a miss . I got the cappuccino toffee one and the presentation looks nice but it's nothing out of the ordinary and for $20 a pint or $12 for half the pint which looks smaller than half I expected my mouth to explode . Perhaps it was the flavor i got , maybe it's underwhelming but I don't think I'd risk trying another with those prices . The customer service however was great , really sweet staff . read more

Me and a friend have been wanting to try this place out for a while and man, place did not disappoint at all! We tried and shared 8 different flavors and really guys, they all were delicious! My favorite is the Honey Creme Brulee and also the Pistachio Raspberry which is gluten free. They have a wide range of other gluten free flavors as well. There are no prices on their posters or menu board as well as on their brochure! It is a misleading customers !! When my card was charged $14 including a custom $1 tip I added !!! The half pint seemed a single scoop from other ice cream place! The taste is just the same regular ice cream and i was expecting a more custard taste as stated on their poster ads ... I had no idea there was another ice cream place in the Mills. Technically, it is right outside the food court, near the AMC and Nike entrance. We came on a Sunday afternoon. Perfect Pint is a little silver metallic trailer/stand, easy to spot. The employee greeted us when we came close to the trailer to see the menu. On the menu, they have a variety of different unique creations. Most of the flavors are gluten free! We let her know that we wanted it gluten free and she signaled to the flavors and how it denotes the gf next to it. We chose the honey crème brûlée and the Black Forest cake flavors. She asked if we wanted it half pint or full. I was a little confused about why the pint question (HAH). She then gave us 1/2 pint containers! I was really expecting her to scoop it up and give to us in a cup or cone. It came out to $25. The honey crème brûlée was good, basically a creamy honey and vanilla. The Black Forest cake was my favorite, with its chocolate chunks and cherry flavor. After trying both and noting the differences, this is a custard and not like an ice cream. I noticed on the container it is based out in Palm Desert and they have a few other locations in So Cal. I would definitely be back to try their other gf flavors! read more

Visited the perfect pint with my husband & tried the Cookies & Cream and Lemon Blackberry. Both flavors were good and not overly sweet. The Cookies & Cream was simple and classic, while the Lemon Blackberry had a nice light sweetness. Bri was working the stand when I stopped to check out Perfect pint. She was super sweet and knowledgeable of all the flavors. I chose the small Honey Crème Brûlée and it was really good. The texture is between ice cream and the marshmallow-y-ness of gelato. The caramelized sugar/honey is layered through out so you get a good ratio of vanilla to honey. It's definitely sweet, but just under the threshold of overly. I'll definitely comeback to try Bri's recommended flavor, Pistachio Raspberry. read more

I believe they are based out of Palm Springs and this is one of their satellite locations. I ended up ordering a pint of the Southern Banana Pudding as a treat to go watch a movie with. I do love banana pudding and this frozen custard hit the spot! You can tell the product is of high quality. The person I ordered from was very friendly and enthusiastic about the product. The vibe is what you would expect from a hustle and bustle area at a popular shopping/dining/entertainment destination. Okay so here's the thing. The price is a little higher than what I would usually spend for an ice cream to walk around with. They do come in little cartons so you can purchase and bring home.
