It was incredibly soft, fluffy, and just melts in your mouth The carne asada was sooo tender and packed with flavor--perfectly seasoned and juicy in every bite And let's talk about the horchata ... PERFECTION. It had the perfect balance of sweetness--you could really taste the cinnamon and it wasn't overly sugary at all. The girl that worked there was super helpful, polite, and was good at making suggestions on tweaks for better flavor. Since she left we've given them many opportunities to provide the stellar service she did. Not only does the service lack. But the food is now sub par. First time trying Izzy's and was extremely disappointed. The guy that took our order seemed annoyed and kept walking away. I ordered a torta and asked for no mayonnaise then when I got home it had extra mayonnaise, the pastor was dry and looked old, the asada was descent but dry as well. I first want to say this place deserves a restaurant. However let's just keep it local haha. Amazing Food,I've had tacos,mulitas,tortas you name it we've tried it. The carne asada is very delicious tender and has that nice grill texture. The chicken is good as well however I'm not a fan of the pastor but that won't stop me from coming here. They even set out a small table and a few chairs for waiting and eating. Wish they opened earlier in the day. The usual order is 3 cabeza tacos, 2 asadas, and 1 whatever screams out that day. Yup! Just verified what all the rave is all about. These tacos have some of the best flavors Ive had in the area. The tacos have some bomb explosive savory want some more in them. I had tripas (bomb) carne asada (bomb) pastor(bomb). The service was outstanding, I arrived before they officially opened, and the difference was that instead of sending me away, I was greeted and told that they can take my order and immediately started working on my order. The prices are reasonable in contrast with today's economy. Although they are outdoors, the ambiance is chill with plenty of shade and seats. What more can you want, other than more tacos. The food was good it was my first time eating. I arrived no one greeted me the lady who was there was sitting outside seemed bothered by me arriving. Went inside and just walked to her register nothing just stood there I asked a few questions the she took my order I paid she handed me a device. Then I sat there waiting my buzzer rang I walked up just hand me my order. No thank you nothing for a small business I was hoping for more friendly service. Prices are fair and the food is authentic and delicious. I always get a torta de asada and tacos de tripa are my favorite. The asada has a good taste to it, the bread was soft and firm ... if that makes sense, very nice size... delicious! The Tripas were clean and crispy but overly crispy a little soft in the center and diced up. It is with a heavy heart and an empty stomach that I write a negative review (which I really don't want to do.). Here's the thing: the tacos are bomb. So freaking good, but... BUT they are so hard to get. Pretty small even for street taco standards, and the taco: price ratio pushes the boundaries even in this super inflated market. Based on the advertised hours, ' Open from 5 until 11:00pm,' I drove all the way to 8482 Cherry Avenue for some tacos and the food truck was not there. I've called ahead - no answer, no truck, no tacos, not happy. This is not the first time Izzy has done this. I just wish they update their hours on days they're supposed to be there. Disappointed I'm a huge small and local business supporter and understand that the saturated taco truck market makes it hard to find 'the spot'. This was my spot but it's one-two-three strikes you're out. Izzy you were good but it's time to find a taco truck that at least updates their hours or answers there phones. read more

The lady who works the register is very nice and that's the only reason why I didn't give this a one star. How this place is five star rated, I have no clue. This can be way better! I lied ... there is one more reason I didn't give it a one star. Their truck is surprisingly clean! I'm not a hater on this place at all. I want the food to be good here because it's a clean truck and the people cool. Switch something up please Izzy! Try a different marinate on the meat. Keep it simple. This is my go-to spot for asada tacos. What I like best about this place is they don't skimp on the meat. The asada tacos that I order are STACK with meat. They also include three type of salsas mild green, creamy green (my favorite) , and spicy red. I would say the salsas are similar to El Guero nearby. The asada nacho is great as well.But you need to make sure to eat it while it's still hot. If you plan to take it home and it's more than 15 min away.
