If you don't think this shop gets these puppies from a puppy mill you are not intelligent.... I know these puppies are cute and all puppies deserve a home but you buying a puppy from here creates demand at the puppy mill. These dogs are all so sick. There was blood coming from one of the puppies urine and among reporting it to a worker he shrugged his shoulders and said which one... then no actions were taken. If you're going to buy a purebred buy from a responsible breeder. Or look into puppy rescues. Don't be a fool. read more

I want to start off by saying, most of the poor reviews are correct. I bought my puppy from them in February. A few days later, he had blood in his stool. Nothing like parvo, and his stool was better after visiting the vet. I am not a fan of pet stores at all, but I was waiting for my hour long reservation at the restaurant across the street and decided to stop by. The animals are absolutely adorable, but there's no way to see which animals are "sold" until they yell at you from across the room that you can't hold that one because it's sold. The owner and i'm assuming his daughter are extremely loud and rude and throw the dogs around like they're nothing. However, Lexi was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, she kept asking if we were doing okay, and she seemed to really want to help me with my dog. I even went in a couple weeks ago just to show her a picture of how big my pup has gotten and she remembered us, and my dogs name. She was awesome. Moral of the story, The store itself wasn't very clean and the owner and his daughter were rude and did not help whatsoever. read more

Perfect pets is far from perfect. As soon as I walked in I realized basically anyone can hold the pets, they say you have to be over 18 but don't check ids. They also don't make you put on sanitizer for the pets safety. Another thing I noticed is dogs were always out of water and noticeably dehydrated, at one point I had to tell an employee how dehydrated a dog was and that they needed a refill on their water. Again, another major issue, dogs that should not be together were. Dogs also would just try to climb out of the box which would make them fall about 4ft, at times I, a customer, had to run across the room to save an animal from falling out. The poop would linger, every now and then they would clean it up but some poop was kept in there for at least an hour. The parrot was able to unlock his cage, clearly getting neglected, my boyfriend had to lock it back up while the parrot was trying to bite him. The hamsters were the worst to see, they were all kept together in small enclosures, some even had infected open wounds that nobody cared to treat. This establishment left me feeling disturbed and horrified I walked out crying and immediately began writing this review. Adopt don't shop to stop horrific establishments like this, the animals are being treated horribly. I'm not saying it's just the employees faults but there are definitely issues with how this place is ran and the rules the higher ups have for their employees. read more

This place is terrible to their animals. They were all in cramped spaces and every single cage had feces in it that the dogs were rolling around in and the workers ignored me when I asked to clean it. The waters were all dirty and the dogs looked lethargic and unhappy. A cat clearly needed medical attention, its eyes were surrounded by a rash and full of crust. When I asked them about the cat they completely ignored me and acted like they didn't hear me. The employees are completely not empathetic of the animals and should not be allowed to care for a single living thing, let alone a store full of puppies and cats. If you have any love for animals and don't want to endorse their mistreatment and abuse then this place should be avoided at all cost. Worse than any other pet store I have been to and that says a lot. read more

Awful experience! I knew exactly what I wanted, and I came in on 11/19/18 with cash to buy an English bulldog or a French bulldog. (I bought an English bulldog here about 2 years ago and wanted to get him a friend). I was so excited when I came here and saw that they had a French bulldog! When I asked the man if he could unlock the kennel so I could see the frenchie he was IMMEDIATELY SO rude. He literally turned mourn and yelled "I can't be brining those frenchies in and out all day, thats a 3800 dog, Not unless you're serious and actually have that kind of money and can give me and ID and show me you can afford it. You young people always come in here just to see them." He then flat out asked if I actually had that kind of money (which I did- IN CASH because I planned on buying a dog! The entire time he was talking to me he was literally yelling and other customers in the store were staring. It was very uncomfortable. All I did was politely ask if I could see the dog. I understand entirely if these dogs have had too much activity and don't need to be bothered constantly. But there was a polite way to talk to me. He could have simply explained that they have been in and out a lot and he would prefer to only bring them out if I was serious about buying one. His tone was very aggressive, He insulted me for being young, insinuated that I couldn't afford the dog, and embarrassed me (and himself) in a room full of people! He went on a long rant without me saying a word and finally ended with "so are you serious about buying a dog or not?" I told him that I was when I came in but that I wasn't anymore and I walked out. He then yelled across the store "I'm sorry you're offended!" again, the entire store watching. I was very insulted. read more

We bought a puppy from here 9 days ago. They have a policy that if you go to the vet within 5 days, they will pay for the cost of it is sick. My kids got sick and we had a crazy week, so I could only get her in today. She started pooping blood so I called the emergency vet listed on the list they gave me of vets that they recommend. Got into the vet right away. Turns out she has an upper respiratory infection and a parasite. They store did pay for her meds but we still had to pay for almost $200 for the fecal lab and the visit. I called to ask them if they would be able to cover anymore. I was yelled at by an employee and then the owner called me back later and yelled at me as well. He told me that if I take care of my kids I should also take care of my dog. Awful man. Do not buy from here. read more

Rose is sweet and, of course, the puppies are ADORABLE! We are in love with our "Havanese" and we got lucky! Buyer Beware: I have done research and unfortunately found that most of the puppies, from Perfect Pets, are from Puppy Mills and not necessarily "Breeders." I also found that, after doing much research, DNA tests are 90%-95% True. The owner will argue that point and say all DNA tests are "LIES". So to make a very long story short we thought we bought a (mostly) Havanese- but NOT true and according to her DNA test she is many different breeds within only just her parents and grandparents not to mention her great-grandparents. We felt lied to and said her paper work should have been "Havanese Mix" but the owner told me he doesn't do things that way because they look at the dog and see what is most dominant. In addition, we didn't understand what a hernia is (that our puppy already had stitches for). A hernia is genetic, so thus she should not have puppies, which we had been hoping for. My point is, buyer beware. Breeders are more careful and next time we will buy direct. read more

Broke my heart going into this store, the dogs are adorable but kept in completely awful conditions. One puppy whom I was interested in had poop all over her nose and when I spoke to an employee they said it was water???? I had to push for her to even clean the poor pup up. They are kept in tiny cages with multiple dogs and the employees are too busy on their phones to even clean up the cages which leads to the dogs rolling in their own messes. So not ok, and so needs to either A- make a big change in how this business is run, or B- get shut down. read more

I love dogs more than anyone and that is why I say PLEASE do not even step foot into this place. I am very involved in the "dog world" so I knew better than to go in but did anyways, saw a clearly sick dog on discount (they also told me if I came back the next day he would be on bigger discount because they have to "get rid of him to make room for the new puppies" what does that mean?!) and couldn't resist. The prices they sell horribly needs mutts for is insane but it doesn't even end there, I have had my boy a year and to this day we are in and out of the vet constantly. I love my boy more than anything but it makes me sick I supported this place. The employees seem very sweet and will completely brain wash you into believing they only buy from reputable breeders. Any reputable breeder would NEVER sell to a pet store. I looked up the "breeder"my boy came from and it is a horrific puppy mill, don't believe me look up ajs angels puppy mill. Graphic pictures & reports that make me sick. Employees also brainwashed me into believing that if my puppy had any health issues that they would cover it for me and made it seem as though the owner really cares. That couldn't be further from the truth. My pup has had a horrible gash in his ear that has gotten worse and worse since I got him, after going to the vet a couple times trying medications and tests I reached out to the owner and sent him pictures of my dogs bloody ear and he has the nerve to tell me "it's normal in his breed". First of all.. I have worked first hand with at least 100 dogs his same breed and I've never seen anything close, vets have even told me it is not normal and can't figure it out besides bad breeding, second my dog gushes blood everyday and not only are you not concerned you tell me that it's normal?! How is that normal?! I could go on but please please, do not support this place. If we stop supporting places like this, eventually puppy mills (ABUSE) will stop too. read more

I have been in here several times and every time it is very sanitary, organized and professional. The puppies all have very clean cages, continues water, food and tons of attention! The employees are very helpful and are more than willing to assist with anything. Lexi and Jacki are very professional and answer every question I have ever had. I came in the store last weekend and was appalled by the way the store owner was treating his employee along with his over all behavior. He was blatantly yelling at the employee telling her how to correctly do the job. He was acting as if he wanted everyone to listen to him. Disgusting. When I watched the owner take out a dog by their neck and force a pill down the dog's throat, I was disturbed by how insensitive and rough he was. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. THIS MAN IS TRASH. I would be careful getting a dog from here. My sister purchased a puppy from here three weeks ago. That puppy has been sick since she got him . She took him to the vet they suggest you to take them to the day after she purchase him for his check up. She came home with $100 in medication for the puppy. She is now at the vet hospital because the poor puppy has pneumonia. He has had diarrhea since she brought him home. She has spent over $500 trying to get this puppy healthy after spending $1000 just to buy him. And the owner of the business doesn't want to do anything at all. Terrible business if you ask me. I would think twice before I purchased an animal here. I feel sorry for the puppy and my sister's family. You get attached to these little guys and then he is sick the whole time, just a sad situation all the way around. read more

Local breeders? No, they get the dogs from a mill! The dogs are also skinny and look so sad! They are in glass tanks that are either too small or too big. In the tanks, they have some toys but they don't play with them, they have a food bowl with little food, and they drink out of a hamster bottle thing. They don't have a nice bed or anything comfortable to lay, sit and stand on, they are on some straw-like hay stuff. Stupid! I bet it hurt their feet! I have not bought a dog, but I have friends who have, the dog was sick and they have paid $200 so that they can help the dog, the store said that they would help but they gave in like 30 dollars and did not help with anything after that. The dog sadly did pass, and now they are never going back. They do sell other things such as small rodents, which I have bought one. They have rats, hamsters, gunnie pigs, mice, and bunnies. I bought a rat. They keep the hamsters on a table that has small pannles keeping them apart, they look like they could break! The rats and mice are kept in small glass tanks, but rats and mice need open cadges to survive, with glass tanks they are more likely to get sick, they are also kept with all of the family, there are baby rats in the same tank as about 10 -15 others. The rat they I bought was very sick, you could she her ribs and she was breathing in a weird way, about two weeks later she passed. The store, did not smell very good, the dogs were the things that made the store smell I dont think they have ever got a bath, if they did it was probably with a samp paper towel, in the back where all of the things you could buy for your pets, like cadges, jackets, food, etc. The back of the store was fine. The man who made this store, said he graduated from CU and got a Wildlife Biology and a minor in Fisheries and German. I think he needs to go back to school and make sure he knows what he shoudl be doing because he aint doing it right! I dont think you should buy from this store, it really sucks, and your pets might not make it. If you really want to buy just make sure you really think about it, and find out all you need to know about the pet your going to buy before you buy the pet from this place. I purchased my pomapoo from Perfect pets and Jens and Rose helped me through the entire process. They are full of helpful and educated information on their animals. They seem to take extra special care of each and every puppy, you can see the pride they have for the shop and professionalism. Some of these older comments are lies. I did my homework on this company searching for anything issue or puppy mill association and I contact the better business bureau, everything came up clear and received A+ contrary to made up things #fakenews that anti pet shop people report. My puppy is extremely healthy and she was well groomed and taken care of when she was under their care and still in great health since I have had her home, no hidden issues here. read more

Our family has been searching for the perfect pet for my mother in law after the passing of her two dogs. We knew the pet would need to be very special so we've been searching for quite some time. A friend of the family recommend Perfect Pets. On a Saturday after 5pm my husband, two girls and myself decided to check it out. It was a nice shop and their was a wide variety of pets to choose from. There were about 5 or six other customers looking around. We did not see any workers so we simply followed the actions of the other patrons. They were picking up the pets they wished to view. We noticed a sign stating that you had to be 18 years old to handle the pets so we only allowed our girls to pet the animals. We made our way over to the smaller dogs and one of my daughters spotted a Yorkie that she thought her grandmother would love. I came over and picked up the beautiful puppy. I quickly noticed that we were being watched. I can completely understand employees being mindful of patrons and acknowledge their presence but the two employees that were staring were not trying to help. They first glared then began talking to one another. There was an older male that looked like the manager and a younger girl. The girl then picked up what she was working on and came to the exact spot where my daughter and I were holding the puppy. She placed her things down and just stood there and didn't say a thing! I would have loved to hear the simple words " Hi there. Can I help you with anything today?" Basic customer service! Instead she just stood there! I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. I felt so uncomfortable that I asked her if I had done anything wrong. She said " No there's just a dog in there that is sold and everyone keeps touching it so I need to close the pen. WHAT!?! I was floored!! How do these people sell anything with sales people like that?? Sad and disappointed, I explained to my daughter that we would not be purchasing a pet for her grandmother from Perfect Pets. Recently bought our new fur baby from here! He is a four month old Yorkie/Pom and the sweetest little boy. He is full of energy and has been doing great with adjusting to his new home. He also gets along fantastically with kids, cats, and anyone he meets! Perfect pets provides a free vet visit, which, for us, was extremely helpful. Our pup did come up positive for giardia, but the store paid for all his medication and treatment. (Let me add that giardia is common in any puppy/dog from shelters or pet stores). He was also up to date on all his shots/deworming. The service we received when there was fantastic! Rose was extremely helpful in leading us to find this cutie, especially on a tighter budget. The place is clean, full of healthy looking dogs, and amazing staff. I was nervous to purchase from a pet store because of such negative reviews and poor treatment of dogs, but it is clear they take great care of the animals. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the market for a new little fur ball! This is our first dog and the process couldn't have been easier! read more

Why are people still going to this place after reviews are horrible. The place is sad. The dogs have a little better than a hamster bottle to drink from splitting it amongst several dogs. It is always empty. When you call attention to it they fill it up and then the dogs go after it like they are so thirsty (which they are) and barely get anything out. They fight with it. There are too many dogs in the pen. I got a toy out to play and they were like shocked and didn't know what it was. They are puppies, they need to play with toys! They ask double the price for the dogs and you try and get them down on price (which is the price breeders ask) for a dog that has been there way too long (2 mos sadly) and they are just RUDE. The only decent thing about this place is you can pet and hold the dogs and give them the attention they need and are looking for. I would never purchase a dog from here due to many factors spelled out in these reviews which I agree on wholeheartedly. read more

I love this place! I volunteer here all the time and I bought a dog too. Their customer service is amazing and so are their puppies. When I bought a puppy here, I had amazing customer service. Right when I walked in, the sales person there was super nice and asked if they could help with anything. They asked me what kind of dog I was looking for, if I had another dog, and stuff like that. she then directed me towards one that I fell instantly in love with. Wish I could remember her name to thank her and giver her a shout out! The people who work here are awesome too. whenever I volunteer, the workers are super nice and hang out with you. the floor has a very good layout. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Today I watched a teenage girl and her friends come into the store although the group was a bit loud they did not do a single thing wrong. One girl seemed to be having a particularly rough day, she was holding a puppy when the owner came over snatched the dog out of her hands and began yelling at her. He accused her of "teaching people how to steal puppies." He accused her of opening a cage. First off let me mention none of the dogs got out these are too high for the puppies to jump out of. Second of all the cage did not appear damaged or opened and very easily slid off. Third of all I had seen several other customers remove the cage tops. The only sign informing customers not to remove this was at the front of the store it wasn't very easily visible, also it is a store filled with puppies a sign that's the same size as a post card is not the first thing you see. The girl appeared very frightened she immediately apologized and tried to explain herself, the owner repeatedly interrupted her, continued yelling at her while the girl apologized over and over again saying "Sir this is a misunderstanding." He kept yelling and asked her to leave the store he yelled at this girl in front of other customers, in front of her friends, his employee's and made me uninterested in giving him my business. There was no harm done by the cage being opened all the dogs were safe and it was a simple misunderstanding. I was disgusted with this man this was a young girl and she was very polite and never once was she rude it was a simple misunderstanding. This man not only should loose his job for treating his customers with no respect but also should loose his business. Several puppies looked severely ill and were breathing very slowly, and not moving. The cages are too small for the amount of pets shoved into it and the cages are covered in feces.
